The Dr. von Hauner Children's Hospital or Dr. von Haunersches Kinderspital is the pediatric clinic and polyclinic of the LMU Klinikum in Munich, Germany. It is located at the Campus Innenstadt (City Center). The hospital combines general pediatric and pediatric surgery. The hospital has 180 beds in total, 119 pediatric beds with 61 additional beds for pediatric surgery. Both hospitals also offer multiple subspecialty services. They have a combined staff of over 500 people.

The large festival tents at the Oktoberfest, often referred to as beer tents, are operated by individual Wiesn hosts, many of them long-established family businesses. Several tents are linked to Munich’s major breweries. Construction usually begins three months before the festival.

St. Andreas is a church and former parish in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It was built from 1952 to 1953 as one of the first modern church buildings in Munich after World War II, designed by Ernst Maria Lang.

The LMU Klinikum (until 2020 Klinikum der Universität München) is the merged hospital complex of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), including the Campus Innenstadt in the city center and the Campus Großhadern in Hadern. The hospital houses more than 2000 beds with 48 clinics, institutes and departments, making it one of the largest hospitals in Europe. In 2015, the Ludwig Maximilian University was ranked the leading German university in the subject area "Clinical, pre-clinical and health" according to the Times Higher Education World University Ranking.

Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt (Central Bavarian: Ludwigsvorstod-Isarvorstod) is one of the boroughs of Munich, Germany. It consists of the districts Ludwigsvorstadt, located south of Munich Hauptbahnhof and east of the Theresienwiese, and Isarvorstadt, which is north-west of the River Isar and southeast of Munich's Old Town. The Lindwurmstraße serves as a divider for the two districts. The population is estimated to be 54,049, according to the 2015 census.

The Alter Südfriedhof (Old South Cemetery) also known as "Alter Südlicher Friedhof" is a cemetery in Munich, Germany. It was founded by Duke Albrecht V as a plague cemetery in 1563 about half a kilometer south of the Sendlinger Gate between Thalkirchner and Pestalozzistraße.

The Bahnwärter Thiel is a techno club, music venue and alternative cultural center in Munich, Germany. It is named after the novella "Bahnwärter Thiel" by German author Gerhart Hauptmann.

Poccistraße is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U3 and U6. It was named after Count Franz Pocci.

Theresienwiese is a station of Munich U-Bahn on the U4 and U5 line. It is the closest station to the Oktoberfest grounds on the Theresienwiese. During Oktoberfest, the station handles 21,000 passengers per hour each direction.

München Süd (Munich South station) is a disused railway station and a railway goods station in the Munich borough of Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt. The train service was withdrawn on 1 July 1985; in 2005 the last buildings were demolished to make room for office buildings. The station is located on the South Ring (Südring), connecting Munich Central Station with Munich East. The public transport is now handled by Poccistraße Munich U-Bahn station, located to the west of the old railway station. The Isar Valley Railway used to start at the Südbahnhof, going via München Isartalbahnhof (Munich Isar Valley station) and Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof railway station towards Wolfratshausen and Bichl. During the planning studies of the second Munich S-Bahn Stammstrecke route, one of the several routes considered was the South Ring. However, the South Ring concept was abandoned to be "inefficient" in term of travel time between Munich Hauptbahnhof and Munich Ostbahnhof due to S-Bahn trains stopping at Hauptbahnhof then reverse its direction toward the South Ring or western destinations. When the Munich city council and state government of Bavaria approved the construction of new Munich U-Bahn U9/U29 bypass line in 2019, one of the concepts was building a new "superstation" combining the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and regional train services to be built at South Ring and Lindwurmstraße. The plan called for the closure of the current Poccistraße and Implerstraße subway stations and construction of a new four-track station underneath the Südring, serving the U3, U9, and U29, and connecting to the new aboveground station serving regional trains and possibly the S-Bahn if the future S-Bahn-Ring is approved. The new U-Bahn station would be called Impler-/Poccistraße to differentiate it from the current U3/U6 – Implerstraße and Poccistraße stations. If the aboveground station is constructed, no official name, be it Münchner Südbahnhof or Impler-/Poccistraße Bahnhof, has been assigned.

Theresienwiese is an open space in the Munich borough of Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt. It serves as the official ground of the Munich Oktoberfest. A space of 420,000 square metres (4,500,000 sq ft), it is bordered in the west by the Ruhmeshalle and the Bavaria statue, symbolizing the State of Bavaria, and in the east by Esperantoplatz, a square named for the international language Esperanto. There, a memorial commemorates the victims of the 1980 Oktoberfest bombing. Bavariaring, an orbital road, provides access to visiting traffic. In the north the towers of the Paulskirche are visible.
