Cornhill Quarter, Lincoln

The Exchange Arcade is a shopping mall in Cornhill in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The structure, which was commissioned as a corn exchange, is a Grade II listed building.

The Guildhall and Stonebow, Lincoln, has been the meeting place of Lincoln City Council from Medieval times to the present. The term Stonebow, which is derived from the Danish word stennibogi, indicates a stone archway that visitors entering the city from the south, along the High Street, would have passed through. It is a Grade I listed building. Lincoln City Hall, a 20th-century building on Orchard Street, provides further accommodation for the city council.

Baptist Chapel, Lincoln is a Baptist Chapel on Mint Lane/Mint Street in Lincoln City Centre in Lincolnshire, England. It is a former Baptist Church and was originally built in 1870 and had a Sunday School attached. It was declared redundant in 1980 and was closed that same year. The chapel and Sunday school are now in use for an estate agents. The chapel is within in a conservation area. The 1897 Sunday school building is grade II listed, along with its boundary wall.

St Benedict's Church, Lincoln is an ancient church in Lincoln, England which is mentioned in 1107 and before the English Civil War was the Lincoln civic church. It was extensively destroyed in the Civil War, and was only partially restored. The tower was re-built imitating the other late Anglo-Saxon towers in Lincoln. All that survives is the present nave, which was the chancel of the former church and the chapel to the north built by Robert Tattershall in 1378. The church's bell known as Old Kate, was cast in 1585 and paid for by the Lincoln barber surgeons company. The church was closed in 1931 and demolition was proposed. However, following a public outcry, the church was saved as the result of an appeal and renovation work undertaken. It was the headquarters of the Lincoln Diocese Mothers' Union but closed in 2018. In June 2020 it became the base for Lincoln Street Pastors [1] who go out on Saturday and Friday nights to listen, help and care for all those out in the City of Lincoln during the night time economy hours. In April 2022 Unicorn Tree Books [2] moved in to become the Bookshop in St Benedict's when they had to relocate from Lincoln Central Market due to its closure.

St Peter at Arches, Church, Lincoln was an ancient church in Lincoln, England, that was demolished and re-built c. 1720–24 by either Francis or William Smith of Warwick. The church was sited just to the north of the junction of the High Street and Silver Street and close to the Guildhall and Stonebow, Lincoln.

Empowerment is a public sculpture in the centre of the city of Lincoln in England. Designed by the artist Stephen Broadbent, sponsored by Alstom UK Ltd, Lincoln Co-operative Society, and other Lincoln businesses and organisations, donated to Lincoln City Council.The sculpture was completed in 2002, unveiled on 2 February, and spans the River Witham in Lincoln's City Square. It takes the form of two aluminium-and-steel human figures reaching to each other across the water. The design is intended to echo the shape of turbine blades, in recognition of Lincoln's industrial heritage, which transform into dynamic figures that reach out to empower one another, just as the blades empower one another within the turbine.The statue was commissioned with the intent to create a bold and striking sculpture to celebrate the millennium, that spans the River Witham in Lincoln’s city centre and act as a focal point in the space.At 16 m (17 yd) tall, Empowerment is the largest sculpture in Lincolnshire. Increasingly, it is now used alongside more traditional images of Lincoln — the cathedral and castle — as a recognisable 'tourist emblem' of the city, similar to the adoption of the Angel of the North as a symbol of North East England.

Whitefriar or Akrill's Court is a 16th century timber-framed building in Lincoln. It now has a late 20th century shop front, but the timber-framed building survives with the southern front facing the narrow Akrill’s passage, on the east side of the High Street and just to the south of the railway crossing.
