The J. K. Gill Company Building is an historic building in Portland, Oregon. The structure once served as the J. K. Gill Company's flagship store. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in February 2021.

Tokyo Sando is a restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Spouses Taiki Nakajima and Andrea Nakajima began operating the food cart from the Portland State University campus in downtown Portland in February 2020, just prior to the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. The business later relocated to 2nd Avenue and Stark Street. In 2023, the owners announced plans to close permanently due to increases food costs and declining revenue. However, in 2024, Tokyo Sando re-opened in the Southwest 5th Avenue food cart pod. The business has garnered a positive reception.

Fareless Square was an area within central Portland, Oregon, where all rides on TriMet buses and light rail and the Portland Streetcar were free. It primarily consisted of the downtown area and, after 2001, the Lloyd District. It existed from January 1975 through August 2012, but was briefly renamed the Free Rail Zone in January 2010 after its coverage became limited to light rail and streetcar service, with bus rides no longer being free. The TriMet board decided in June 2012 to discontinue the Free Rail Zone primarily to help fill a large shortfall in the agency's budget, and the action was one component of a package of extensive budget cuts which also included service reductions and fare increases. The Free Rail Zone ended on August 31, 2012.

The Southwest 5th Avenue food cart pod is a group of food carts in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. Following an update and renovation in 2023, the pod will become known as Midtown Beer Garden.

Blueplate Lunch Counter and Soda Fountain was a restaurant in Portland, Oregon, United States. Located in downtown's Dekum Building, the diner and lunch counter was established by chef–owner Jeff Reiter in 2006. The menu had American-style comfort food such as chicken and dumplings, French toast, meatloaf, and hot dogs, as well as banana splits, egg creams, milkshakes, and sundaes. Blueplate was one of the city's only in-house soda fountains, offering classic and original varieties. Guy Fieri visited for a 2012 episode of the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The restaurant garnered a positive reception, especially for its sodas, burger sliders, macaroni and cheese, and grilled cheese and tomato soup combination, which Fieri said was among the nation's best. Blueplate closed in 2016, after operating for nine years.

The Hotel Alder, is an historic five-story building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. In 2004, it was named to the National Register of Historic Places. It has also been known as the Hotel President, the Jack London Hotel, and Century Plaza. The ground floor is occupied by the popular Rialto Poolroom Bar and Cafe and an off-track betting parlor which was sold to new owners in December 2016.

The Lumbermen's Building (also known as the Oregon Trail Building) is an office building located at 333 SW Fifth Avenue in Downtown Portland, Oregon. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 12, 1996.

The Rialto Poolroom Bar and Cafe, or simply Rialto is a billiard hall, cafe, and off-track betting parlor in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. It was established in 1920.

The First National Bank Building is a building located in downtown Portland, Oregon, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Located at 401–409 SW 5th Avenue, designed by Coolidge and Shattuck of Boston, resembling some of the Lincoln Memorial classicism, it was built in 1916 when the bank outgrew its earlier quarters and when it was subsequently under the ownership of H.W. Corbett’s grandsons. The building was dubbed the "marble temple". The bank's design bred confidence and was a symbol of security.
