The Tokyo Equestrian Park (馬事公苑, Bajikōen) is an equestrian sport venue located in Setagaya, Tokyo. The venue is owned by the Japan Racing Association and is a public park all year round, known familiarly as 'Horse Park'.It was constructed in 1940 for the Olympics, but after the Games were cancelled, it was used for the promotion of equestrian events of all sorts. The Park also hosted a training facility for prospective jockeys until the Horseracing School was opened in 1982. This venue also hosted most of the equestrian competitions at the Tokyo 1964 Games as well as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.In preparation for the 2020 Olympics, the Equestrian Park was closed to the public in order to conduct renovations in 2016. Operations were moved to Utsunomiya in a limited capacity in 2017, and is scheduled to return to Setagaya in November 2023.

NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories (STRL, Japanese: NHK放送技術研究所, romanized: NHK Hōsō Gijutsu Kenkyūjo), headquartered in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, is responsible for technical research at NHK, Japan's public broadcaster. Work done by the STRL includes research on direct-broadcast satellite (BS), Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting, high-definition television, and ultra-high-definition television. On May 9, 2013, NHK and Mitsubishi Electric announced that they had jointly developed the first High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) encoder for 8K Ultra HD TV, which is also called Super Hi-Vision (SHV). The HEVC encoder supports the Main 10 profile at Level 6.1 allowing it to encode 10-bit video with a resolution of 7680 × 4320 at 60 fps. The HEVC encoder has 17 3G-SDI inputs and uses 17 boards for parallel processing with each board encoding a row of 7680 × 256 pixels to allow for real time video encoding. The HEVC encoder was shown at the NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories Open House 2013 that took place from May 30 to June 2.

Soichi Bunko is a library in Japan that holds the popular, non-academic magazines and books collected and prized by Oya Soichi, with continuations of the collection after he died. Magazines include those about the popular culture of the day. Oya Soichi played an important role as a social critic for 50 years, during which time he published translations, anthologies, and books and also accumulated over 200,000 magazines, journals, and books. After he died in 1970, Oya Soichi Bunko was founded in Hachimanyama, Tokyo and later in Ogose, Saitama in an effort to catalog the books written by Oya Soichi as well as make available his own significant body of work.

Kinuta Park (砧公園, Kinuta Kōen) is a park in Setagaya, Tokyo. The total area is 39 hectares (390,000 m2), about two-thirds of which (24 hectares (240,000 m2)) is grass. Kinuta Park is famous for its cherry blossom (sakura) viewing. It has at least three varieties—Someiyoshino (photo), Yamazakura, and Yaezakura—and this makes for a relatively long hanami viewing season of over two weeks.

It is a hospital established and operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and is a general hospital equipped with other clinical departments as well as a psychiatric hospital. Its address is 2-1-1, Kamikitazawa, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. It is one of the largest centres for psychiatric care in Japan.
