Grandview Heights is a neighbourhood in the South Surrey town centre of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

The Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre (GHAC) is an indoor Olympic-sized aquatic centre in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. It is located in the Grandview Heights neighbourhood of South Surrey, and was designed by HCMA Architecture + Design, built at a cost of $55 million and opened in June 2016. The facility features a 10-lane 50-meter lap pool, leisure pool with lazy river, hot tubs, diving towers and a water slide in addition to a sauna and steam room.

Grandview Heights Secondary School is a public secondary school in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and is a part of School District 36 Surrey.

The Semiahmoo Indian Reserve ( SEM-ee-AH-moo) is a 129.1-hectare (320 acre) Indian reserve in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, located on Semiahmoo Bay between the City of White Rock and Peace Arch Park, which sits astride the international boundary with Washington state. The reserve is under the administration of the Semiahmoo First Nation, which is the band government of the Semiahmoo people, a North Straits Salish-speaking subgroup of the Coast Salish. Currently the people of Semiahmoo's chief is Harley Chappell (since 2017). The Semiahmoo Reserve was established by the Canadian government in 1887.

Semiahmoo First Nation ( SEM-ee-AH-moo) is the band government of the Semiahmoo people, a Coast Salish subgroup. The band's main community and offices are located on the 312 acres (1.3 km2) Semiahmoo Indian Reserve which is sandwiched between the boundary of White Rock, British Columbia and the Canada–United States boundary and Peace Arch Provincial Park.

The Peace Arch (French: Arche de la Paix) is a monument situated near the westernmost point of the Canada–United States border in the contiguous United States, between the communities of Blaine, Washington and Surrey, British Columbia. Construction of the 20.5-meter (67 ft) tall arch was headed by American lawyer Sam Hill and dedicated in September 1921. The Peace Arch commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Ghent in 1814, and symbolizes a long history of peace between the two nations. The monument is built on the exact U.S.–Canada boundary, where Interstate 5 on the U.S. side of the border becomes Highway 99 on the Canadian side, in the grass median between the northbound and southbound lanes. The monument and the surrounding land is part of Peace Arch Park. Within the park is Peace Arch Border Crossing, a major border crossing between Interstate 5 and British Columbia Highway 99.

Peace Arch Park is an international park consisting of Peace Arch Historical State Park in Washington, United States and Peace Arch Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada. The park straddles the international boundary between the two countries at the extreme western end of the main contiguous section of the two countries' land border, between Blaine, Washington, United States, and Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, where it reaches Semiahmoo Bay of the Salish Sea on the continent's Pacific Coast. The park's central feature is the Peace Arch. The park is located at the Peace Arch Border Crossing (also known as the Douglas Border Crossing), where Highway 99 in British Columbia and Interstate 5 in Washington State meet. The park's northern portion is about 9 hectares (22 acres) and is managed by the British Columbia Ministry of Environment. The southern portion is about 20 acres (8.1 ha) and is managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.

South Surrey is a community within the City of Surrey, British Columbia, located on the Semiahmoo peninsula in the southern portion of the City of Surrey, sharing a border with the City of White Rock. Neighbourhoods of South Surrey include Crescent Beach, Crescent Heights, Elgin, Chantrell Creek, Morgan Creek, Grandview Heights, Hazelmere, Ocean Park, and Sunnyside. Most of South Surrey lies in White Rock's population centre.

The Peace Arch Border Crossing is the common name for the Blaine–Douglas crossing which connects the cities of Blaine, Washington and Surrey, British Columbia on the Canada–United States border. I-5 on the American side joins BC Highway 99 on the Canadian side. Being the most direct route between the major cities of Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia, the crossing is the third-busiest on the border with up to 4,800 cars a day. Trucks and other commercial vehicles are prohibited from this location and use the Pacific Highway Border Crossing, which is 1.6 kilometres (1 mi) eastward.

The Campbell River passes through Surrey and Langley, British Columbia, Canada, entering Semiahmoo Bay at the Semiahmoo Indian Reserve, which lies between the City of White Rock and Peace Arch Park on the international boundary. Originally labelled Campbell Creek in 1917 by the Geographic Board of Canada, it was labelled Tahtaloo on International Boundary Survey sheet 2 (date not cited) (a toponym derived from Tah-tu-lo, the Semiahmoo endonym for their dialect of Straits Salish); variant spellings include Tahla too, Tah-la-loo, and Tah tu lo. It was probably named after Archibald Campbell, US commissioner in the joint negotiations to locate the international boundary 1857–1862, who had his camp at the mouth of the creek. It was identified in the field notes of Joseph Trutch's survey as Semiahmoo Creek in 1859. "Ta’talu" is the name used nowadays by the Semiahmoo First Nation residing in its vicinity.

Earl Marriott Secondary (EMS) is a public high school in the Vancouver suburb of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and is part of School District 36 Surrey. It is referred to as the 'Home of the Mariners'. It is located on the edge of city limits, on 16th Avenue (which straddles the border between Surrey and White Rock).

Douglas is a locality in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, just southeast and outside of the boundary of White Rock, that is the Canadian side of the Peace Arch Border Crossing between British Columbia and Whatcom County, Washington in the United States. Douglas is the location of the Peace Arch Provincial Park portion of the International Peace Arch Park, which it shares with Peace Arch State Park in Blaine, Washington. The community is named for Benjamin Douglas, an early pioneer and railroad surveyor.: 65
