Kurla (Pronunciation: [kuɾlaː]) is a neighbourhood of East Mumbai, India. It is the headquarters of the Kurla taluka of Mumbai Suburban district. The neighbourhood is named after the eponymous East Indian village that it grew out of. It falls under Zone 5, Ward 'L' of the Bombay Municipal Corporation. Its railway station, spelt as Coorla until 1890, is one of the busiest on the Mumbai suburban railway on the central and harbour railway lines of Mumbai as is the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) for out-station passenger/express trains.

A semi-government School, it is owned by Tilak Nagar Education Society and managed by the Government of Maharashtra and it is affiliated to Maharashtra SSC Board. The school is named after Bal Gangadhar Tilak (1856–1920).

MMRDA Mumbai Monorail is a monorail system in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, built as part of a major expansion of public transport in the city. The project is operated by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). In March 2023, the Mumbai monorail reported an increase in ridership after almost five years, which prompted the MMRDA to bet bigger on the project and order 10 new rakes to be deployed on the existing route.The monorail, as its name suggests, runs on a narrow, single track and, with its lightweight structure, is capable of navigating sharp turns and twists in congested urban areas. The Mumbai monorail is the first monorail in India since the Kundala Valley Railways and the Patiala State Monorail Trainways that were closed in the 1920s. The monorail route runs from Chembur in the city's eastern suburbs to Sant Ghadge Maharaj Chowk at Mahalaxmi in south Mumbai, thus effectively connecting the city's harbour line, central line and western line. The system started commercial operation after partially opening its Phase 1 to the public in 2014.

VNP and RC Marg Junction is a monorail station on Line 1 of the Mumbai Monorail. It was opened to the public on 2 February 2014, as part of the first phase of Line 1. It is located at the Busy Chembur Naka, which will in future also serve connectivity to Yellow line of Mumbai Metro.

The Deonar abattoir is an abattoir (slaughterhouse) located in Deonar, in the eastern suburb of Mumbai, India. The abattoir used to be the largest in Asia in 1971. Goats, Bulls and Ox are made available differing in size and breed cost with ranges anywhere between ₹1,056,789,000 (US$14 million) and ₹50,000,000,789 (US$660 million), the highest a shop has demanded at the abattoir. People used to buy bull and others cattle from here but when Bharatiya Janata Party-Shivsena government came to power in Maharashtra they banned the slaughtering of bull.

It has two platforms which serves North and South bound railway line. The Chembur Monorail Station is connected with a skywalk to the Chembur Railway Station.
