Chailly is a neighbourhood in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland. Located in the north of the city, it is populated by many young people, and is rich in different cultures. It is also known for the École nouvelle de la Suisse romande, a private school of high reputation. The place is the subject of a painting by French impressionist Frédéric Bazille (1841-1870), titled Landscape at Chailly

École française de Lausanne-Valmont is a Catholic French international school in Lausanne, Switzerland. It serves levels maternelle (preschool) through terminale, the final year of lycée (sixth form college/senior high school). The Marcelline Sisters of Milan established the school in 1963. As of 2016 it has over 400 students.

La Première (stylised La 1ère; English: The First) is the first French-language radio station in Switzerland, owned by RTS Radio Télévision Suisse. It began broadcasting in 1922 as the first overall radio station in Switzerland and only the third radio station to launch in Europe. Its programming is general, cultural and musical, its studios are located in Lausanne.

The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) is the international umbrella organization encompassing the major cue sports (billiards-type games), including carom billiards, pool games of several varieties, and snooker.The confederation was formed in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, on January 25, 1992. Its headquarters were previously located in Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium. Jean-Claude Dupont, of Belgium, served as WCBS' president from 2010 to 2015, followed by England's Jason Elliott Ferguson for 2015–2017. The station is located between Sallaz and Ours. The name of the station originates from the Lausanne University Hospital, Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois in French.

The Parc de Mon Repos is a public park of the city of Lausanne, Switzerland. The villa located in the centre of the park hosted the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee from 1922 to 1967.
