Kilian, also spelled Cillian or Killian (or alternatively Irish: Cillín; Latin: Kilianus), was an Irish missionary bishop and the Apostle of Franconia (now the northern part of Bavaria), where he began his labours in the latter half of the 7th century. His feast day is 8 July.

Finternagh is one of a number townlands of the Irish civil parish of Killinkere in the barony of Castlerahan, County Cavan, Province of Ulster. In the 1911 census of Ireland, the townland had seventeen houses with 100 inhabitants (45 males and 55 females).

Drumbaragh or Drumbarrow or Boherboy (Irish: Droim Bearach, meaning 'shorn hill' or 'grazed or bare ridge') is a townland and village in County Meath, Ireland, 5.2 kilometres (3.2 miles) west of the town of Kells. The townland had a population of 180 in 2011. The Drumbaragh Emmets Gaelic football club (GFC) represents the area.

The Spire of Lloyd in Kells, Ireland is an 18th-century folly in the form of a Doric column, surmounted by a glazed lantern. Sometimes described as "Ireland's only inland lighthouse", it was designed by architect Henry Aaron Baker. It was reputedly commissioned by Thomas Taylour, 1st Earl of Bective as a memorial to his father.The tower is located on the Hill of Lloyd, making this 40 kilometres from the coast and is around 30 m (100 ft) high. From the top there are views of the surrounding countryside as far as the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Northern Ireland on a clear day. The tower was used to view horse racing and the hunt in the nineteenth century. A plaque on the tower reads: This pillar was designed by Henry Aaron Baker Esq. architect was executed by Mr. Joseph Beck stone cutter Mr. Owen Mc Cabe head mason Mr. Bartle Reilly overseer Anno 1791.The area around the tower has been developed as a community park, and includes a paupers' grave, where Mass is still celebrated annually in memory of the Great Famine.

Mahonstown also known as Caran is a townland in the civil parish of Enniscoffey in County Westmeath, Ireland.The townland is located to the south of Mullingar, to the north of Rochfortbridge and Milltownpass, and to the east of Lough Ennell.

Bailieborough Community School, alternatively spelled as Bailieboro, and commonly referred to as BCS, is a community school located in the town of Bailieborough, County Cavan, Ireland. The school was an amalgamation of two previous schools in the town; Bailieborough Vocation School, colloquially called The Tech; and Lourdesville Secondary School, colloquially referred to as 'The Convent'. The school was built on the site of the existing Lourdesville School, and was opened on the 8 November 1982 by the then Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, John Wilson. The school has 36 teaching classrooms, a physical education gym, a gaelic football pitch and two car parks. As of 2019, there were over 630 students enrolled in BCS.

Bailieborough or Bailieboro (; Irish: Coill an Chollaigh, meaning 'the wood of the boar') is a town and civil parish in County Cavan, Ireland. As of 2016, its population was 2,683, up from 1,529 as of the 1996 census. Bailieborough's proximity to the N3 national road has made it a commuter town.
