The Chili's at 45th and Lamar is a Chili's restaurant located in Austin, Texas that has been the subject of internet memes promulgated chiefly through the /r/Austin subreddit since at least 2011. On April 5, 2024, mayor Kirk Watson officially declared April 5, 2024 as Chili's at 45th & Lamar Day.

The Rosedale neighborhood is located in north central Austin, Texas. The neighborhood is bordered by on 38th Street to the south, Shoal Creek to the west, North Loop / Hancock Drive to the north, and Lamar Boulevard to the east Ramsey Park is located in the middle of the neighborhood, and has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, a basketball court, playgrounds, and picnic areas. There are over 1200 homes in the area, a variety of businesses within walking distance, and a network of medical services close by (including Seton Hospital, and ATX Orthopedics.) Rosedale was first developed as farm and dairy land in the 1860s. In the 1900s, four florists and nurseries were based in the area; much of the nursery stock planted during that time remains.Many of the homes in the Rosedale area were built during the 1930s and 1940s; since then, many have been added onto and many new homes have been built.

Austin State Hospital (ASH), formerly known until 1925 as the Texas State Lunatic Asylum, is a 299-bed psychiatric hospital located in Austin, Texas. It is the oldest psychiatric facility in the state of Texas, and the oldest continuously operating west of the Mississippi River. It is operated by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Huntington-Surrey School is a private non-sectarian college preparatory high school located in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 1973 and is located northwest of the University of Texas campus. The school's goal is to produce young adults who graduate with the tools and the desire to keep learning throughout their lives. Individual attention and a personalized educational experience come from a low student-to-teacher ratios: 8-1 in core classes, 6-1 in math, and 1-1 in the literature program, which is based on the British tutorial method. The school offers a personal educational experience curriculum with a particular focus on composition and literature, with standard science, history, and math classes also required. Electives, which are offered on Fridays, draw on the various interests and talents of the faculty. Some remarkable features of the student experience at Huntington-Surrey include the very small class sizes and the school days with built-in help for accomplishing homework assignments, including math homework always done in the presence of a math teacher. The school is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED/ Southern Association of Colleges and Schools).

The Blue Bonnet Court, originally called the Bluebonnet Tourist Camp, is a historic motor court-style motel in north-central Austin, Texas. It is located at 4407 Guadalupe Street, Austin, Texas. The lot where it stands originally belonged to the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Land Company. In 1925 the land was then purchased by the Halls and had several owners over four years until Elizabeth and Joe Lucas purchased the land for $1,000 in February 1929.Joe and Elizabeth Lucas then hired the Brydson Lumber Company to construct the Bluebonnet Tourist Camp in anticipation of upcoming traffic along Guadalupe Street, which was paved in 1930. The location was highly sought-after, given its proximity to the Austin State Hospital psychiatric facility (now known as Austin State Hospital) across the street, and was also conveniently located along Guadalupe Street, which at the time was the only route connecting Austin to Dallas.The motel is situated on the northwestern corner of the Hyde Park subdivision along what was then the main road out of town. In the 1930s it featured Austin's first neon sign, which still hangs from the front (though in a dilapidated condition). Blue Bonnet Court features a stone wall in front with 11 basic rooms and attached covered parking. The rooms are rented today as efficiency apartments. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Founded in 1992, Hyde Park Theatre (formerly Frontera@Hyde Park Theatre) is an arts center in Austin, Texas, that has produced over 50 world and regional premieres. In addition to a mainstage season, HPT curates the largest performance festival in the Southwest, FronteraFest.The quality of their work has been acknowledged by 46 Critics' Table Awards, 26 B. Iden Payne Awards, 4 NEA Awards, three TCG National Artist Residencies, feature articles in American Theater and Yale Theatre Magazine. Their production of The Drawer Boy was awarded the 2004 B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Drama and the Critics’ Table Award for Outstanding Comedy. Their production of Vigil won the 2003 B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Comedy. Hyde Park Theatre received 13 Critics' Table Award nominations in 2003 and 9 Critics' Table Award nominations in 2004 and in 2005. Thirteen of their company members were named to the Austin Chronicle's list of Austin's top 40 stage actors. Artistic Director Ken Webster has received 46 B. Iden Payne Award nominations and 13 B. Iden Payne Awards. He received the B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Direction in 2003, 2004, and 2007. In 2003, he received a Critics' Table Award for directing the world premiere of Something Someone Someplace Else by Ann Marie Healy and Marion Bridge by Daniel MacIvor. He is the only director to have been honored with B. Iden Payne Awards for directing in each of the last 3 decades. Webster was inducted into the Austin Arts Hall of Fame on June 5, 2006. Between their mainstage season, FronteraFest, and rental shows, between 16,500 and 21,000 people visit Hyde Park Theatre annually, and over a thousand artists present their work. HPT is member of Theatre Communications Group, and serves as the umbrella organization for Da! Theatre Collective and the performance home to many of Austin's best alternative artists and companies.

The Baker Center, previously the Baker School, Baker Junior High School, and W. R. Robbins High School, is a historic building in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Austin, Texas. It has been, in sequential order, an elementary school, a middle school, an alternative high school, and an administrative building for Austin ISD. In 2018, the Baker Center was bought by Alamo Drafthouse, and now serves as their corporate headquarters. It has been used as a filming location for the TV shows Friday Night Lights and Walker, and the movie Lousy Carter. As of October 27, 2023, the Baker Center is on the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in educational and architectural history.

On 31 October 2021, an arson attack at Congregation Beth Israel, a Reform Jewish synagogue in Austin, Texas, damaged the synagogue's front doors and stained glass windows, causing more than $250,000 in damage. Franklin Sechriest admitted to conducting the attack out of his hatred for Jews and was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on 29 November 2023.

Barton Springs is a set of four natural water springs located at Barton Creek on the grounds of Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, resulting from water flowing through the Edwards Aquifer. The largest spring, Main Barton Spring (also known as Parthenia, "the mother spring") supplies water to Barton Springs Pool, a popular recreational destination in Austin. The smaller springs are located nearby, two with man-made structures built to contain and direct their flow. The springs are the only known habitat of the Barton Springs Salamander, an endangered species.The Barton Creek National Archeological and Historic District was formed in 1985.

Congregation Beth Israel is a Reform synagogue located at 3901 Shoal Creek Boulevard in Austin, Texas. Organized in 1876 and chartered by the state of Texas in 1879, it is the oldest synagogue in Austin.The synagogue had 51 members in 1907 and was located at East 11th and Trinity. It had no rabbi at the time.The senior rabbi is Steven Folberg.

Hyde Park Presbyterian Church is a historic church at 3915 Ave. B in Austin, Texas. It was built in 1896 and added to the National Register in 1990.

The Smith–Marcuse–Lowry House is an historic home in the Hyde Park Historic District in Austin, Texas. It is also a part of the Shadow Lawn Historic District, a subdivision within the Hyde Park neighborhood established by Hyde Park founder Monroe M. Shipe. The house's original footprint was square, with two stories. It had a cedar shingle roof upon its completion. At the time of its construction, it was built with all the modern conveniences for its time period. The house was wired for electric light, featured a gas fireplace-in-the-round for heating, transoms and double hung windows for circulation and had a water collection and retention system. Texas Victorian homes have much less ornate scrollwork than traditional Victorian homes, yet the work is still interesting. The porch railings and decorative elements of the Marcuse–Lowry home have been retained or reproduced in their original form. The house is located at 3913 Avenue C. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
