Cobblebank

Cobblebank railway station is a regional railway station on the Ararat line. It serves the western suburb of Cobblebank, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Cobblebank station is a ground level premium station, featuring two side platforms. It opened on 1 December 2019. The station was provisionally named as Toolern. However, during construction, it was given the name "Cobblebank".

Strathtulloh recorded a population of 3,997 at the 2021 census.The suburb was gazetted by the Office of Geographic Names on 9 February 2017, following a proposal for eleven new suburbs by the City of Melton. The new name officially came into effect on 23 August 2017.Prior to the suburb's creation, the area was part of Melton South. Strathtulloh is the name of a heritage-listed property in the suburb, located on Greigs Road.

Staughton College is a secondary school in Melton South, Melbourne, Australia. It was established as Melton South Technical School in 1979 focusing on technical education. The school was transformed into Secondary College following Victorian education reforms that reorganized the structure of state schools from into colleges. The college was called Wilson Park Secondary College. The school is located on Wilson Road in Melton South next to the Melton South Campus of Victoria University, Australia.

Melton is a ground level premium station featuring two side platforms. It opened on 2 April 1884, with the second platform added in 1991. The station is currently being rebuilt as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project, with the new station planned to open in 2026. The new station will be an elevated premium station with four platforms. Platform 1 and 4 will be side platforms, and Platform 2 and 3 will be an island platform with two faces. The new station will accommodate 9-carriage VLocity trains, which are planned to be introduced on the line in 2027.

Melton South is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 37 km (23 mi) west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Melton local government area. Melton South recorded a population of 11,362 at the 2021 census.

Toolern Creek is a small tributary of the Werribee River in Victoria. The creek rises near Toolern Vale and flows through the Melbourne suburbs of Melton and Melton South, separating the industrial and residential areas of these suburbs. The creek forms a confluence with the Werribee River at Exford immediately downstream from the Melton Reservoir. A community group called Friends of Toolern Creek has been formed to preserve and restore the environment of the creek. The group holds an annual festival, the Toolern Creek Platypus Festival, to celebrate the platypus in the local waterways.Residents in the Melton area can make use of the nearby Toolern Creek Trail.

Originally a country town along the Ballarat — Melbourne growth corridor, Melton was designated a satellite city of Melbourne in 1974. Along with the rest of the City of Melton, it forms a part of Greater Melbourne and counts as part of its population statistic. In 2023, Melbourne's significant urban area boundary was expanded to include Melton. Like the overall local government area, Melton was named after Melton Mowbray in the United Kingdom.

Weir Views is a suburb located in the City of Melton, 35 km (22 mi) west of Melbourne's Central Business District. Weir Views recorded a population of 4,348 at the 2021 census. But in 2023 there might be up to 4,375 to 4,390 people. The suburb was gazetted by the Office of Geographic Names on 9 February 2017, following a proposal for eleven new suburbs by the City of Melton. Before the suburb's creation, the area was part of Melton South. The traditional owners of the land are the Wurundjeri people. Weir Views consists of five housing estates: Seventh Bend, Exford Waters, Opalia, Orchard Green, and Toolern Waters. The estate of Exfort Waters contains the St Lawrence of Brindisi Catholic Primary School, which is a branch of St Anthony's of Padua Catholic Primary School.The estate of Opalia has a small shopping centre named Opalia Plaza, containing a Woolworths supermarket, a Chemist Warehouse pharmacy, a McDonald's restaurant, and several speciality stores and cafes.

The City of Melton is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, on Melbourne's western rural–urban fringe. It covers 528 square kilometres (203.9 sq mi), and as of the 2021 census, Melton had a population of 178,960. It is governed by the Melton City Council. The seat of local government and administrative offices are located at Council headquarters in Melton, the settlement after which the city takes its name which lies at the western end of the LGA and is currently its largest urban area with a population of over 54,000. City of Melton has a rapid population growth rate, ranked 3rd fastest among LGAs in Victoria in 2010. It was granted city status in 2012.
