The Polish–Czech Friendship Trail (Czech: Cesta česko-polského přátelství, Polish: Droga Przyjaźni Polsko-Czeskiej) is a public walking path in the Giant Mountains. The path runs on both sides of the Czech–Polish border, along the main ridge and crosses or traverses all its summits. The maintenance of the trail is performed by the staff of both adjacent national parks: the Polish Karkonosze National Park and the Czech Krkonoše National Park. The trail is marked red and the signs mostly bilingual. The start point is located on Szrenica and the end in the Okraj pass / Pomezní boudy; the length of the trail is approx. 30 km; the level of difficulty is moderate. The trail partially overlaps with ski trails.

St. Lawrence's Chapel (Polish: Kaplica św. Wawrzyńca; Czech: Kaple Sv. Vavřince; German: Laurentius Kapelle) – a Roman Catholic chapel located on the peak of Śnieżka; in Poland. The chapel is located in south-west of Poland, in the eastern Karkonosze Mountains, on the peak of Śnieżka – the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains, located around 5.3 kilometres west of the centre of Karpacz.

The Western Sudetes (Polish: Sudety Zachodnie; Czech: Krkonošská oblast; German: Westsudeten) are a geomorphological macroregion, the western part of the Sudetes subprovince on the borders of the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany.

Sněžka or Śnieżka (in Czech and Polish respectively; German: Schneekoppe, Slovak: Snežka) is a mountain on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland, the most prominent point of the Silesian Ridge in the Giant Mountains. At 1,603.3 metres (5,260 ft), its summit is the highest point in the Czech Republic, in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Giant Mountains and in the entire Sudetes.

Studniční hora or Studničná hora (German: Brunnberg) is a cumulus mountain in the Giant Mountains in the Czech Republic. With an altitude of 1,555 m (5,102 ft), it is the third-highest peak of the mountain range and the entire country.

Równia pod Śnieżką (1,350–1,450 m a.s.l.) is a subalpine plateau in the Krkonoše mountains west from the peak of Sněžka. Its area is ca. 9 km2, mostly covered in bogs and marshes and clumps of Mountain Pine. Both from Polish and Czech side the plateau is limited by glacial cirques.

The Tadeusz Hołdys High-Mountain Meteorological Observatory on Śnieżka (previously used name: Tadeusz Hołdys High-Mountain Observatory on Śnieżka) - an institution of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, located on Śnieżka - the highest summit of the Karkonosze and the whole Sudetes, at an altitude of 1602 m. Since 1985 the observatory has been named after Tadeusz Hołdys.

The Úpské rašelinistě (lit. 'Úpa peat bogs') is a peat bog in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It is the largest peat bog in the Giant Mountains.

Pec pod Sněžkou (Czech pronunciation: [ˈpɛts ˈpotsɲɛʃkou]; German: Petzer, Polish: Pec pod Śnieżką) is a town in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants. The town lies in the Giant Mountains at the base of the highest Czech mountain, Sněžka. From the town a two-section cable car system leads to the top of Sněžka. The ski resort at Pec pod Sněžkou is one of the best-known mountain resorts in the country.

Luční bouda (lit. 'Meadow hut'; German: Wiesenbaude) is a mountain hotel in the Giant Mountains in the Czech Republic. The Luční bouda, which has existed in various forms since the 17th century, is the oldest mountain hut on the Giant Mountains ridges and one of the largest in Europe. The current structure, built between 1939 and 1940, covers 5,600 m², though it has undergone several reconstructions since.

Mały Staw (1,183 m (3,881 ft), Polish for The Small Pond, Kleiner Teich in german) is a natural lake of glacial origin in the Krkonoše mountains in western Poland. It is situated in the Polish Karkonosze National Park at the bottom of the cirque, on the southern slope of the Smogornia mountain, 1 km south of Wielki Staw.With its area of 2.8 hectares, it is the second biggest glacial lake in the whole range. Its depth reaches 7 m. The place is accessible from the Polish-Czech Friendship Trail (red marks) and a blue marked short distance trail from Równia pod Śnieżką. A mountain hut Samotnia is situated on the north shore.

Luční hora (Polish: Łączna Góra, German: Hochwiesenberg, literally Meadow Mountain), is the cumulonimbus mountain located in the Krkonoše mountains about 5.5 km northwest of the town Pec pod Sněžkou and 4 km east of the town Špindlerův Mlýn to which cadastral belongs. It is the second highest mountain in the Czech Republic and the highest peak of the Bohemian ridge. The mountain peak is a plain, flat and relatively large. To the north and west side of the mountain occurs avalanche slopes. The mountain is located in Zone I of Krkonoše National Park. Geologically, the mountain is formed of schist, shaped into clusters, intersected by quartzite. In the Czech Republic it is a unique example of cruised and polygonal soils. There can also be found cryoplanatial terraces and stone seas.
