Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School is a private, co-educational, center-city, Catholic high school. It is located in downtown Dayton, in the U.S. state of Ohio, and is owned and operated by the Society of Mary and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. It is named after Blessed William Joseph Chaminade and St. Julie Billiart.

Dayton Union Station was a railroad station serving Dayton, Ohio with daily passenger trains of several railroads. The station was located at 251 W. Sixth Street at the intersection of Ludlow Street, and it opened in 1900, replacing an earlier depot built in the mid-1850s. It was owned by the Dayton Union Railroad Co., which was owned by the Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railway, the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, and the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad. Through a series of mergers over the years, it was ultimately owned by the New York Central Railroad, Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, and Pennsylvania Railroad. Colloquially called the "Tower Depot," it included a seven-story clock tower. In the first 30 years of operation, the station hosted as many as 66 passenger trains a day. In 1931 the station opened an elevated platform to alleviate congestion between trains, streetcars and automobiles.Famous people who stopped by the station included child actress Shirley Temple in 1944, President Harry S. Truman in 1948 and President Ronald Reagan in 1983, both of the latter two making campaign stops, Reagan making a whistle stop tour.

The Graphic Arts Building is a historic commercial building on the edge of downtown Dayton, Ohio, United States. Built in the 1920s, it long housed the publishing house of a Protestant denomination, and it has been named a historic site.

The Eagles Building built in 1916 is an historic Fraternal Order of Eagles meeting hall-office building located at 320 South Main Street in Dayton, Ohio. It is also known as the City Mission. On November 4, 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places

40 West 4th Centre is a 331 ft, 22-story office skyscraper located in Dayton, Ohio. Upon its completion in 1969, it was the tallest building in Dayton, but was surpassed by the Kettering Tower one year later. It is now the fourth tallest building. It was designed by architect Paul H. Deneau.

WDPS (89.5 FM) (for: Dayton Public Schools and its nickname Dayton's Power Source") is a radio station broadcasting a Jazz format. It serves its city of license, Dayton, Ohio, United States. The station is currently owned by Dayton Public Schools. Its programming is aired weekdays during school hours during the curricular school year. The frequency is shared with WQRP which airs a gospel music format when WDPS programming ends after the school day. According to a Dayton Daily News story dated July 21, 2009, the station has moved to new studios located in the David H. Ponitz Career Technology Center at 741 West Washington St. A switch to a "real jazz" format has also taken place.

The Dayton Daily News Building is a historic structure located at the corner of 4th and Ludlow Streets in Dayton, Ohio. It was designed by architect Albert Pretzinger for Dayton Daily News founder James M. Cox. According to Cox's autobiography, he was turned down for a loan by a local banker who told him “Newspapers have never been known to earn money. Of course we can’t accommodate you.” After being turned down for a bank loan to start the paper, Cox asked Pretzinger to "build him a damn bank" so it was modeled after the Knickerbocker Trust building in New York City. Among the most significant components of the three-story building are those surrounding the entrance: three bays wide, the facade features a set of Corinthian columns, a set of fluted columns in the Doric order that form a grand frontispiece around the entrance, and a partial pediment with a cornice supported by cornucopiae. Its walls are built of a mixture of wood and granite.The building was erected between 1908 and 1910 and expanded in the 1920s, 1950s and 1970s. The 1908 building was remodeled in 1989. On November 30, 1978, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. In April 2007, the newspaper's editorial and business offices moved to the former NCR Building 31 at 1611 S. Main St. on Dayton's south side, near the University of Dayton campus. The newer portions of the Dayton Daily News building were demolished in 2013. Only the 1908 building on the corner remains. The Schwind Building at 27 Ludlow, built in 1913, was imploded on August 17, 2013, as part of the demolition process.

The Commercial Building is a historic skyscraper in central Dayton, Ohio, United States. Constructed in the early twentieth century, it played an important part in the development of the western portion of downtown Dayton, and it is one of the most prominent surviving examples of the work of one of the most significant architects in the city's history. Located at the edge of what was once one of the city's leading commercial complexes, it has been named a historic site.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is a historic Catholic church building in downtown Dayton, Ohio, United States. Constructed at the end of the nineteenth century for a new parish, it closed in 1996, but was reopened in 2001 when a Vietnamese Catholic group began to use the church. This church building remains significant because of its grand architectural elements, which have led to its designation as a historic site.

The Dayton Arcade is a collection of nine buildings in Dayton, Ohio. The Arcade is a historic, architecturally elegant complex in the heart of Dayton's central business district. Built between 1902 and 1904, it was conceived by Eugene J. Barney of the Barney & Smith Car Company and consists of nine interconnecting buildings topped by a glass-domed rotunda, 70 feet (21 m) high and 90 feet (27 m) in diameter (detailing around the dome includes oak leaves and acorns, grain, rams' heads, wild turkeys, and cornucopia), below which two balconied upper floors circle the central enclave. As president of the Arcade Company, Barney made sure the Arcade had the latest innovations, including elevators, a power plant and a cold-storage plant. The architect was Frank M. Andrews, known also as architect for many of NCR's factory buildings (notable for their use of progressive fenestration) and the American Building (originally Conover) at Third and Main Streets in Dayton.
