Newton and Noss is a civil parish in the South Hams district of Devon, England comprising the villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo and outlying hamlets such as Membland. The population of the parish taken at the 2011 census was 1,814.

Holy Cross Church is a Church of England parish church in Newton Ferrers, Devon, England. The existing church has 13th-century origins, with a major restoration and rebuild of 1885–86. Holy Cross has been a Grade I listed building since 1960.

St Peter's Church is a Church of England parish church in Noss Mayo, Devon, England. It was constructed in 1880–82 and designed by the London architect James Piers St Aubyn. St Peter's has been Grade II* listed since 1960.

Noss Mayo is a village in the civil parish of Newton and Noss in the South Hams district of Devon, England, 6 miles (10 km) south-east of Plymouth, one mile (1.6 km) inland on the southern bank of Newton Creek, an arm of the estuary of the River Yealm. On the opposite, northern, bank of the creek is Newton Ferrers. The first documentary reference of Noss Mayo was in 1286 as Nesse Matheu. The manor here was held by Matheu son of John from 1284 to 1309.The village's church, dedicated to Saint Peter, was built in 1880–1882 at the expense of Edward Baring, 1st Baron Revelstoke (head of Barings Bank) to a design by James Piers St Aubyn. It took over from the Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman, Revelstoke, which was built in 1226, on the coast one mile (1.6 km) to the south.

Casa del Rio ("House on the River") is an Art Deco house built in 1936 to a Spanish theme, on the banks of the river Yealm at Newton Ferrers, South Hams, Devon, England.Once owned by the Berkertex family, the house was commissioned by the baker Walter Price, who had visited California in the 1920s, to research the bread trade there, and had met Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford at their house, Pickfair, which served as Price's inspiration.The house's features include a marble staircase made to look like a piano keyboard, and an outdoor swimming pool, since filled in and grassed over. The exterior is white stucco. A basement bar, pool room and cinema have been added in modern times, in the former garage.As of 2010, the house was available to rent as a holiday residence sleeping 20. The former servants' quarters are now a separate, ten-bedroom family home. In 2013, a full episode of the BBC programme "Art Deco Icons", presented by David Heathcote, featured the house.

Steer Point railway station served the village of Brixton, Devon, England, from 1898 to 1960 on the Plymouth to Yealmpton Branch.

Warren Point is a promontory in South Devon, located southeast of Plymouth. The Warren Point foot ferry links Wembury, on the western side of the River Yealm, to both Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo on the eastern side of the river. This crossing is popular with hikers walking along the South West Coast Path.

The Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman in the village of Noss Mayo, in Devon, England, was built in 1226. It is located in the former civil parish of Revelstoke. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is a redundant church in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It was declared redundant on 6 April 1971, and was vested in the Trust on 28 June 1972.The mediaeval church has Saxon origins with portions being built in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. The aisle and the porch still have their carved wagon roofs; however, the roofs have fallen down over the rest of the building.In 1880–82 a new church, also dedicated to St Peter, was built nearby and this church fell into disrepair. It is still consecrated and occasional services are held in the church during the summer.

Revelstoke is a former civil parish, now in the parish of Newton and Noss, in the South Hams district, in the county of Devon, England. It has a church called Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman. The parish contained the village of Noss Mayo. It was is in the Plympton St Mary district, and is located almost 2 miles south east of Newton Ferrers. In 1931 the civil parish had a population of 347. On the 1 April 1935 the parish was merged to create Newton and Noss.

Hillsea Point Rock is an area of the English Channel located 0.5 nm south-east of Hillsea Point, Devon. It consists of seven or eight pinnacles ranging in depth between 25 metres on the sea bed and 2 metres at the surfaceThe one pinnacle at 50°17.337′N 04°02.710′W is split in two, from top to bottom in the north–south line. The crack is narrow at the top but is about 1 metre wide at a depth of about 23 metres providing a "swim through" of about 15 metres for divers.

Puslinch is a small but ancient rural locality to the south of Yealmpton village in the South Hams district of the county of Devon, England. The name Puslich or Posylynch means "Pugh's land".Its most famous landmark is Puslinch House, a Georgian mansion owned for generations by the Yonge family. Previous to that the estate was owned by the Poslylinch, Mohun and Upton families and then from 1718 the Yonges who had the current house built following the marriage of John Yonge and Mary Upton. The earlier medieval house still exists in the grounds as a country cottage. All these families were connected by marriage. The style is said to be that of Christopher Wren. However he almost certainly was not the architect if indeed there was an architect at all. Most likely it was "designed" by a local craftsman who may perhaps have worked under Wren. The following is extracted from Polewhele's History of Devonshire, British Library 942.3/5, first published between 1793 and 1806. "Old Puslinch was inhabited by the family of Uptons or Uppetons, as sometimes spelt for several centuries, till at the beginning of this century it fell into the joint possession of two daughters, Elizabeth and Mary, the latter of whom in this century married James Yonge, surgeon of Plymouth by which means and purchase of the other sisters moiety, he became possessed of the whole, and it has since continued in his family. The above mentioned James Yonge on his marriage to Mary Upton built the house, which is now called Puslinch. It is a large well built brick house, on which was expended 9000 to 10,000 pounds. It has been completed between 60 and 70 years. He purchased also the manor of Puslinch and the perpetuity of the rectory of Newton off the Duke of Leeds. Puslinch House stands on the northern border of the Parish, overlooking the river about a 100 yards to the eastward of the old house, and on a rising ground, and seem about midway from the east and west extreme of the parish. A little detached from the old house stood a chapel of considerable size, as a private chapel: It had been time immemorial been used as an out house for the farm, it is very indifferently built, and was much injured by a large tree falling across it, that it has lately been entirely removed. In all probability a field in the midst of the Puslinch estate and another in that of Collaton containing about 20 acres, was appropriated to the maintenance of the service, one being called Parsons Headon and one being called Parsons Park." Other scenic features include a farm, a chapel, and a bridge over the River Yealm, notable for the extent of shelter that its steep sides and natural topography offer.

Its population is 1207. It has views of the River Yealm. The church is 15th century, with a tower arch 200 years older.
