Vennes is a Lausanne Métro station on M2 line. It was opened on 27 October 2008 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Croisettes to Ouchy–Olympique. The station is located between Croisettes and Fourmi.

The Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC, French: Institut suisse de recherche expérimentale sur le cancer) is a not-for-profit institution founded in 1964 and located in Épalinges, Switzerland. Since 1 January 1, 2008, it is organized into two distinct entities: The ISREC Foundation whose mission is to continue to seek and provide resources for the support of translational cancer research projects and the training of young scientists. École Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande (English: New School of the French-speaking Switzerland) or ENSR International School is a private, co-educational boarding school, founded in 1906 and located in Lausanne, Switzerland. It has approximately 600 students and boarding facilities for students aged 12 and above. Lac de Sauvabelin (literally "Lake of Sauvabelin") is an artificial lake in the Sauvabelin forest, above Lausanne, Switzerland. The city of Lausanne authorized the construction of the lake in 1888.
