Hastings–Sunrise is a neighbourhood located in the northeastern corner of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. One of Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods, Hastings–Sunrise is primarily residential, with a dense strip of shops and services along East Hastings Street and in pockets along Nanaimo Street, Broadway, Boundary Road and Renfrew Street. The residences are mostly single family detached dwellings, with some multi-family buildings. There is substantial parkland, and the area north of Hastings is partially zoned for light industrial.

PNE Agrodome is a sports arena located in Vancouver, British Columbia. It was built in 1963 and holds 5,000 people or 3,260 when configured to use the hockey or lacrosse surface. It annually hosted the provincial high school boys' 'AAA' basketball championships until 2010. The tournament moved to the Langley Events Centre in 2011. It was used as a professional wrestling venue by NWA All-Star Wrestling for bigger events in the 1960s and 1970s, and more recently by WWE for smaller events. It served as the home field for the Vancouver Whitecaps for the 1981–82 NASL indoor soccer season, when the Pacific Coliseum became unavailable.It was host to the Vancouver Voodoo roller hockey franchise from 1993 to 1994. It was home to the Vancouver Burrards Western Lacrosse Association team from 1990 through 1993. The team moved to the North Surrey Recreation Centre for the 1994 season. The venue played the role of the Soviet arena in the climactic fight between Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago in the movie Rocky IV. It also portrayed Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York for the film Miracle. It has also appeared in films such as Slap Shot 2 and Deadpool and in episodes of MacGyver, Booker, and Highlander. It was also disguised as a roller rink for the opening scene in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, due to the lack of a roller rink in Greater Vancouver. Most recently it served as an ice arena for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, a reboot of the 1990's The Mighty Ducks movie franchise, as the fictional Minnesota Igloo. The Arena hosted concerts by some of the world's biggest rock acts on their early tours. Some of these acts include The Rolling Stones (1965), Bob Dylan (1966), The Who (1967), Led Zeppelin (twice in 1969), Vanilla Fudge (1969), The Mothers of Invention (1969), Ike & Tina Turner (1970), Pink Floyd (1970), Deep Purple (1972) and Wishbone Ash (1975).

Pacific Coliseum, known to locals as "The Coliseum" or the "Rink on Renfrew," is an indoor arena located at Hastings Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. Its main use has been for ice hockey and the arena has been the home for several ice hockey teams. The arena was the home of the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League (WHL), from 2001 to 2016. Other hockey tenants of the Pacific Coliseum have been the Vancouver Canucks (Western Hockey League) from 1968 to 1970, Vancouver Canucks (National Hockey League) from 1970 to 1995, the Vancouver Nats (WHL) from 1972 to 1973, the Vancouver Blazers (World Hockey Association) from 1973 to 1975, and the Vancouver Voodoo (Roller Hockey International) from 1994 to 1995. It was completed in 1968 on the site of the Pacific National Exhibition. Its architect and plans were also used for Edmonton's Northlands Coliseum. Originally holding 15,038 for ice hockey, capacity has fluctuated slightly over the years and currently holds 16,281. During the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, it was the venue for figure skating and short track speed skating. The arena also hosts a variety of concerts and other events.

Con Jones Park was a sports facility located in East Vancouver that was mainly used for soccer. It opened in 1921, and was renamed Callister Park in 1942. After the demolition of the stadium in 1971, the area was redeveloped into a green space and retained the name Callister Park.

Hastings Racecourse is a horse-racing facility at Hastings Park, four miles from downtown Vancouver. Originally called East Park, it opened for business in 1889, making it Vancouver's longest continuously used professional sports facility. The racing operation is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, which acquired the lease of the city-owned track in 2004.

Notre Dame Regional Secondary is a co-ed Catholic Secondary school, under the administration of Catholic Independent Schools Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA) school board inn Canada. The school participates in sporting events under the name of the "Jugglers", with the team colours of blue, white and silver.

Playland Amusement Park is an amusement park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The amusement park is located at Hastings Park and is operated by the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), an organization that hosts an annual summer fair and exhibition adjacent to Playland. Playland opened at its current location in 1958, although its predecessor, Happyland, operated at Hastings Park from 1929 to 1957. Playland was formally made a division of the PNE in 1993. Playland operates seasonally, opening from May to September every year. The park also reopens in October for its annual "Fright Nights" Halloween themed events. As of 2018, the park operated 39 attractions, including three roller coasters. Additional rides are brought in from West Coast Amusements during the PNE's annual summer fair from mid-August to Labour Day; nearly doubling the number of rides at the park.

The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) is a nonprofit organization that operates an annual 15-day summer fair, 10-day winter fair, a seasonal amusement park, and indoor arenas in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The PNE fair is held at Hastings Park, beginning in mid-to-late August and ending in early September, usually Labour Day, and in mid-December until Christmas. The organization was established in 1907 as the Vancouver Exhibition Association, and organized its first fair at Hastings Park in 1910. The organization was renamed to the Pacific National Exhibition in 1946. During the mid-20th century, a number of facilities were built on the PNE grounds, including Pacific Coliseum and the PNE Agrodome. In 1993, the amusement park adjacent to the PNE, Playland, became a division of the PNE.

Corkscrew was a steel roller coaster located at 'Playland At the PNE' amusement park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is famous for its appearance in the 2006 motion picture Final Destination 3 (known in the movie as Devil's Flight) and the 2012 motion picture Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, as well as the popular television series Smallville (season three's "Magnetic"). The bonus disc of the Final Destination 3 DVD set includes behind-the-scenes footage shot on and around the coaster, documenting the challenges involved in shooting the complex scenes. As of March 2019, it is no longer listed on the park’s website and has been sold to an unannounced purchaser.

The PNE Roller Coaster is a wooden roller coaster at Playland in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Opened in 1958, it is the oldest roller coaster in Canada. The ride is 2,840 ft (870 m) long—which established it as the largest roller coaster in Canada at the time it was completed—and has a height of 68 ft (21 m) and speeds of up to 76 km/h (47 mph). The coaster was awarded the Coaster Classic and Roller Coaster Landmark statuses by American Coaster Enthusiasts.

Hastings Community Elementary is a public elementary school in Vancouver, British Columbia at Penticton and Franklin Street and part of School District 39 Vancouver. It is named after Rear-Admiral George Fowler Hastings (1814–1876), British Commander of the Pacific Squadron.

Located in the Hastings-Sunrise district of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, New Brighton Park is a waterfront park facing the North Shore Mountains with beach access to the Burrard Inlet. The park is surrounded by industrial plants, the Hastings Racecourse, as well as access to the Port of Vancouver. During the summer, the park becomes a popular location for recreational activity. There is a soccer pitch, tennis courts, barbecue/picnic sites, two playgrounds, beaches, and an outdoor pool. For local residents, New Brighton Park provides a nearby location with similar facilities found at other popular recreational parks such as Kitsilano Beach, which is located on the west side of Vancouver. New Brighton Park is also in the process of being connected to Hastings Park via Creekway Park, which will allow people to walk and cycle between the two locations.
