Schiltigheim (French: Schiltigheim, pronounced [ʃiltikajm], and sometimes [ʃiltiɡajm] by non-local speakers of French; Alsatian: Schelige [ˈʃelikə]; German: Schiltigheim) is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. The inhabitants are called Schilikois in French and Scheligemer in Alsatian. It is the largest suburb of the city of Strasbourg, and is adjacent to it on Strasbourg's north side. In 2017, Schiltigheim was the third-most populous commune in the Bas-Rhin (after Strasbourg and Haguenau), with a total population of 31,894.

The canton of Schiltigheim is an administrative division of the Bas-Rhin department, northeastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Schiltigheim.It consists of the following communes: Bischheim Schiltigheim

The Canton of Bischheim is a former canton in Alsace, France. It had 28,522 inhabitants (2012). It consisted of two municipalities: Bischheim and Hoenheim.This canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the District of Strasbourg. With the founding of arrondissements in 1800, Bischheim was merged into the Arrondissement of Strasbourg. On June 28, 1900 the canton became part of the Arrondissement of Strasbourg-Campagne. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. To the north the canton of Bischheim bordered with the canton of Mundolsheim and to the south with the canton of Schiltigheim.

The Bischheim Musée du bain rituel juif (Jewish ritual bath museum of Bischheim) is a museum in Bischheim, France, in which Jewish bathing rituals were practiced, now recognized as a historical monument in France.

The Lycée Kléber is a French public secondary school located in the Alsatian capital Strasbourg. This lycée bears the name of the famous French Général Kléber who was murdered in Egypt in 1800.

The Palais des Fêtes (Festival Palace) is a music venue in the Neustadt district of Strasbourg, in the French department of the Bas-Rhin. Built for the male choral society of Strasbourg (German: Strassburger Männergesangverein) in 1903, it has served as the principal concert hall of the city and home to the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg until 1975. It has been classified as a Monument historique since 2007.Well known conductors such as Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Charles Munch, Bruno Walter, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Herbert von Karajan, Karel Ančerl, Pierre Boulez and Lorin Maazel, among others, have all conducted guest concerts in the Palais.

The House on 22, Rue du Général de Castelnau is an Art Nouveau building in the Neustadt district of Strasbourg, France. It is classified as a Monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1975. Located at the angle of Rue du Général de Castelnau and Rue du Maréchal Foch, it has a triangular plan and two facades. The house was built from 1901 until 1903 by the architects Franz Lütke (1860–1929) and Heinrich Backes (1866–1931), who used one of the floors as their office. Lütke and Backes were professional partners from 1898 until 1907. A very prolific duo, they built a number of other Art Nouveau houses in Strasbourg, of which several are classified as Monuments historiques as well (such as 46, Avenue des Vosges; 56, Allée de la Robertsau; 4, Rue Erckmann-Chatrian; and 24, Rue Twinger).In spite of the use of reinforced concrete, the house is described as "lithe and light" (souple et léger). It has been called "probably the finest Art Nouveau apartment building in the city".

The Aar is a river in the administrative district of Bas-Rhin which crosses the municipalities of Strasbourg and Schiltigheim. It is an arm which separates from the Ill at the University bridge to rejoin it at lock no 51 in Schiltigheim. Together the Aar and the Ill form the island of Saint-Hélène.
