Bellbowrie is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census Bellbowrie had a population of 5,462 people.Bellbowrie is on the northern side of the Brisbane River and lies 17 kilometres (11 mi) west-southwest of Brisbane's central area. It is a rapidly developing semi-rural area due to Brisbane's growth heading in a westwards direction.

Redbank railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Ipswich suburb of Redbank. Redbank station is beside the large Redbank Railway Workshops, where most of Aurizon's diesel locomotives are repaired and maintained, and where all wagons are made and repaired. The workshops also repair and overhaul City network electric multiple units. Near the station are coal train wagon storage roads used for the Jondaryan and McCallister coal mines, west of Toowoomba. In May 2012, three stabling sidings were opened to the west of the station.

The Bremer River is a river that is a tributary of the Brisbane River, located in the Scenic Rim and Brisbane regions of South East Queensland, Australia. The 100-kilometre (62 mi)-long Bremer River drains several Scenic Rim valleys in south-east Queensland, including the Fassifern Valley, with its catchment area covering approximately 2,032 square kilometres (785 sq mi). Most valleys within the catchment have extensive river terraces. The Bremer River system is extremely degraded. European explorers John Oxley and Allan Cunningham visited the river in 1824 and it was first named by Oxley as Bremer's Creek presumably after Captain James Gordon Bremer who was in charge of HMS Tamar, at that time performing duties in the waters of the colony of New South Wales.

Wolston House is a heritage-listed museum and former homestead at 223 Grindle Road, Wacol, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1852 to 1860s. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. It is now a historic house museum operated by the National Trust of Queensland.

The Moggill Ferry is a cable ferry crossing the Brisbane River between the suburbs of Moggill in Brisbane and Riverview in Ipswich, both in Queensland, Australia. The iconic ferry is owned by Stradbroke Ferries and can carry up to 20 vehicles per crossing. During floods the ferry is often out of service and alternative routes need to be taken by motorists. The ferry is guided across the river by a steel cable which can sometimes lead to boating accidents for the unwary.

Wolston Correctional Centre is an Australian high-security prison facility in Wacol, Queensland, Australia. Wolston is a 'protection' prison, and as such houses many paedophiles, sex offenders and high-profile prisoners. In addition to those classes of prisoner mentioned above, the majority of prisoners at Wolston Correctional Centre are non-sex-offender prisoners, who have been transferred to the protection prison from other mainstream prisons because they have provided information to prison authorities about fellow inmates and their safety has been threatened. These types of prisoners are known as "informers", or more colloquially in prison slang as "dogs". Like most Queensland prisons, Wolston Correctional Centre is severely overcrowded, with some cells designed for a single prisoner accommodating two or more prisoners. This is often achieved by requiring one or more of the prisoners to sleep on the floor. Such overcrowding has led to a dramatic increase in violent assaults as such cramped living conditions increases psychological stress and discomfort of inmates. It is also often the prison guards who become the victims of such assaults, as reported in a 2018 ABC News article.

Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre is an Australian prison, located at Wacol, Brisbane. It was commissioned on 28 May 1999. Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre replaced the old Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre, located at Wacol. The centre has a capacity of 264 cells and is divided into two accommodation areas of 122 secure cells and 142 residential cells. The centre is the only reception, assessment and placement centre for female offenders in southern Queensland. The centre accommodates female mainstream and protection prisoners and at times immigration detainees. A purpose-built area accommodates up to eight women who are approved to have their children reside with them whilst in custody. In support of the accommodation of children within the facility and the role of women as primary carers, the centre facilitates a number of programs, activities, events and services related to women and children. The centre has a structured daily program consisting of industry, education and vocational training programs that provide opportunities to address offending behaviour, and a comprehensive range of activities designed to enhance personal development and self esteem.

Riverview railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Ipswich suburb of Riverview. It opened in 1875 at the same time the line opened.

The Park Centre for Mental Health is a heritage-listed psychiatric hospital at 60 Grindle Road, Wacol, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in Australia. The hospital provides a range of mental health services, including extended inpatient care, mental health research, education and a high security psychiatric unit. It was designed by Kersey Cannan and built from 1866 to 1923. It is also known as Goodna Hospital for the Insane, Goodna Mental Hospital, Woogaroo Lunatic Asylum, and Wolston Park Hospital Complex. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.The Wolston Park Hospital Complex, opened in 1865, occupies a 450-hectare (1,100-acre) site on the banks of the Brisbane River at Wacol and encompasses a number of mental health facilities and ancillary services operated by the Queensland government since inception of the asylum.The hospital employs around 450 people, including 220 nurses and 20 doctors. There are also another 80 allied health staff, and 50 administration personnel. In addition there are 70 support staff, including maintenance, groundskeeping, security and laundry staff.

Riverview is a suburb of Ipswich in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Riverview had a population of 3,073 people and an unemployment rate of 15.7%, compared to the Australian unemployment rate of 6.9%.
