The Baker Way is a footpath running from Chester railway station to Delamere railway station within the English county of Cheshire. The total length of the trail is 13 miles (21 km). Its name commemorates the life and work of Jack Baker, a former footpaths officer for Cheshire County Council.

From 1875 to 1969 the station was known as Chester General to distinguish it from Chester Northgate. The station's Italianate frontage was designed by the architect Francis Thompson. The development includes a new roof, improved customer facilities and improved access to the station. A plaque commemorating Thomas Brassey is installed on the wall opposite the booking office. The station marks one end of the Baker Way a footpath leading to Delamere railway station. Chester Shot Tower, also known as Boughton Shot Tower, is a grade-II*-listed shot tower located at SJ413667 in the Boughton district of Chester, England. The tower stands beside the Shropshire Union Canal and forms part of the disused Chester Leadworks. Built by Walkers, Parker & Co. in 1799, the tower is the oldest of three remaining shot towers in the UK, and probably the oldest such structure still standing in the world. The circular red-brick tower is 168 feet (51 m) tall and 30 feet (9.1 m) in diameter at the base tapering to 20 feet (6.1 m) at the top, with small arched windows. A lift shaft dating from 1971 was removed in 2020; the interior retains a spiral staircase and melting pots.

St Barnabas' Church is a redundant Anglican church in Sibell Street, Chester, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It was originally built as a mission church, financed from public subscription, to serve the workers living near Chester railway station. The church and the adjacent curate's house were designed by John Douglas in 1877.The church is built in brick with stone dressings. The house is also in brick with a timber-framed front. Both have slated roofs. The church has a six-bay nave which is continuous with a one-bay chancel. There is a two-bay north transept with an attached eastern vestry, a west porch and an octagonal northwest baptistry. On the roof is a flèche surmounted by ball and cross. Between the church and the curate's house is a roofed lobby. From 1985 to 1987 the church was used by the Orthodox Christian parish of St Barbara's before the community moved due to the dilapidated state of the building. The church has subsequently been used as offices.

It is constructed in red brick with stone and terracotta dressings and a red tile roof. The house is in three storeys with cellars and an attic. Its architectural features include turrets surmounted by spires with lead finials. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

It is constructed with a stuccoed front and brick sides, and has a slate roof. The architectural style is Neoclassical, Its entrance front is in five bays; it has a portico with four Ionic columns, and a three-bay pediment. The opposite end of the church is apsidal. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade listed building.
