Rahway High School

The Rahway Cemetery is located along the banks of the Rahway River in Rahway, New Jersey, U.S. Earlier, the land is thought to be owned by the Frazee family with the first burial in 1724 of John Frazee. This land for the cemetery was later acquired by the First Presbyterian Cemetery, which was established circa 1741–1742. It is adjacent to Merchants' and Drovers' Tavern and the Rahway River Parkway.

The Merchants' and Drovers' Tavern is a historic tavern located in Rahway, Union County, New Jersey, United States. The tavern was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 21, 1978. The exact construction dates of the building have been the source of some historical debate. An analysis of samples of the building’s wooden frame conducted by Columbia University’s Lamont Dougherty Earth Sciences Observatory found that there were two distinct periods of construction – one in 1795–1796, then another in 1818–1819. The claim that the building did not exist until 1795 at the earliest is further supported by the fact that the first innkeeper, John Anderson, did not receive a tavern license until 1798, after the initial period of construction. It only began operation as a hotel around 1825, after the recent addition turned the two and a half story building into a three and a half story one. In the 1960s, the Rahway Historical Society formed and saved the historic building from destruction by purchasing it and transforming it into the center for historical interpretation that it is today. The Museum is presently looked after by The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum Association. Throughout most of the 2000s, the Tavern underwent significant restoration efforts. In September 2021, the Museum announced on its website that the second phase of the Restoring Our Legacy Campaign has been completed and Phase III is underway. Phase II saw the restoration of the second, third, and fourth floors of the building as well as the front facade.The tavern is adjacent to the Rahway Cemetery. The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum Association (MDTMA) runs historic tours and talks, including on the Victorian-era murder known as The Unknown Woman or Rahway Jane Doe. In 2017, the cast of the hit paranormal reality series Ghost Hunters held a fundraiser for the museum.

The Rahway Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Rahway, in Union County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of six schools, had an enrollment of 4,056 students and 325.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Rahway () is a city in southern Union County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The city is 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Manhattan and 5 miles (8.0 km) west of Staten Island. Rahway Township was a township in New Jersey, United States, that existed from 1804 until it was dissolved in 1861. Rahway was formed as an township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 27, 1804, from portions of Elizabeth Township and Westfield Township while the area was still part of Essex County, New Jersey. On March 19, 1857, it became part of the newly created Union County. The City of Rahway was incorporated on 19 of April, 1858, from portions of Rahway Township in Union and Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County. Portions of the township, along with territory from Elizabeth and Union Township, were taken on March 4, 1861, to form Linden Township. The township was dissolved on March 13, 1861, when the remaining portions of the township were annexed by the City of Rahway..

Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC), formerly the Rahway Theatre, is a non-profit performance venue in Rahway, New Jersey, a small city west of Staten Island that was recently named "#2 Best Small Town Arts Scene" in the country by USA Today. As of the early 2020s, downtown Rahway has become a regional hub in the performing and visual arts. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. UCPAC is the site of the annual Rahway International Film Festival.

The Robinson Plantation House is a historic house in Clark, New Jersey built around 1690 on territory that was part of the Elizabethtown Tract, and was once part of Rahway. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 as Seventeenth Century Clark House. The owner of the house, Dr. William Robinson, was the first official landowner in Clark, NJ. He was one of only a few physicians in New Jersey at the time, and built a medicine room in the house to practice "Physick," a then-popular form of healing using plants and herbs. Rahway station is an NJ Transit train station in Rahway, New Jersey that is located 20.7 miles southwest of New York Penn Station, with service on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast lines.

Mother Seton Regional High School (often referred to as Mother Seton) is an all-girl Catholic high school located in Clark, in Union County, New Jersey, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1971. The school is staffed by the Sisters of Charity of Convent Station, New Jersey, and lay faculty members. The school occupies a two-level building located on a campus of 27 acres (110,000 m2).As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 233 students and 34.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.7:1. The school's student body was 42.5% (99) White, 21.5% (50) Asian, 14.2% (33) Black, 12.4% (29) Hispanic and 9.4% (22) two or more races.

Robinsons Branch is a tributary of the Rahway River in Union and Middlesex Counties, New Jersey, United States.The headwaters of Robinsons Branch are in Fanwood, Plainfield and Edison, New Jersey. It flows through Scotch Plains, Westfield, Clark, and Rahway, emptying into the Rahway River approximately five miles above the Arthur Kill. The drainage area is 21.6 square miles, mainly in Union County. The river is impounded at Robinson's Branch Reservoir and Milton Lake, and tidal to Milton Lake Dam. At the confluence of Pumpkin Patch Brook with Robinsons Branch flooding is a frequent problem, exacerbated by densely developed land. Flooding is both fluvial and tidal.

The Rahway River Bridge is a rail bridge over the Rahway River, in Rahway, Union County, New Jersey, U.S., a few blocks north of Rahway station, on the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The arch bridge was built circa 1915 by the Pennsylvania Railroad at the time it was widening and elevating the tracks on a viaduct on its mainline through New Jersey, a project that had been initiated in 1901.The bridge carries the NEC and is located at MP 19.13 of the New York Division. It is used by Amtrak, including Northeast Regional and Keystone Service, and New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor Line and North Jersey Coast Line, which junction near Union Tower to the south. The bridge was documented by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1977. It is part of the unlisted Pennsylvania Railroad New York to Philadelphia Historic District (ID#4568), designated in 2002 by the New Jersey State Historic Preservation Office.
