Sudama Mandir Porbandar

Porbandar railway station (station code: PBR) is a railway station in city of Porbandar in the Indian state of Gujarat. It belongs to the Bhavnagar Division of Western Railways.

Kirti Mandir is a small museum at the birthplace of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in the city of Porbandar, Gujarat, India, memorializing him and his wife, Kasturba Gandhi. The museum displays items used by Gandhi, life size paintings of Kasturba and Gandhiji by Shri Yutt along with some old photographs, and houses a library of books either written by Gandhi or relating to his philosophies. Visitors can also enter Gandhi's ancestral home through the museum. It has been visited by world leaders.

Porbandar Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in the Porbandar District of Gujarat state, India, which was dedicated in 1988. It is the only bird sanctuary in Gujarat that provides legal protection to the birds which nest there. It is small, only covering 9.33 hectares (0.0933 km2). The sanctuary has a lake attracting migratory birds and other birds such as teals, fowls, flamingos, ibis and curlews.

Porbandar district is one of the 33 districts of Gujarat state in western India. The district covers an area of 2,316 km2. It had a population of 5.85,449 of which 48.77% were urban as of the 2011 census. This district was carved out of Junagadh district. It lies on the Kathiawar peninsula. Porbandar city is the administrative headquarters of this district. This district is surrounded by Jamnagar district and Devboomi Dwarka to the north, Junagadh district and Rajkot district to the east and the Arabian Sea to the west and south. As of 2011 it is the second least-populous district of Gujarat (out of 33), after Dang.

Porbandar State was a princely state during the British Raj ruled by Jethwa dynasty. It was one of the few princely states with a coastline.It was a first class Princely State with 13 Gun Salute, standing fourth in rank among the Principalities in the Kathiawar Agency. The capital of state was the harbour town of Porbandar. Some other important towns of this state were Bhanvad, Chhaya, Ranpar, and Shrinagar. Earlier Shrinagar served as the capital of Jethwas, then Ghumli served as the capital, but was lost to the Jadejas, however, architectural heritage built by them still stands at Ghumli.

Porbandar is a city and the headquarters of Porbandar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama. It was the former capital of the Porbandar princely state. Porbandar and Chhaya are the twin cities of each other and both cities are jointly governed by Porbandar–Chhaya Municipal Corporation.

Porbandar is one of the 182 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Gujarat state in India. It is part of Porbandar district. Since December 2022 MLA from Porbandar is Arjun Modhvadia of Bhartiya Janata Party.

INS Sardar Patel is a naval base of the Indian Navy in Porbandar, Gujarat and the Station Headquarters of Naval Station, Porbandar. It provides the logistic support to the Indian Navy units deployed in the Northern Arabian Sea, including along the International Maritime Boundary Line with Pakistan. Along with Naval Air Enclave (NAE) Porbandar, it can support the operations of ships, submarines and aircraft of Western Naval Command.

Porbandar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 26 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Gujarat state in western India.
