Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani Law College (GJALC) is a law school in Mumbai, India. It has been listed among the most preferred Law Colleges in the West Zone of India. It is considered to be a top college for legal studies in Mumbai. GJALC was established in 1977 by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board (HSNC). It was established as an affiliated college to the University of Mumbai and recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi, for teaching a 3-year degree course in law (LL.B.). The alumni of the college hold prestigious positions in the field of law.

Khar (Marathi pronunciation: [kʰaːɾ]) is an affluent suburb of Mumbai, north of Bandra and south of Santacruz, Mumbai. Originally one of the 'villages' that made up the larger Bandra, the present suburb is divided into Khar West and Khar East areas. It is serviced by Khar Road railway station of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. It is an area within convenient distances of several schools, restaurants, parks, promenades and shopping centres. Khar, which is derived from the word Khāra (meaning 'salty' in the local language Marathi) has acquired this name in reference to the salt pans that were used to farm salt by locals near the Khar Danda sea shore a couple of centuries ago. Here, one also finds the historic fishing village of "Khar Danda", which is one of the villages that made up the original Bandra area and is also one of the oldest settlements of Mumbai.

P.D. Hinduja Hospital is a multi-specialty, tertiary-care boutique hospital located in Khar, Mumbai, India, owned and operated by London-based Hinduja Group through Hinduja Healthcare Limited, which also operates Hinduja Hospital. Its Chief Executive Officer is Dr. Vishal Beri.It has plans to expand its nationwide capacity to 5,000 beds, besides setting up radiology and pathology diagnostic centres, emergency ambulance services and pharmacy retail outlets across India.

Pali Naka is an area in Bandra-Khar. The Pali Hill locality is famous as the residence of several Bollywood film stars. Pali Naka is synonymous with Pali Market - a bustling energetic bazaar at the foot of Pali Hill. It is dotted with several vegetable hawkers selling exotic and regular vegetables, Jude Bakery - an old bread & eggs store which has been around for years, general provisions stores, wine shops, furniture stores, key makers and chemists. There is also a small police station at Pali Naka. This part of Mumbai also draws a lot of expatriates and the stores at Pali Naka have evolved to meet everybody's food requirements. Little ahead, down the road, there are several restaurants and pubs frequented by the locals and migrant population of Mumbai. The landmark is iconic - with some places like Toto's Garage Pub having cult following.

K B Bhabha Hospital (popularly known as Bhabha Hospital) is a public hospital in Bandra (west) in Mumbai, India. It was established by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. Bhabha Hospital is one of the hospitals in the city where a huge number of accident or disaster victims turn up. It is behind Globus mall, on Waterfield Road, Bandra. During the COVID-19 pandemic in India the hospital ran out of oxygen several times.

Kherwadi was one of the constituencies of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, in India. It was made defunct after constituency map of India was redrawn in 2008.

On 27 October 2024, a stampede occurred at the Bandra Terminus railway station in Mumbai, India. The stampede injured nine people, with two reported to be in critical condition. The incident occurred as a crowd of passengers surged towards Bandra-Gorakhpur express train, resulting in overcrowding and a panic-driven stampede on the platform.

Bandra Talao locally referred to as Swami Vivekanand Talao is a small lake located in Bandra, Mumbai. The lake was formerly known as Lotus Tank and is a Grade II heritage structure. The lake was also called "Motha Sarovar" and was constructed by a rich Konkani Muslim of Navpada (also spelt Naupada or Naopara), an adjoining village. It is spread across 7.5 acres.The maintenance of the lake was later turned over to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and renamed Swami Vivekanand Sarovar. Paddle boating facilities and pisciculture activities were operational in this lake during the 1990s. It is 200 years old.

Kherwadi is a middle class, developing neighborhood, situated on the eastern side of Bandra railway station, Mumbai. Its name is derived from the first chief minister of Bombay State, B. G. Kher. It is surrounded by the CBD of BKC to the east, Mahim to the south, Khar to the north and S.V. Road to the west. It is well connected to all the parts of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane. Western Expressway passes through Kherwadi junction, a signal intersection situated in Kherwadi. It was first developed by MHADA, with 35 buildings with each building having 56 flats, with each flat being a 1 Room Kitchen, presently being redeveloped into highrises by private builders. It also consists of the affluent upper-middle-class neighborhood of New MIG Colony consisting of 14 Buildings, Having 2 BHK flat system. The Naupada or Behrampada slums are situated behind the New MIG Colony.
