Dade Christian School

Country Club is a census-designated place and a suburban unincorporated community located in northwest Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is located in the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The CDP is named after the Country Club of Miami, which was established in 1961 in what was then an unpopulated and undeveloped section of the county. The population was 49,967 at the 2020 census, up from 3,408 in 1990.

The American Senior High School, or The American High School, is a high school located in Country Club, unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its principal is Stephen E. Papp. It has been named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Miami Lakes Educational Center (MLEC), is a vocational-technical training center in Miami Lakes, Florida. It is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system and one of only three area vocational-technical training centers. It is one of two schools in Miami-Dade County, providing adult vocational training in conjunction with a full-service high school. This allows students to attend regular academic classes and technical or vocational training programs during the same day on the same campus.

The National Airlines Open Invitational was a professional golf tournament in south Florida on the PGA Tour. It was held in late March in Hialeah at the West Course of the Country Club of Miami in 1969, 1970, and 1971 At the time, it was among the richest events on tour, with a $200,000 purse and a $40,000 winner's share.Gary Player was the final champion in 1971, two strokes ahead of defending champion Lee Trevino, who won the previous year in a playoff over Bob Menne. Player's win was his 75th worldwide. In 1972, it was replaced on the schedule by the Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic in Lauderhill, initially a month earlier in late February. Miami-based National Airlines co-sponsored its second edition in 1973, also won by Trevino, but not after. That tournament ended its affiliation with Gleason after 1980 and continues today as The Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens. The other PGA Tour event in the Miami area was the Doral Open, which began in 1962 and was usually played in early March. It was sponsored by competing carrier Eastern Air Lines, also Miami-based, from 1970 through 1986.

On May 30, 2021, twenty-three people were shot, of whom three were killed, in a mass shooting outside a banquet hall in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. Some of the suspects in the shooting are still at large.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School is a public high school operated by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, located at 7977 West Twelfth Avenue in Hialeah, Florida, United States, on the boundary with the city of Miami Lakes. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,300 students and 95.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 18.1:1. There were 1,278 students (74.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 113 (6.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (IATA: OPF, ICAO: KOPF, FAA LID: OPF) (formerly Opa-locka Airport and Opa-locka Executive Airport until 2014) is a joint civil-military airport located in Miami-Dade County, Florida 11 mi (18 km) north of downtown Miami. Part of the airport is in the city limits of Opa-locka. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 called it a general aviation reliever airport.The FAA-contract control tower is manned from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The airport has four fixed-base operators. It is owned by Miami-Dade County and operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department.The sole remaining military activity at the airport is Coast Guard Air Station Miami, operating from federal property not deeded to the county. It hosts EADS HC-144 Ocean Sentry turboprops; and MH-65 Dolphin helicopters for coastal patrol, deployment aboard medium endurance and high endurance coast guard cutters, and air-sea rescue. Much of CGAS Miami's facilities were built during World War II as part of Naval Air Station Miami. DayJet provided on-demand jet air charter services to 44 airports in 5 states; it filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in 2008. The airport is served by several cargo and charter airlines that use the U.S. customs facility. Maintenance and modification of airliners up to Boeing 747 size is carried out by several aviation firms.

Coast Guard Air Station Miami is an Air Station of the United States Coast Guard located at Opa-locka Executive Airport in Opa-locka, Florida. The station operates the HC-144 Ocean Sentry maritime patrol aircraft and the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter.
