Ealing Village

Ealing Cricket Club Ground, also known as Corfton Road, is a cricket ground in Ealing, West London. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1874, when Ealing Cricket Club played MCC. The ground, which was formerly in Middlesex, was the venue for over 50 Middlesex Second XI fixtures between 1935 and 2011 and was used by Middlesex Cricket Board for one match in 2002.In 1973, the ground held its first Women's One Day International when Jamaica played Trinidad and Tobago in the 1973 Women's Cricket World Cup. Two further Women's ODIs were held on the ground during the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup, with India playing New Zealand and England played the Netherlands.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the main home venue of Ealing Cricket Club who play in the Middlesex County Cricket League. It is located 500 metres (550 yd) north-east of Ealing Broadway railway station at the heart of an area of late-Victorian villa-style houses built around the ground in the Arts and Crafts style during the 1880s and 1890s.

Ealing () is a district in West London, England. It is 7.5 miles (12.1 km) west of Charing Cross. In the London Borough of Ealing, it is one of the borough's seven major towns (alongside Acton, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall). Ealing, resembling the W5, W13 and NW10 post codes is the administrative centre of the borough. It is identified as a major metropolitan centre in the London Plan.Ealing is in the historic county of Middlesex. By 1902 Ealing had become known as the "Queen of the Suburbs" due to its greenery, and because it was halfway between city and country.As part of the growth of London in the 20th century, Ealing significantly expanded and increased in population. It became a municipal borough in May 1901 and has formed part of Greater London since December 1965. It is now a significant commercial and retail centre with a developed night-time economy. Ealing has the characteristics of both leafy suburban and inner-city development. The Pitshanger neighbourhood and some others retain the lower density, greenery and architecture of suburban villages. Ealing's town centre is often referred to as Ealing Broadway, the name of both a railway interchange and a shopping centre. Most of Ealing, including the commercial district, South Ealing, Ealing Common, Montpelier, Pitshanger and most of Hanger Hill fall under the W5 postcode. Areas to the north-west of the town centre such as Argyle Road and West Ealing fall under W13 instead. A small section north-east of the town centre, near Hanger Hill, falls under the NW10 postcode area. The population of Ealing (including Northfields) was 85,014 in the 2011 census.

Hanger Lane is a major road in Ealing, London, England. The majority of the road forms the westernmost part of the A406 North Circular Road, running north from the A4020 Uxbridge Road at Ealing Common to the A40 Western Avenue at the Hanger Lane gyratory. This complex and busy junction incorporates Hanger Lane Underground station on the Central line of the London Underground. North of the gyratory, Hanger Lane continues along the A4005 to Vicar's Bridge and the border with Alperton in the London Borough of Brent. The road takes its name from Hanger Hill, which is also the name of the surrounding area. The name comes from the Old English word hangra, meaning a wooded slope.

North Ealing is a London Underground station on the Uxbridge branch of the Piccadilly line between Ealing Common and Park Royal. The station is located on Station Road, a short distance from the junction of Queen's Drive and Hanger Lane (A406, North Circular Road). It is in Travelcard Zone 3. West Acton station on the Central line is located about 550 metres to the east at the other end of Queen's Drive. Despite its name, the station is geographically located to the east of Ealing Broadway; the areas of Gurnell, Pitshanger, Montpelier and Hanger Hill/Hanger Lane are more geographically suited to the term "North Ealing". There is even a primary school named North Ealing within Pitshanger.

The Old Town Hall is a former municipal building in the Mall in Ealing, London. The building, which is currently used as a branch of National Westminster Bank, is a Grade II listed building.

Ealing Broadway is a major single-level interchange station in Ealing in London, England. It is in the London Borough of Ealing, West London, and is served by the London Underground and also National Rail on the Great Western Main Line. On the Underground, it is one of three western termini of the District line, the next station being Ealing Common, and it is also one of two western termini of the Central line, the next station being West Acton. On the National Rail network, it is a through-station on the Great Western Main Line, 5 miles 56 chains (9.2 km) down the line from London Paddington, between Acton Main Line and West Ealing. The station is managed by TfL Rail and is served by Great Western Railway and TfL Rail services. As of 2020, the station is being upgraded and expanded as part of the Crossrail project, with a rebuilt ticket hall and the provision of step free access.

The 2001 Ealing bombing was an attack on in Ealing Broadway, West London, England by the Real Irish Republican Army (RIRA), a splinter group of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA), that participated in the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

The Ealing Jazz Club was a music venue on The Broadway, Ealing, in the west of London. Opened in January 1959, it became London's first regular R&B venue with a performance by the influential Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies band Blues Incorporated.

St Augustine's Priory School, is an independent Catholic girls' school in the London Borough of Ealing, England. It was founded and staffed by nuns from the priory, though the school has been run by a lay head since 1996. The school consists of Nursery (3-4) Prep (4–7 years), Junior (7-11) and Senior (11-18) departments and welcomes girls of all faiths. In 2014, it was in the top three best performing GCSE schools in Ealing.
