Mullagh (; Irish: An Mullach, meaning 'the hilltop') is a town, civil parish and townland in County Cavan, Ireland. As of 2016, the town's population was 1,348. It lies in the south-east of the county, at the junction of the R191 and the R194 regional roads near the towns of Virginia and Bailieborough.

Finternagh is a townland in County Cavan, Ireland. The townland covers 295 acres (1.19 km2). Finternagh is one of a number townlands of the Irish civil parish of Killinkere in the barony of Castlerahan, County Cavan, Province of Ulster. In the 1911 census of Ireland, the townland had seventeen houses with 100 inhabitants (45 males and 55 females).

Old Moybologue Cemetery is a circular enclosure in County Cavan, Ireland. The site dates from the Early Christian Period and features the ruins of a mediaeval church and a graveyard.

The townland had a population of 180 in 2011. The Drumbaragh Emmets Gaelic football club (GFC) represents the area.

Moynalty (Irish: Maigh nEalta, meaning 'the plain of the flocks') is a village in the north-west of County Meath in Ireland. It is located at the junction of the R194 and R164 regional roads 8 km (5 mi) north of Kells, near the border with County Cavan. It was part of the Kells Poor Law Union. The Borora river flows through the village. Its population in 2011 was 116 people.

Bailieborough Community School, alternatively spelled as Bailieboro, and commonly referred to as BCS, is a community school located in the town of Bailieborough, County Cavan, Ireland. The school was an amalgamation of two previous schools in the town; Bailieborough Vocation School, colloquially called The Tech; and Lourdesville Secondary School, colloquially referred to as 'The Convent'. The school was built on the site of the existing Lourdesville School, and was opened on the 8 November 1982 by the then Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, John Wilson. The school has 36 teaching classrooms, a physical education gym, a gaelic football pitch and two car parks. As of 2019, there were over 630 students enrolled in BCS.

Lough Ramor (Irish: Loch Ramhar) is a large natural lake of 741 hectares situated near Virginia, County Cavan. From early records Vita Tripartita identified as being in the territory of Cenal Muinreamhair. The literal meaning of the term Muinreamhair is 'fat-neck' and appears to be derived from a prehistoric or mythical ancestor warrior, connoting great strength. Loch Muinreamhair also appears in early manuscripts of the Four Masters. Lough Ramor is a proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA) and flows into the Blackwater, designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) under the Natura 2000 wildlife habitat conservation programme.

Virginia College, Cavan, formerly Virginia Vocational School Cavan, is the only secondary school in Virginia, Cavan, Ireland. It was founded in 1962. Situated beside Lough Ramor, it is a mixed school educating over 800 pupils. With three new extensions over the years (most recent in 2012), a new extension is being planned for summer 2024. the school houses three ICT suites and a language ICT lab. Results in state exams have increased significantly since its introduction in 2009. The Virginia school celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2012. The motto of the school is "Tús Feasa Fiafraí", meaning "The beginning of knowledge is asking".

Bailieborough or Bailieboro (; Irish: Coill an Chollaigh, meaning 'the wood of the boar') is a town and civil parish in County Cavan, Ireland. As of 2016, its population was 2,683, up from 1,529 as of the 1996 census. Bailieborough's proximity to the N3 national road has made it a commuter town.
