Chester's Dee Radio is an Independent Local Radio station serving the city of Chester and surrounding areas. The station is independent and locally owned and broadcasts from studios at Riverside Innovation Centre. As of June 2023, the station broadcasts to a weekly audience of 11,000, according to RAJAR.

Chester Shot Tower, also known as Boughton Shot Tower, is a grade-II*-listed shot tower located at SJ413667 in the Boughton district of Chester, England. The tower stands beside the Shropshire Union Canal and forms part of the disused Chester Leadworks. Built by Walkers, Parker & Co. in 1799, the tower is the oldest of three remaining shot towers in the UK, and probably the oldest such structure still standing in the world. The circular red-brick tower is 168 feet (51 m) tall and 30 feet (9.1 m) in diameter at the base tapering to 20 feet (6.1 m) at the top, with small arched windows. A lift shaft dating from 1971 was removed in 2020; the interior retains a spiral staircase and melting pots.

The English Presbyterian Church of Wales is in City Road, Chester, Cheshire, England. The church was built in 1864, and designed by Michael Gummow of Wrexham. It is constructed with a stuccoed front and brick sides, and has a slate roof. The architectural style is Neoclassical, Its entrance front is in five bays; it has a portico with four Ionic columns, and a three-bay pediment. The opposite end of the church is apsidal. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade listed building.

Zion Chapel, Chester is in Grosvenor Park Road, Chester, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.The chapel was built in 1879–80 to a design by John Douglas. It was originally a Baptist chapel. It is built in red brick with stone dressings and the roof is of red-brown clay tiles. It consists of an undercroft, a church and ancillary rooms. The west end faces the road and has corner turrets.In 1980 a congregation called the Zion Tabernacle moved into the former chapel. In 2000 it styled itself Protestant Evangelical.

6–11 Grosvenor Park Road is a terrace of houses in Chester, Cheshire, England. The building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It was designed by the Chester architect John Douglas, and the architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner describes it as "a brilliant group of brick houses".

Uffington House is in Dee Hills Park, Chester, Cheshire, England. It was built in 1885 for Thomas Hughes, the author of Tom Brown's School Days, and designed by Edward Ould. It is constructed in red brick with stone and terracotta dressings and a red tile roof. The house is in three storeys with cellars and an attic. Its architectural features include turrets surmounted by spires with lead finials. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Town Crier is a public house located on the corner of City Road and Station Road, Chester, Cheshire, England. It stands opposite Chester General Station. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Baker Way is a footpath running from Chester railway station to Delamere railway station within the English county of Cheshire. The total length of the trail is 13 miles (21 km). Its name commemorates the life and work of Jack Baker, a former footpaths officer for Cheshire County Council.

Chester railway station is located in Newtown, Chester, England. Services are operated by Avanti West Coast, Merseyrail, Northern and Transport for Wales. From 1875 to 1969 the station was known as Chester General to distinguish it from Chester Northgate. The station's Italianate frontage was designed by the architect Francis Thompson. Work on a £10 million regeneration scheme, the Chester Renaissance programme was completed in 2007. The development includes a new roof, improved customer facilities and improved access to the station. A plaque commemorating Thomas Brassey is installed on the wall opposite the booking office. The station marks one end of the Baker Way a footpath leading to Delamere railway station. Scheduled services from Chester station are operated by Avanti West Coast to London Euston and Holyhead, Merseyrail to Liverpool, Northern to Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds and Transport for Wales to Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Airport, Crewe, Birmingham New Street, Cardiff Central, Llandudno and Holyhead.

The Chester General rail crash occurred on 8 May 1972 at Chester, northwest England, resulting in extensive fire damage, but no casualties. It was caused by brake failure through human error.
