The Place Sainte-Catherine (French) or Sint-Katelijneplein (Dutch) is a square in the Quays or Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne Quarter of Brussels, Belgium.

Sainte-Catherine (French) or Sint-Katelijne (Dutch) is a Brussels metro station. It is located at the Place Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijneplein, between the Quai aux Briques/Baksteenkaai and the Quai au Bois à Brûler/Brandhoutkaai, in the municipality of the City of Brussels (Belgium). It is also situated near St. Catherine's Church, which gives the station its name. The station was inaugurated on 13 April 1977, when Brussels' first metro line (line 1) was converted from premetro (underground tram) to heavy metro. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by lines 1 and 5, which use the same tracks at this point.

The Brussels Centre for Fashion and Design (French: Centre Bruxellois de la Mode et du Design; Dutch: Brussels Centrum voor Mode en Design), operating under the brand name Mode and Design Brussels (MAD Brussels), is a fashion and design centre in Brussels, Belgium. It was established in 2010 by the City of Brussels and the Brussels-Capital Region as a non-profit association to promote the city as a hub for designers and creators. Shortly afterwards, the existing associations Modo Brussels and Designed in Brussels merged into the new organisation. In 2017, MAD Brussels moved into a new building located between the Place du Nouveau Marché aux Grains/Nieuwe Graanmarkt and the Rue du Rempart des Moines/Papenvest. The project, carried out by the architecture firm V+ in collaboration with Rotor, transformed three existing buildings into a single complex dominated by white interiors. The redevelopment cost more than eight million euros, financed by the city, the Region, and the European Union. Today, together with the French Community, these institutions remain sponsors of MAD Brussels, which employs fourteen staff members

Saint Catherine's Church (French: Église Sainte-Catherine, Dutch: Sint-Katelijnekerk) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Brussels, Belgium. It is dedicated to Saint Catherine. The current church was designed by the architect Joseph Poelaert and built between 1854 and 1874 on the site of a basin of the former Port of Brussels, replacing an older church dating back to the 15th century. The complex was designated a historic monument in 1981.The church is located on the Place Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijneplein, in the Quays Quarter. This site is served by Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne metro station on lines 1 and 5 of the Brussels Metro.

Le Cheval Marin (French) or Het Zeepaard (Dutch) (transl. The Seahorse) is a monumental corner building in Brussels, located at Rue du Marché aux Porcs/Varkensmarkt 25 and Quai aux Briques/Baksteenkaai 90. Originally dated by cartouches to 1680, it is a prominent example of traditional brick-and-sandstone architecture with Baroque elements. Until the late 19th century, it was regarded as the most striking building in the city's former harbour district.

Het Zinneke (Brusselian dialect for "the mutt"), sometimes called Zinneke Pis by analogy with Manneken Pis, is a bronze sculpture in central Brussels, Belgium, erected in 1998. Created by Tom Frantzen, it represents a urinating dog, along the same lines as Manneken Pis (a boy) and its derivative Jeanneke Pis (a girl). It is an example of folk humour (zwanze) popular in Brussels.Het Zinneke is located at the junction of the Rue des Chartreux/Kartuizersstraat and the Rue du Vieux-Marché-aux-Grains/Oude Graanmarkt in the City of Brussels, not far from the Halles Saint-Géry/Sint-Gorikshallen, a former covered market, and one of the trendiest districts of the capital. In August 2015, Het Zinneke was struck by a car, and was restored by the sculptor.

The Anspach Fountain (French: Fontaine Anspach, Dutch: Anspachfontein) is an eclectic-style fountain-obelisk erected in 1897 in the centre of the Place de Brouckère/De Brouckèreplein in Brussels, Belgium. Designed by the architect Charles-Émile Janlet, it is dedicated to the memory of Jules Anspach, a former mayor of the City of Brussels.The monument was dismantled in 1973 following construction work on the Brussels Metro. It was reinstalled in 1981 in its current location on the Square des Blindés/Pantsertroepensquare, between the Quai aux Briques/Baksteenkaai and the Quai au Bois à Brûler/Brandhoutkaai, in the Sainte-Catherine/Sint Katelijne neighbourhood.

The Halles Saint-Géry (French) or Sint-Gorikshallen (Dutch) is a cultural centre in central Brussels, Belgium. It is located at 1, place Saint-Géry/Sint-Goriksplein, in a former covered market built in 1881–82. This site is served by the premetro (underground tram) station Bourse - Grand-Place/Beurs - Grote Markt on lines 4 and 10.

Saint-Géry Island (French: île Saint-Géry) or Sint-Goriks Island (Dutch: Sint-Gorikseiland ) was the largest island in the Senne (Zenne) river in Brussels, Belgium. It was named after Saint Gaugericus of Cambrai, who built a chapel there around 580; hence the name "Brussels", which comes from Bruocsella or Broekzele, meaning "settlement in the marsh". It ceased to exist as an island when the Senne was covered over in the late 19th century.

The Quays Quarter (French: Quartier des Quais; Dutch: Kaaienwijk), also known as the Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne Quarter (French: Quartier Sainte-Catherine; Dutch: Sint-Katelijnewijk), is a quarter of Brussels, Belgium. It is served by the metro stations Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne (on lines 1 and 5) and Yser/IJzer (on lines 2 and 6).

The Black Tower (French: Tour Noire, Dutch: Zwarte Toren) is a medieval tower in Brussels, Belgium. It is one of the best conserved remains of the first fortifications of Brussels, built at the start of the 13th century. It is located behind St. Catherine's Church on Rue de la Vierge Noire/Zwarte Maagdstraat. This site is served by the metro stations Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne and De Brouckère on lines 1 and 5 of the Brussels metro. The Black Tower is notable for being one single medieval tower surrounded by modern-day buildings. This odd sight has made it a popular tourist destination.

Le Cirio is a historic café in Brussels, established in 1886 and located on Rue de la Bourse/Beursstraat. The café features a highly decorated Belle Époque interior and a distinctive façade that has been preserved over the years. Since 2011, both the building and its frontage have been protected as heritage.
