The Béla Bartók Music Institute (Hungarian: Bartók Béla Zeneművészeti Szakközépiskola) is a college of the University of Miskolc in Miskolc, Hungary, specializing in music education. Founded in 1966, it is named for Béla Bartók, the Hungarian composer. Located in Bartók Square, the school resides in the Palace of Music, a neo-baroque building completed between 1926 and 1927.

Opera is a station of the yellow M1 (Millennium Underground) line of the Budapest Metro, in front of the Hungarian State Opera House. The station was opened on 2 May 1896 as part of the inaugural section of the Budapest Metro, between Vörösmarty tér and Széchenyi fürdő. This section, known as the Millennium Underground Railway, was the first mostro system in continental Europe. In 2002, it was included into the World Heritage Site "Budapest, including the Banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter and Andrássy Avenue".

The Hungarian State Opera House (Hungarian: Magyar Állami Operaház) is a neo-Renaissance opera house located in central Budapest, on Andrássy út. Originally known as the Hungarian Royal Opera House, it was designed by Miklós Ybl, a major figure of 19th-century Hungarian architecture. Construction began in 1875, funded by the city of Budapest and by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary, and the new house opened to the public on the 27 September 1884. Before the closure of the "Népszínház" in Budapest, it was the third largest opera building in the city; today it is the second largest opera house in Budapest and in Hungary. Touring groups had performed operas in the city from the early 19th century, but as Legány notes, "a new epoch began after 1835 when part of the Kasa National Opera and Theatrical Troupe arrived in Buda". They took over the Castle Theatre and, in 1835, were joined by another part of the troupe, after which performances of operas were given under conductor Ferenc Erkel. By 1837 they had established themselves at the Magyar Színház (Hungarian Theatre) and by 1840, it had become the "Nemzeti Színház" (National Theatre). Upon its completion, the opera section moved into the Hungarian Royal Opera House, with performances quickly gaining a reputation for excellence in a repertory of about 45 to 50 operas and about 130 annual performances. Today, the opera house is home to the Budapest Opera Ball, a society event dating back to 1886.

The Klauzál tér (or Klauzal Square) was the largest square in the former Jewish quarter of Budapest, Hungary. Located in the seventh district, it was the heart of the city's old Jewish quarter. Nowadays, this area is also known as the party district in Hungarian bulinegyed, because of its many pubs nearby.

The Franz Liszt Academy of Music (Hungarian: Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem, often abbreviated as Zeneakadémia, "Liszt Academy") is a music university and a concert hall in Budapest, Hungary, founded on November 14, 1875. It is home to the Liszt Collection, which features several valuable books and manuscripts donated by Franz Liszt upon his death, and the AVISO studio, a collaboration between the governments of Hungary and Japan to provide sound recording equipment and training for students. The Franz Liszt Academy of Music was founded by Franz Liszt himself (though named after its founder only in 1925, about 50 years after it was relocated to its current location at the heart of Budapest).

Oktogon is one of Pest's major intersections, located at the junction of the Grand Boulevard (Nagykörút) and Andrássy Avenue (Andrássy út) in Budapest, Hungary. This junction, one of the city's most important, is named for its octagonal shape.Oktogon is also a station on the yellow M1 (Millennium Underground) line of the Budapest Metro, which runs underneath Andrássy Avenue to Heroes' Square (Hősök tere).

The Klauzál Square Market Hall or Market Hall III (formerly István Square Market Hall) is one of the great Budapest market halls built under the monarchy. VII. district located in Klauzál Square, built in 1897 III. Market Hall. Its designers were the architects of the Budapest engineering office, József Kommer and Pál Klunzinger. In connection with the market hall, an apartment building was also built on Klauzál Square, which made it possible to rent outlets at lower prices. The number of contemporary sales outlets was over 300. Interestingly, Kosher food was available in a separate space in the hall, being in the Jewish Quarter. The building, which became dilapidated in the second half of the 20th century, was renovated in 2014-2015, taking into account its original state and modern needs.

Kazinczy Street Synagogue is an Art Nouveau orthodox synagogue built between 1912 and 1913 Budapest VII. district, 29-31 Kazinczy Street number. It is one of the most characteristic works of Hungarian synagogue architecture before the First World War.

The 2016 Budapest bombing occurred on 24 September when a young man detonated a nail bomb to kill two patrolling police officers. A policeman and a policewoman (the latter, coincidentally, the poster face of the Hungarian police's recruiting campaign) suffered injuries but survived the attack. After the incident the police chief in charge announced a full-scale investigation and promised to give 10 million HUF to the ones who reported the perpetrator. According to Zsolt Molnár, the chairman of the National Security Commission of the Hungarian Parliament, the attack unlikely had anything to do with other terror-related incidents in Europe in 2016.

The Budapest Ghetto was a Nazi ghetto set up in Budapest, Hungary, where Jews were forced to relocate by a decree of the Government of National Unity led by the fascist Arrow Cross Party during the final stages of World War II. The ghetto existed from November 29, 1944, to January 17, 1945.

The Rumbach Street synagogue (Hungarian: Rumbach utcai zsinagóga) is located in Belváros, the inner city of the historical old town of Pest, in the eastern section of Budapest. The synagogue in Rumbach Street was built in 1872 to the design of the Viennese architect Otto Wagner. Intentionally meant to serve the members of the Neológ community of Pest, its construction coincided with the Schism in Hungarian Jewry of 1869, and it became the home of the more conservative Status Quo faction. The Moorish Revival synagogue has eight sides and has recently been restored with a grant from the Budapest Government. The octagonal, balconied, domed synagogue intricately patterned and painted in Islamic style is exquisitely beautiful. It was built not as an exact replica of, but as an homage to the style of the octagonal, domed Dome of the Rock shrine in Jerusalem. Historically, but especially since the completion of its renovation in the summer of 2021, the synagogue regularly hosts plays, concerts, photo exhibits and other cultural events.The Rabbi of the Rumbach Street synagogue was Rabbi Shloime Boruch Schmalhausen until the Holocaust and deportation of the Jews of Budapest.
