Great Parks Reservoir

The Church of St Mary, in the village of Collaton St Mary in Devon, was built between 1864 and 1866 in memory of Mary Maxwell Hogg, teenaged daughter of the Rev John Roughton Hogg, owner of the nearby Blagdon Barton estate, and granddaughter of hymnwriter and vicar Henry Francis Lyte. It is a Grade II* listed building.

The Beacon Hill transmitting station is an English telecommunications facility located at Beacon Hill, Marldon, Devon. It includes a guyed mast (Beacon Hill A) and a free-standing lattice tower (Beacon Hill B), both of which support various antennas.

Blagdon historically in the parish of Paignton in Devon, England (today in the parish of Collaton St Mary), is an historic manor, the seat of the Kirkham family from the 13th to 17th centuries. The manor house known as Blagdon Manor (House) (or Blagdon Barton) survives as a grade II* listed building about two miles west of the historic centre of the town of Paignton, situated behind the "Blagdon Inn" public house (former stables), and almost surrounded by the "Devon Hills Holiday Park" of caravans and mobile homes, set-back at the end of a short driveway off the A385 Paignton to Totnes road. The settlements or farms of Higher Blagdon, Middle Blagdon and Lower Blagdon are situated to the north of the manor house. In the ancient Church of St John, the parish church of Paignton, survives the Kirkham Chantry Chapel, occupying the south transept, "without a doubt the chief interest of the church", consisting of an elaborately sculped stone screen erected by the Kirkham family of Blagdon, towards the end of the 15th century, with a further 17th century monument.

Paignton Academy (formerly Paignton Community College) is a secondary school with academy status, located in Devon, England. The school welcomed its first non-selective intake into Year 6 in 1492 and first sixth form students in September 1885.

Paignton Zoo is a zoo in Paignton, Devon, England. The zoo is part of South West Environmental Parks Ltd which is owned by the charity Wild Planet Trust, formerly known as the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust. The charity also runs Newquay Zoo in Newquay, Cornwall, and ran Living Coasts in Torquay, Devon until its closure in 2020. The zoo is a registered educational and scientific charity that has a collection of about 2,000 animals representing nearly 300 species, and it also cultivates about 1,600 different species of plant. It currently employs over 100 permanent staff and an additional 120 seasonally.

Wild Planet Trust, formerly known as the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust (WWCT), is a registered charity, set up to run Paignton Zoo after the death of its founder, Herbert Whitley, who established the zoo on his estate at Primley, Paignton in Devon in the 1920s. Wild Planet Trust also owns runs several local nature reserves in Devon, including Slapton Ley. Since 2003 it has owned and operated Newquay Zoo and Living Coasts. The Trust zoos have been recognised for sustainable tourism and was one of the first groups of British zoos to gain an ISO 14001 certificate for its environmental management systems. along with a recent Gold award for GTBS Green Tourism Business Scheme for Newquay Zoo. All three of the Trust zoos works within the BIAZA, EAZA and WAZA zoo networks in Britain, Europe and the World as well as having ex-situ conservation links overseas. Paignton Windmill, also known as Fernicombe Windmill, is a late 18th-century windmill situated on the outskirts of the town of Paignton, Devon, England. It is a Grade II Listed Building, and lies in a partially ruinous state.

Primley House is a large estate house in Paignton, Devon. Built in the 18th century by the Belfield family, it stayed in family hands until the early 20th century when it was sold to the Whitley family. Herbert Whitley spent considerable time and effort growing a collection of animals and plants in the extensive outbuildings of the house, before extending his collection onto estate land on the other side of the Totnes Road. That collection was eventually opened to the public and became Paignton Zoo. On Whitley's death, the house was left to his assistant Gladys Salter, who converted it to a home for the elderly, which it remains to the present day.

Marldon is a village in the South Hams in Devon, United Kingdom, to the north-west of Paignton. It is the most northeasterly Civil Parish in the South Hams and includes the village of Compton with Compton Castle. Beacon Hill transmitting station is on the highest point in the parish.

Occombe Valley Woods is a Local Nature Reserve near Paignton in Devon. It is an ancient woodland owned by Torbay Borough Council, and managed by the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust.

South Devon College is a large sized further education college that provides a wide variety of courses on one of its 9 different campuses within Torbay and the surrounding area. The college is part of The University of Plymouth Colleges network. In December 2017, South Devon College achieved an overall grade 2 - 'Good' - in an inspection by OFSTED. South Devon College was also ranked the Number one Further Education and Tertiary College in England in 2014.
