Teutonic Castle in Świecie (Polish: Zamek krzyżacki w Świeciu) is a partial ruin located in Świecie. The partial ruin is kept in full-shape from the bank of the river Vistula and Wda - together with a circular tower topped with merlons. The castle is part of a complex built by the Teutonic Knights in the Gothic architectural style. The castle was built on the site of a Pomeranian dukes' gord - located by the site of the castle. Formerly the castle had four corner towers, one of which survived. The castle is surrounded by a defensive wall and a moat. In 1410 the castle was looted by Polish forces obliterated the castle. The castle was owned by the Kingdom of Poland after the Second Peace of Thorn in 1466. In the sixteenth century, Castellan Konopacki reconstructed the castle into the Renaissance architectural style. The castle was devastated after the Deluge and since then was not rebuilt. The castle was furthermore devastated after Prussian forces used the castle as training grounds. Currently the castle houses a museum, with the tower and castle renovated.

Nowe Dobra [ˈnɔvɛ ˈdɔbra] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chełmno, within Chełmno County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Chełmno, 41 km (25 mi) north of Toruń, and 43 km (27 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz. It is located in Chełmno Land within the historic region of Pomerania.

Świecie (Polish: [ˈɕfjɛt͡ɕɛ] ; German: Schwetz) is a town in northern Poland with 24,841 inhabitants (2023), capital of Świecie County in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is located within the ethnocultural region of Kociewie in the historic region of Pomerania. Founded in the Middle Ages, Świecie prospered as a trade center due to its location at the intersection of important trade routes. The town features heritage sites in a variety of styles, including Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Gothic, a preserved market square, and the region's sole Museum of Firefighting. Świecie is home to one of the oldest psychiatric hospitals in Poland.

Its seat is the town of Świecie, which lies approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Toruń and 45 km (28 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz. The gmina covers an area of 174.81 square kilometres (67.5 sq mi), and as of 2023 its total population is 32,807 (out of which the population of Świecie amounts to 24,841, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 7,966).

Świecie County (Polish: powiat świecki) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Świecie, which lies 45 km (28 mi) north of Toruń and 45 km (28 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz. The only other town in the county is Nowe, lying 33 km (21 mi) north-east of Świecie. The county covers an area of 1,472.78 square kilometres (568.6 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 99,154, out of which the population of Świecie is 25,723, that of Nowe is 5,827, and the rural population is 67,604.

Its seat is the town of Chełmno, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 114.05 square kilometres (44.0 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 5,239.

Its administrative seat and only town is Chełmno, which lies 40 km (25 mi) north of Toruń and 40 km (25 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz. The county covers an area of 527.62 square kilometres (203.7 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 52,018, out of which the population of Chełmno is 19,605 and the rural population is 32,413. The county includes the protected area called Chełmno Landscape Park, which stretches along the right bank of the Vistula river.

It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) north-west of Świecie, 44 km (27 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz, and 46 km (29 mi) north of Toruń.

It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Świecie, 40 km (25 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz, and 42 km (26 mi) north of Toruń.

Przechówko [pʂɛˈxufkɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świecie, within Świecie County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-west of Świecie, 42 km (26 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz, and 44 km (27 mi) north of Toruń.

The Wda (German: Schwarzwasser) is a river in Poland; it has a lowland character. The Wda is one of the 15 main canoe trails in Poland. It is 198 km long and the surface of its catchment area amounts to 2325 km2. The Wda's average gradient is 0.7‰ and its flow is 6.52 m3/s. The Wda begins its course at Krążno Lake and ends in the Wisła in Świecie. The Wda is one of the longest rivers in Bory Tucholskie and one of the most important of Pomorze's river routes.

The Chełmno Voivodeship (Polish: Województwo chełmińskie) was a unit of administrative division and local government in the Kingdom of Poland since 1454/1466 until the Partitions of Poland in 1772/1793. Its capital was at Chełmno. Together with the Pomeranian and Malbork Voivodeships and the Prince-Bishopric of Warmia it formed the province of Royal Prussia, and with several other voivodeships it formed the Greater Poland Province.
