Bayview Yacht Club is private, sailing-focused yacht club located in Detroit, Michigan. Bayview is famous for hosting the Port Huron to Mackinac Boat Race as well as a number of other regional and local regattas. Bayview is a member of the Detroit Regional Yacht-racing Association (DRYA).

Riverside is a neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Windsor, Ontario, in Canada. It is best defined by Riverside Drive, a waterfront road which runs parallel to the Detroit River. The western boundary is approximately Westminster Boulevard running easterly to Rendezvous Shores and the Windsor/Tecumseh town line. That town line is formally defined by a drainage ditch to the eastern side of the Rendezvous property. Rendezvous Shores is a recent development on the lands which were a large grass field between a marine basin and the Rendezvous Tavern. The Tavern was approximately 350 metres (1,150 feet) south of the Lake St. Clair shore and the marine basin, while the adjoining properties were a maximum of roughly 250 metres (800 feet); thus, the marine basin jutted out into the southwest corner of Lake St. Clair. Most of the structure was break wall which was later landfilled to the east, and on most marine charts is referred to as Askin's Point. Riverside was a town until it was annexed by Windsor on January 1, 1966. It truly extends all the way to Tecumseh on the eastern side, but the 3 mile (4.8 km) stretch along Riverside Drive of waterfront property and farms would retrospectively be called a hamlet in the city plans.

The Detroit Yacht Club (DYC) is a private yacht club in Detroit, Michigan, located on its own island off of Belle Isle in the Detroit River between the MacArthur Bridge and the DTE generating plant. The DYC clubhouse is a restored 1920s Mediterranean-style villa that is the largest yacht club clubhouse in the United States.DYC is a member of the Detroit Regional Yacht-racing Association (DRYA).

The 1996 ITT Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit was a CART race which happened at the Belle Isle Park. It happened on June 9, 1996. It was the 8th round of the 1996 IndyCar season.

The Windsor Yacht Club (WYC) is a private yacht club in Windsor, Ontario. It is located on the Canadian mainland just south of Peche Island overlooking the Detroit River. The clubhouse overlooks the southern shore of Peche Island and is at the north-end of the Detroit River, which takes water from Lake St. Clair. WYC is a member of the Detroit Regional Yacht-racing Association (DRYA) and the Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA).

The Lakeside Foundry was located in Detroit, Michigan, United States. It still stands, although is no longer in business. It is on Lycaste St. South of Jefferson between Jefferson and Freud between St. Jean and Clairpointe. It opened in the late nineteenth century and was owned and operated by Alexander Russel Keys Sr. In 1920 it increased its capital from $40,000 to 120,000.The Lakeside Foundry had the contract for the manufacturing of the engines for the Ford Model T motor car. However, after a few years, Lakeside Foundry lost this contract when Henry Ford began building his own engines for his vehicles. The Foundry remained in operation for several years and then ceased manufacturing operations. The Keys family held onto the factory and used it for storage for their other economic pursuits.

Davis Aerospace Technical High School at Golightly Career and Tech Center is a senior high school in Detroit, Michigan, in the Golightly Career and Tech Center. A part of Detroit Public Schools, it has an aviation curriculum certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in addition to its standard academic program. The school, named after Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., is one of two Michigan high schools, and one of a few American high schools, to offer such a program.

Riverside Secondary School (RSS) is a public high school that offers programs and classes for grades 9 to 12 in the community of Riverside, in the east end of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In 2018, RSS became an IB World School authorized to offer the Diploma Programme.

The Hudson Motor Car Company made Hudson and other branded automobiles in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., from 1909 until 1954. In 1954, Hudson merged with Nash-Kelvinator to form American Motors Corporation (AMC). The Hudson name was continued through the 1957 model year, after which it was discontinued.

The Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory (commonly and locally known as the Belle Isle Conservatory) is a greenhouse and a botanical garden located on Belle Isle, a 982-acre (397-hectare) island park located on the Detroit River within Detroit, Michigan. While located near the Canada–United States border, the island is entirely within the U.S. The park itself consists of 13 acres (5.3 hectares) of preserved land for the conservatory and its botanical garden.Opened in 1904, the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory is the oldest continually-running conservatory in the United States. It is named for Anna Scripps Whitcomb, who left her collection of 600 orchids to Detroit in 1955.

Pathways Academy is a charter school in Detroit, Michigan for students who are pregnant or new mothers. It is operated by Innovative Educational Programs, a company based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Pathways Academy opened after Catherine Ferguson Academy, another Detroit school serving students who are pregnant or new mothers, closed. In 2018, Pathways Academy was identified by the Michigan Department of Education as a low-performing school.

The Vanity Ballroom Building is a public building located at 1024 Newport Street (at Jefferson Avenue in the Jefferson-Chalmers Historic Business District) in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Although the building is recorded as the last intact ballroom of the multiple Detroit dance halls that hosted big bands in the 1930s–50s, such claims ignore the abandoned yet still standing Grande Ballroom on Grand River Avenue.
