Exford, Victoria

Weir Views is a suburb located in the City of Melton, 35 km (22 mi) west of Melbourne's Central Business District. Weir Views recorded a population of 4,348 at the 2021 census. But in 2023 there might be up to 4,375 to 4,390 people. The suburb was gazetted by the Office of Geographic Names on 9 February 2017, following a proposal for eleven new suburbs by the City of Melton. Before the suburb's creation, the area was part of Melton South. The traditional owners of the land are the Wurundjeri people. Weir Views consists of five housing estates: Seventh Bend, Exford Waters, Opalia, Orchard Green, and Toolern Waters. The estate of Exfort Waters contains the St Lawrence of Brindisi Catholic Primary School, which is a branch of St Anthony's of Padua Catholic Primary School.The estate of Opalia has a small shopping centre named Opalia Plaza, containing a Woolworths supermarket, a Chemist Warehouse pharmacy, a McDonald's restaurant, and several speciality stores and cafes.

Toolern Creek is a small tributary of the Werribee River in Victoria. The creek rises near Toolern Vale and flows through the Melbourne suburbs of Melton and Melton South, separating the industrial and residential areas of these suburbs. The creek forms a confluence with the Werribee River at Exford immediately downstream from the Melton Reservoir. A community group called Friends of Toolern Creek has been formed to preserve and restore the environment of the creek. The group holds an annual festival, the Toolern Creek Platypus Festival, to celebrate the platypus in the local waterways.Residents in the Melton area can make use of the nearby Toolern Creek Trail.

Melton Viaduct is a railway viaduct south west of the city of Melton in Victoria, Australia. The 357-metre (1,171 ft) viaduct carries the Serviceton railway line over the valley of the Werribee River, now dammed to create Melton Reservoir. The girder and trestle viaduct was built in 1885 by Victorian Railways to establish a direct rail route between the cities of Melbourne and Ballarat.The viaduct was listed on the Victorian Heritage Register in 2013.

Strathtulloh recorded a population of 3,997 at the 2021 census.The suburb was gazetted by the Office of Geographic Names on 9 February 2017, following a proposal for eleven new suburbs by the City of Melton. The new name officially came into effect on 23 August 2017.Prior to the suburb's creation, the area was part of Melton South. Strathtulloh is the name of a heritage-listed property in the suburb, located on Greigs Road.

Mount Cottrell is a town in Victoria, Australia, 31 km (19 mi) west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Melton and Wyndham local government areas. Mount Cottrell recorded a population of 496 at the 2021 census.It is named after Anthony Cottrell, a member of the Port Phillip association who was allotted the land by the company in about 1835–36. The original "No.10" hut was located about 1.5 km north of the Mount Cottrell summit.The town of Mount Cottrell consists of mainly privately owned open land. The town is named after the 200m high mountain it encompasses, Mount Cottrell, the most massive of the Werribee Plains volcanoes, a volcanic cone formed by the radial eruption of numerous lava tongues. The mountain was purchased by Melton Council in 2007 to preserve the significant geological and flora and fauna values on the site. Mount Cottrell Post Office opened on 1 January 1866, closed in 1895, reopened in 1902 and closed again in 1958.
