Rhode Island Country Club

The CVS Health Charity Classic is a professional golf tournament. It is contested annually as a one-day, three-person team event. Each team is made up of one player from each of three Tours: PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, and LPGA Tour. The top two scores at each hole for the team count towards the team's final score. It is held at Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, Rhode Island. It is an unofficial event on the PGA Tour and was first played in 1999. The original format was a two-man team event, involving players solely from the PGA Tour. However, since 2017, it has become a three-person team event, with players from PGA Tour Champions and LPGA Tour joining up with a PGA Tour player to form each team. Rhode Island natives Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade serve as hosts.

The Benjamin Aborn Jackson House is an historic house at 115 Nayatt Road in Barrington, Rhode Island. The 2+1⁄2-story brick house was designed by architect Norman M. Isham and completed in 1913 for Benjamin Aborn Jackson, a Rhode Island banking and railroad executive. The house is a rare survivor of the development of Nayatt Point as a resort area. The L-shaped building is set well back from Nayatt Road, and is not far from the Nayatt Point Light.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Nayatt Point Light is a historic lighthouse in Barrington, Rhode Island. The current light was built of brick in 1856 and contains an 1828 keeper's house. The lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Alfred Drowne Road Historic District of Barrington, Rhode Island, encompasses a suburban area developed between about 1860 and 1910, a period of significant suburban growth in Barrington spurred by the connection of the town by rail to Providence in 1855. This 27-acre (11 ha) residential area was before that time farmland owned by Alfred Drown, whose c. 1830 farmhouse still stands at 13 Alfred Drowne Road. The house of his son Benjamin, built c. 1856, is at number 27. The district includes properties along Alfred Drowne Road, as well as a few properties on Washington Street and Annawamscutt Road which are immediately adjacent. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

St. Matthew's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at 5 Chapel Road in Barrington, Rhode Island. It is an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island. The congregation began as a mission in 1880, and was established as a parish in 1883, under the guidance of Rev. William Merrick Chapin. The church building was designed by William R. Walker & Son, and built in 1891. It is an eclectic mix of Queen Anne and Gothic Revival style. The attached parish hall was built in 1893. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Barrington is a suburban, residential town in Bristol County, Rhode Island, United States, located approximately 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Providence. It was founded by Congregationalist separatists from Swansea, Massachusetts, and incorporated in 1717.Barrington was ceded from Massachusetts to Rhode Island and merged into Warren in 1747, and in 1770 made into a separate town by the Rhode Island legislature. It was a sparsely developed, agricultural community until the arrival of brickmaking companies in the 1850s, which employed large numbers of French-Canadians and Italians. The construction of a railroad to Providence in 1855 further contributed to suburban development, attracting residents of neighboring urban areas and contributing to the development of manufacturing industries. The post-World War II baby boom increased suburbanization trends, resulting in a large population increase. Schools were constructed throughout the 1950s to accommodate this population. Three Barrington schools are National Blue Ribbon Schools, and its high school was at its highest, ranked No. 189 in the United States by Newsweek in 2019. Money noted the appeal of Barrington's high test scores and relative affordability, naming it one of the best places to live in the United States. Historical sites provide examples of architectural and suburban development during various stages of the town's history, including the Allen-West House, Barrington Civic Center Historic District, and O'Bannon Mill. Nine sites in Barrington are listed under the National Register of Historic Places. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 17,153.

Barrington High School (formerly known as West Barrington Senior High School) is a public high school located in Barrington, a town in Bristol County, Rhode Island. Barrington High School is the only high school of the Barrington Public Schools district, enrolling 1028 students in grades 9-12. Barrington High School's school colors are blue and gold, and its mascot is the Eagle. During the early 1950s, Barrington's population began to grow as a result of the increasing availability of the automobile and the baby boom. Barrington High School was the first of many public schools constructed during this period to accommodate the now larger populace. Barrington High School has been noted for academic success; U.S. News & World Report ranks Barrington as the third best high school in Rhode Island. In its 2014 list of "America's Top High Schools", Newsweek ranked Barrington High School as No. 200 out of an analysis of 500 schools across the United States. Beginning in 2017, the school began implementing a "de-leveling" program which removed advanced courses and ultimately all honors programs. Thereafter, the school's academic rating dropped precipitously in the U.S. News & World Report, to #308 in 2022. As a result of parents' pushback against this, the school reversed course and said honors programs will be reinstated in the 2022-2023 school year.

St. Andrew's School (founded in 1893) is a nondenominational boarding and day school located on a 100-acre (0.40 km2) campus in Barrington, Rhode Island, serving co-educational grades 6-12 and postgraduate (PG).

The Providence River is a tidal river in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It flows approximately 8 miles (13 km). There are no dams along the river's length, although the Fox Point Hurricane Barrier is located south of downtown to protect the city of Providence from damaging tidal floods. The southern part of the river has been dredged at a cost of $65 million in federal and state funds to benefit nearby marinas and commercial shipping interests. The Dutch called the Providence River the Nassau River. It was the northeastern limit of Dutch claims in the colonial era, owing to Adriaen Block's exploration of Narragansett Bay, from 1614 until the Hartford Treaty of 1650. It can, therefore, be regarded as the original boundary between the English New England colonies and the Dutch colony of New Netherland.

Conimicut Light, built in 1883, is a historic sparkplug lighthouse in Warwick, Rhode Island. The lighthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The lighthouse is said to be in "relatively good condition."The lighthouse was built in 1883 using pneumatic caisson engineering. The light replaced an earlier 1868 light. Conimicut Lighthouse was automated in the 1960s and was one of the last acetylene gas powered lights to switch to electricity. The City of Warwick acquired the light in 2004. Initially the city planned to restore the lighthouse, but a federal grant for this purpose failed to come through. Subsequently, the city is considering various plans, including leasing it to a tourism company to be converted into a bed-and-breakfast inn.This location marks the mouth of the Providence River as it empties into Narragansett Bay.

O'Bannon Mill (also known as O'Bannon Corporation Leather Division, or Collins & Aikman Mill) is an historical mill at 90 Bay Spring Avenue in Barrington, Rhode Island. It was one of the first places where artificial leather (using pyroxylin) was manufactured on a large scale.

Barrington Beach is a beach located in Barrington, Rhode Island, United States. It has 4 acres (1.6 ha) of beachfront overlooking Narragansett Bay. The length of the shore is 700 feet (210 m). It is located in the East Bay region of Rhode Island. The beach went under massive construction in 2011, after changing the design and water supply because of Providence dumping their waste and sewage into the waters of the bay. The construction ended in May 2014.
