Eddy Merckx is a Brussels metro station on the western branch of line 5. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels (Belgium). It is named after the Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx, five-times winner of the Tour de France. The station opened on 15 September 2003 as part of the Bizet–Erasme/Erasmus extension of former line 1B including the stations Erasme/Erasmus, CERIA/COOVI and La Roue/Het Rad. It is decorated with objects commemorating Merckx, including, displayed in a glass cabinet on the station platform, the bicycle on which he set the hour record in 1972. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by line 5.

CERIA (French) or COOVI (Dutch) is a Brussels metro station on the western branch of line 5. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels (Belgium). It serves the Food and Chemical Industries Education and Research Center (CERIA/COOVI), after which it is named. The station opened on 15 September 2003 as part of the Bizet–Erasme/Erasmus extension of former line 1B including the stations Erasme/Erasmus, Eddy Merckx and La Roue/Het Rad. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by line 5.

Erasme (French) or Erasmus (Dutch) metro station is the western terminus of line 5 on the Brussels metro. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels (Belgium). It lies at grade and has a single island platform, which can be reached through tunnels under the tracks. The station opened on 15 September 2003 as part of the extension of former line 1B including the stations La Roue/Het Rad, CERIA/COOVI and Eddy Merckx. It was designed by Philippe Samyn and Partners and is named after Erasmus Hospital which it serves. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by line 5.

Erasmus Hospital (French: Cliniques universitaires de Bruxelles - Hôpital Érasme, Dutch: Erasmus Ziekenhuis) is a hospital in the Anderlecht municipality of Brussels, Belgium. It is a teaching hospital associated with the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and was opened in 1977. It has 858 beds and 3000 staff, treating 26,000 inpatients and 260,000 outpatients each year.The hospital is named after Renaissance humanist and theologian Desiderius Erasmus, who lived in Anderlecht near the Saints-Pierre-et-Guidon church in the 16th century. All four children of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium (Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eléonore) were born at Erasmus Hospital. Beginning in 2018, the modernisation and extension of the hospital, called "New Erasme", will start in the south-west of the campus, next to the Bordet Institute.

The R.S.C. Anderlecht rugby section is a Belgian rugby union club from the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht.

The École supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) is a professional circus school located in Brussels, Belgium. The Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque de Bruxelles is one of very few colleges in the world to provide circus training leading to a diploma, along with the Centre National des Arts du Cirque de Châlons-en-Champagne in France, the Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, Canada, and the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, UK. In September 2003, the college was officially recognized by the French Community of Belgium and became the 17th institute of Higher Education in the Arts. ESAC offers a three-year course of study, at the end of which the student obtains a bachelor's degree in the performing arts and broadcasting and communication techniques, with a major in circus arts. The circus disciplines taught at ESAC include specialised circus skills, dynamic and static acrobatics, trampoline, specific physical preparation, dance and theatre. The curriculum also includes courses in stage management for circus, circus engineering, law, arts production, science and applied science in the circus arts (anatomy, biomechanics and dietetics). The school's mission is to train artists who will be able to integrate their research and creation into the evolution of the contemporary circus, creating new forms and new approaches to collective creation.

La Roue (French) or Het Rad (Dutch) is a Brussels metro station on the western branch of line 5. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels (Belgium). It serves the La Roue/Het Rad ("The Wheel") district, after which it is named. The station opened on 15 September 2003 as part of the Bizet–Erasme/Erasmus extension of former line 1B including the stations Erasme/Erasmus, Eddy Merckx and CERIA/COOVI. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by line 5.

Institut Jules Bordet is a specialized general hospital (with in part university beds) and research institute of the Université libre de Bruxelles which specializes in oncology. It is located in Brussels, Belgium. The institute is named after Jules Bordet (1870 – 1961), a Belgian immunologist and microbiologist who won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1919 for his discoveries relating to immunity. The institute is the only accredited OECI-designated comprehensive cancer centre in Belgium. The hospital is located nearby the academic Erasmus Hospital since end 2021.

La Roue (French) or Het Rad (Dutch), meaning "The Wheel", is a district of Anderlecht, a municipality of Brussels, Belgium. Located in the south of Anderlecht, it is one of this municipality's largest districts of and one of Brussels' main garden cities. Built in the 1920s, with its modest and picturesque houses, it offers a great vision of an early 20th century working class neighbourhood. It is also home to one of the largest agribusiness industry campuses in Belgium; the Food and Chemical Industries Education and Research Center (CERIA/COOVI), as well as popular department stores. The district is crossed by the last end of the Chaussée de Mons/Bergensesteenweg in Brussels, and is bounded to the east by the Brussels–Charleroi Canal and to the south by the Flemish municipality of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, in the Pajottenland. It is served by the metro stations Bizet, La Roue/Het Rad and CERIA/COOVI on line 5.

Bizet is a Brussels metro station on the western branch of line 5. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels, Belgium. It received its name from the Place Bizet/Bizetplein, the city square aboveground, which had been named after the French classical music composer Georges Bizet. The metro station opened on 10 January 1992, and until 2003, it was the western terminus of former east–west line 1B. On 15 September 2003, a further extension from Bizet westwards to Erasme/Erasmus was opened. Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by line 5.

The Battle of Anderlecht, sometimes referred to as the Fight of Anderlecht, took place in Anderlecht near Brussels in Belgium between the Habsburg monarchy and the French Republic on 13 November 1792, during the first year of the French Revolutionary Wars.

Veeweyde (French, old Dutch spelling) or Veeweide (modern Dutch) is a Brussels metro station on the western branch of line 5. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels (Belgium). It takes its name from the nearby Rue de Veeweyde/Veeweidestraat. The station opened on 5 July 1985 and was the western terminus of former line 1B, until the opening of an extension to Bizet in 1992 (further extended in 2003 to Erasme/Erasmus). Following the reorganisation of the Brussels metro on 4 April 2009, it is served by line 5.
