Braywick House

Braywick is a linear suburb in the southern portion of the unparished area of Maidenhead and formerly in the civil parish of Bray in the English county of Berkshire. It is incorrectly called Bray Wick on Ordnance Survey maps.

Braywick Park is a 12.7-hectare (31-acre) Local Nature Reserve in the Braywick suburb of Maidenhead in Berkshire. It is owned and managed by Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Bray Meadows is a 6.6-hectare (16-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Maidenhead in Berkshire.These unimproved meadows adjacent to a side channel of the River Thames have a rich diversity of flora. River bank plants include the nationally scarce parasitic greater dodder. There are typical damp meadow plants such as meadow barley, lesser stitchwort and meadowsweet, while one of the fields has many ant hills.The site is private land with no public access.

The Fat Duck is a fine dining restaurant in Bray, Berkshire, England, owned by the chef Heston Blumenthal. Housed in a 16th-century building, the Fat Duck opened on 16 August 1995. Although it originally served food similar to a French bistro, it soon acquired a reputation for precision and invention, and has been at the forefront of many modern culinary developments, such as food pairing, flavour encapsulation and multi-sensory cooking.The number of staff in the kitchen increased from four when the Fat Duck first opened to 42, resulting in a ratio of one kitchen staff member per customer. The Fat Duck gained its first Michelin star in 1999, its second in 2002 and its third in 2004, making it one of eight restaurants in the United Kingdom to earn three Michelin stars. It lost its three stars in 2016, as it was under renovation, preventing it from being open for assessment. It regained all three stars in the following year.The Fat Duck is known for its fourteen-course tasting menu featuring dishes such as nitro-scrambled egg and bacon ice cream, an Alice in Wonderland-inspired mock turtle soup involving a bouillon packet made up to look like a fob watch dissolved in tea, and a dish called Sound of the Sea which includes an audio element. It has an associated laboratory where Blumenthal and his team develop new dish concepts. In 2009, the Fat Duck suffered from the largest norovirus outbreak ever documented at a restaurant, with more than 400 diners falling ill.

St Michael's Church, Bray, is a Grade II* listed parish church in the Church of England in Bray, Berkshire.

The Holyport Real Tennis Club, formerly the Royal County of Berkshire Real Tennis Club, operates the real tennis court at Holyport, Berkshire, England.The court was built in 1889 by Sam Heilbut as part of his Holyport estate and is a Grade II listed building. The court is tucked behind a row of picturesque cottages on Holyport Street. The main house of the estate is now a nursing home.The overall dimensions of the court are 111 feet by 38 feet 8 inches (33.83 × 11.79 m), with a floor of 96 feet by 31 feet 8 inches (29.26 × 9.65 m). The tambour is 18½ inches wide by 25½ inches deep (470 × 648 mm). About a two hundred members of the Holyport Real Tennis Club use the court.In 2013 there were fears that the club would be sold to a property developer but it was saved for use as a real tennis club by a consortium of owners. Following the change of ownership the club has been run by Club Director, John Evans. In 2014, the club celebrated 125 years of play and marked the milestone with a nine day celebration, which included tournaments and a black tie ball.In 2015 the club hosted the IRTPA Championships.

The Maidenhead Waterways are a system of canals in Maidenhead, England. Formerly disused, plans to restore and upgrade them were announced in 2011. The works would initially make the waterways navigable by small craft, and over time by larger craft, as limitations to navigation are gradually removed. Running south from the Thames near Cliveden, the channel divides into York Stream - passing under the historic Chapel Arches - and Moor Cut which crosses Town Moor. The channels re-join at Green Lane where they become Bray Cut, before returning to the Thames by Bray Marina. As a side channel of the Thames, the waterway has a perpetual right of public navigation, which cannot be extinguished by lack of use.

Old Field at Bray, Berkshire was a noted cricket ground in the late 18th century. It was used as the venue for four first-class matches between 1792 and 1795 in addition to several minor matches.Bray is near Maidenhead and the ground was the home venue of Maidenhead Cricket Club when it was founded in the second half of the 18th century. It was used for first-class matches by the Berkshire county team which was very strong at that time. The name of the venue has also been given as "Old Field, Bray" but the designation "Oldfield Bray" is given by Scores and Biographies which also calls the Berkshire team "Oldfield" in one match.

Maidenhead Golf Club is a golf club, located in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. It was established in 1896. On 16 July 2016, the club signed an agreement with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, agreeing to sell back its 24-year lease early, thus paving the way for up to 1500 homes.

Bray, occasionally Bray on Thames, is a suburban village and civil parish in the English county of Berkshire. It sits on the banks of the River Thames, to the southeast of Maidenhead of which it is a suburb. The village is mentioned in the comedic song "The Vicar of Bray". Bray contains two of the eight three-Michelin-starred restaurants in the United Kingdom and has several large business premises including Bray Studios at Water Oakley, where the first series of Hammer Horror films were produced.

The Waterside Inn, located in Bray, Berkshire, England, is a restaurant founded by the brothers Michel and Albert Roux after the success of Le Gavroche. It is currently run by Michel's son, Alain. The restaurant has three Michelin stars, and in 2010 it became the first restaurant outside France to retain all three stars for twenty-five years.

York Road is a football stadium in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. The home ground of Maidenhead United, it is acknowledged by The Football Association and FIFA to be the oldest continuously-used senior association football ground in the world by the same club, having been home to the club since 1871. A blue plaque commemorating this is placed just inside the home turnstiles on the York Road side of the ground.
