Yealm River Lifeboat Station

Warren Point is a promontory in South Devon, located southeast of Plymouth. The Warren Point foot ferry links Wembury, on the western side of the River Yealm, to both Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo on the eastern side of the river. This crossing is popular with hikers walking along the South West Coast Path.

Noss Mayo is a village in the civil parish of Newton and Noss in the South Hams district of Devon, England, 6 miles (10 km) south-east of Plymouth, one mile (1.6 km) inland on the southern bank of Newton Creek, an arm of the estuary of the River Yealm. On the opposite, northern, bank of the creek is Newton Ferrers. The first documentary reference of Noss Mayo was in 1286 as Nesse Matheu. The manor here was held by Matheu son of John from 1284 to 1309.The village's church, dedicated to Saint Peter, was built in 1880–1882 at the expense of Edward Baring, 1st Baron Revelstoke (head of Barings Bank) to a design by James Piers St Aubyn. It took over from the Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman, Revelstoke, which was built in 1226, on the coast one mile (1.6 km) to the south.

Casa del Rio ("House on the River") is an Art Deco house built in 1936 to a Spanish theme, on the banks of the river Yealm at Newton Ferrers, South Hams, Devon, England.Once owned by the Berkertex family, the house was commissioned by the baker Walter Price, who had visited California in the 1920s, to research the bread trade there, and had met Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford at their house, Pickfair, which served as Price's inspiration.The house's features include a marble staircase made to look like a piano keyboard, and an outdoor swimming pool, since filled in and grassed over. The exterior is white stucco. A basement bar, pool room and cinema have been added in modern times, in the former garage.As of 2010, the house was available to rent as a holiday residence sleeping 20. The former servants' quarters are now a separate, ten-bedroom family home. In 2013, a full episode of the BBC programme "Art Deco Icons", presented by David Heathcote, featured the house.

St Peter's Church is a Church of England parish church in Noss Mayo, Devon, England. It was constructed in 1880–82 and designed by the London architect James Piers St Aubyn. St Peter's has been Grade II* listed since 1960.

Holy Cross Church is a Church of England parish church in Newton Ferrers, Devon, England. The existing church has 13th-century origins, with a major restoration and rebuild of 1885–86. Holy Cross has been a Grade I listed building since 1960.

The Yealm is a river in Devon in England that rises 430 m (1,410 ft) above sea level on the Stall Moor mires of south Dartmoor and travels 12 miles (19 km) to the sea, passing through Cornwood, Lee Mill and Yealmpton, a mid-sized village with a population of c.2,000 which is its largest settlement, before reaching its estuary which forms a ria bounded on its western side by Wembury. A deep inlet of this ria forms the waterfront to Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo on its eastern side.

Newton Ferrers is a village and former manor, civil and ecclesiastical parish, now in the parish of Newton and Noss, in the South Hams district, in the county of Devon, England. It is situated on a creek of the River Yealm estuary, about 6 miles (10 km) south-east of the City of Plymouth. It lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. According to the United Kingdom Census 2011 the population of the village of Newton Ferrers was 1,268 and that of the electoral ward of Newton and Noss was 1,814.

Wembury Marine Centre is situated in the small village of Wembury, near Plymouth. Run by Devon Wildlife Trust, it holds rockpool rambles throughout the summer months, educating some 20,000 people each year about the importance of marine life and the need to protect it. The area is designated a Special Area of Conservation and a Voluntary Marine Conservation Area. Wembury Marine Centre lies at the heart of the Wembury Voluntary Marine Conservation Area and stretches for four miles from Bovisand in the west to Gara Point in the east.

Hillsea Point Rock is an area of the English Channel located 0.5 nm south-east of Hillsea Point, Devon. It consists of seven or eight pinnacles ranging in depth between 25 metres on the sea bed and 2 metres at the surfaceThe one pinnacle at 50°17.337′N 04°02.710′W is split in two, from top to bottom in the north–south line. The crack is narrow at the top but is about 1 metre wide at a depth of about 23 metres providing a "swim through" of about 15 metres for divers.

Wembury is a village on the south coast of Devon, England, very close to Plymouth Sound. Wembury is located south of Plymouth. Wembury is also the name of the peninsula in which the village is situated. The village lies in the administrative district of the South Hams within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The South West Coast Path goes past the coastal end of the town. The National Trust has taken an active role in maintaining the scenic and historic characteristics of the village and its surrounding area The beach is well known for its surfing and rock pooling. Wembury Marine Centre educates visitors about what they can find in the rockpools and how they can help protect and preserve them. The centre is managed by Devon Wildlife Trust and was refurbished in 2006. Basking sharks can be seen in the summer near the Mewstone. There is also Wembury primary school There are three pubs within the Wembury parish; the Eddystone Inn, Mussell Inn and the Odd Wheel (the Oddy). Three shops are also in Wembury; Down Thomas stores, Wembury stores and Wembury Spar. The Spar was a Knighton Store before it was taken over in April 2012. Its electoral ward is called 'Wembury and Brixton'. The ward population at the 2011 census was 4,455.
