Musée Delta

The Musée Delta (English: Delta Museum), is a French aerospace museum, located at the south of Paris–Orly Airport, south of Paris, and in the commune of Athis-Mons. It was inaugurated in 1988.Its main purpose is to present the aircraft which have made the history of the aeronautical technology of the Delta wing. It is the southern counterpart of the Musée de l'air et de l'espace located in Le Bourget.

Air France Flight 007 crashed on 3 June 1962 while on take-off from Orly Airport. The only survivors of the disaster were two flight attendants; the other eight crew members, and all 122 passengers on board the Boeing 707, were killed. The crash was at the time the worst single-aircraft disaster and the first single civilian jet airliner disaster with more than 100 deaths.

Paray-Vieille-Poste (French pronunciation: [paʁɛ vjɛj pɔst] ) is a commune in the Essonne department in Île-de-France in northern France. Paris-Orly Airport is partially located in the commune.

The 1978 Orly Airport attack was a shoot-out that took place on 20 May 1978 in the Paris Orly Airport, France as three terrorists armed with submachine guns opened fire at the El Al boarding gate. The terrorists were also reportedly carrying grenades and plastic explosives in the shoot-out that lasted for 25 minutes. Two people including one police officer were killed before the three terrorists were shot and killed by French police and Israeli security guards. Five people waiting to board a nearby Iberia flight to Malaga were wounded. The airport was evacuated for about three hours after the attack. According to Israeli sources the group behind the attack was a unit headed by Abu Nidal which cooperated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

The Orly Airport attack was the 15 July 1983 bombing of a Turkish Airlines check-in counter at Orly Airport in Paris, by the Armenian militant organization ASALA as part of its campaign for the recognition of and reparations for the Armenian genocide. The explosion killed eight people and injured 55.

Paris Orly Airport (French: Aéroport de Paris-Orly), commonly referred to as Orly (IATA: ORY, ICAO: LFPO), is an international airport located partially in Orly and partially in Villeneuve-le-Roi, 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, France. It serves as a secondary hub for domestic and overseas territories flights of Air France and as the homebase for Transavia France. Flights operate to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean and North America. Before the opening of Charles de Gaulle Airport in 1974, Orly was the main airport of Paris. Even with the shift of most international traffic to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly remains the busiest French airport for domestic traffic and the second busiest French airport overall in passenger traffic, with 33,120,685 passengers in 2018. The airport is operated by Groupe ADP under the brand Paris Aéroport. Since February 2018, the CEO of the airport has been Régis Lacote.

Orly – Sud is an Orlyval station in front of the South Terminal of Orly Airport. It consists of two half stations on a viaduct that runs along the northern facade of the terminal. The access is through Gate K in the baggage claim area.

Aéroport d'Orly station is a future Paris Métro station serving as the terminus station of Line 14 and of Line 18, part of the Grand Paris Express project. It is located on the land of the commune Paray-Vieille-Poste and will serve Orly Airport, about 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris. The station is planned to open together with the extension of Line 14 to the south in June 2024, shortly before the start of the Olympic Games. Line 14 will connect Orly Airport to Olympiades (its current southern terminus within Paris) in a travel time of 16 minutes. The station will improve the transport offering at Orly Airport, which is currently served by tramway T7 and by the orlyval automated shuttle to Antony station on line RER B. Line 18 of Grand Paris Express is planned to start running from the station in 2027, serving Massy – Palaiseau, the Saclay plateau and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Thus, it will connect the airport to Paris-Saclay, a research and business cluster to the south of Paris that is currently under construction. In 2030, the line will reach Versailles-Chantiers. The station is being built on the level of the last extension of the parking garage P0, right next to a connector building connecting the South and West terminals. Work began in March 2017 with the demolition of a road bridge opposite the drop-off point and the P0 parking extension. Construction of the station started in September 2018 for delivery in 2024.The station will be operated by RATP Dev from its opening in 2024 until at least 2027.

Orly – Ouest is an Orlyval station in the northern part of the West Terminal of Orly Airport, near Hall 1.

Athis-Mons (French: [atisˈmɔ̃s] ) is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 16.5 km (10.3 mi) from the center of Paris. Inhabitants are called Athégiens. A small part of Orly International Airport lies on the territory of the commune of Athis-Mons.

The canton of Athis-Mons is an administrative division of the Essonne department, Île-de-France region, northern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Athis-Mons.It consists of the following communes: Athis-Mons Juvisy-sur-Orge Paray-Vieille-Poste

The Hôtel de Ville (French pronunciation: [otɛl də vil], City Hall) is a municipal building in Athis-Mons, Essonne, in the southern suburbs of Paris, standing on Place du Général-de-Gaulle. It has been included on the Inventaire général des monuments by the French Ministry of Culture since 2001.
