Blanche Ely High School is a high school located in Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida. The school is named for Blanche Ely, former principal and social activist.In addition to Pompano Beach, Ely serves a portion of Deerfield Beach and a portion of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

Pompano Beach ( POMP-ə-noh) is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States, along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, just north of Fort Lauderdale. The nearby Hillsboro Inlet forms part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 112,046. Located 35 miles (56 km) north of Miami, it is a principal city in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale–West Palm Beach metropolitan area, which was home to an estimated 6,158,824 people in 2017. Pompano Beach Airpark, located within the city, is the home of the Goodyear Blimp Spirit of Innovation.

The Ely Educational Museum, 1500 NW 6 Avenue, Pompano Beach, Florida is located in the Blanche & Joseph Ely House. (The address is sometimes given as 595 NW 15th St.; it is on the corner of the two streets.) The Elys were teachers and leaders in the black community. Blanche Ely High School (formerly Blanche Ely Negro High, and before that Pompano Colored School), where she was principal for many years, was named for her. The city has owned the house since 1997. The museum opened briefly in 2000, but closed in 2007. It reopened in 2019, having received renovation funds from the city of Pompano Beach and the Historical Resources Division of the Florida Department of State. People can "look through archives and research the area's African-American communities with yearbooks, old photographs and other items that were part of the era when Ely and her husband were educators."

Cypress Creek station is a Tri-Rail commuter rail station in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The station is located on North Andrews Way, west of North Andrews Avenue (SR 811) and I-95, and south of West Cypress Creek Road. Originally opened to service June 12, 1989, the station features a park and ride lot along West Cypress Creek Road between North Andrews Avenue and I-95. Another parking lot is located across the tracks at a cul-de-sac named Northwest 59th Court.

Westview Community Cemetery is a historic African-American cemetery in Pompano Beach, Florida. It was created in 1952 during segregation when African-Americans could not be buried together with whites in Florida. the land for the cemetery was donated by Paul Hunter, Sr., a local businessman, to accommodate the interment of African-Americans in Pompano Beach. It is the final resting place of Esther Rolle, actress famous for the 1970s sitcom Good Times and her sister Estelle Evans, from the 1962 movie To Kill a Mockingbird.

Kester Cottages at Founder's Park is a historic site operated by the Pompano Beach Historical Society in Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida. The site includes a local history museum and exhibits from the late 1930s. They constitute the Pompano Beach Historical Museum. The cottages are two of the perhaps 150 built in Pompano Beach by William L. Kester in the 1930s. 25 feet (7.6 m) by 35 feet (11 m), they were sturdy and economical. All were one story and painted white, with shutters decorated with the four symbols (♠♣♥♦) from a deck of cards. The price was $950. Two cottages were donated to the Pompano Beach Historical Society in 1974. They have been moved from their original locations to Founders Park, and serve as museums of past life in Pompano Beach.They are open to the public by appointment.

Calvary Christian Academy (CCA) is a private Christian school located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. It was established as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale in 2000. CCA provides education from Pre-K3 through 12th grade. A full-time daycare is also operated all year. The school is accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International. The student population totals to more than 1,900 and the student teacher ratio is 12:1.

Fort Lauderdale Stadium was a baseball stadium located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida next to Lockhart Stadium. The stadium was demolished in June 2019 as part of the construction of Inter Miami CF Stadium for Inter Miami CF.The New York Yankees announced in March 1961 that they would move spring training from St. Petersburg, Florida to Fort Lauderdale where a new stadium would be build for the team at an estimated cost of $500,000 with 4,000 covered seats and 4,000 bleacher seats.The Yankees trained at the stadium between 1962 and 1995. The Fort Lauderdale Yankees of the minor league Florida State League played home games in the stadium from 1962 through 1992. The Fort Lauderdale Red Sox played home games there in 1993, after an unsuccessful attempt to move from Winter Haven to Fort Myers (they ended up the following year in Sarasota). The Baltimore Orioles held spring training at the stadium from 1996 to 2009.Fort Lauderdale Stadium was last leased to Traffic Sports USA (owners of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers) in June 2011.

Coconut Creek High School is a high school located in Coconut Creek, Florida, which teaches grades 9–12. Coconut Creek High serves: southern Coconut Creek, and parts of Margate, North Lauderdale, and Pompano Beach. The school is a part of the Broward County School District. It opened in 1970.

The Sample-McDougald House (also known as the Sample Estate or Pinehaven) is a 4,700 square feet (440 m2) historic home in Pompano Beach, Florida, built in 1916. It is currently located at 450 Northeast 10th Street, but was originally built on Dixie Highway and moved to its present location by the Sample-McDougald House Preservation Society in 2001. On September 15, 2004, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The house is open as a house museum of pioneer South Florida lifestyle. The house grounds are Centennial Park, maintained by the city of Pompano Beach.

Northeast High School is a high school in Oakland Park, Florida. The school is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district. Northeast High School is an all magnet school with three specialties: Biotechnology, Latin and Alternative Energy. All students must choose one of the three magnet programs to enroll in, and this determines several courses that the students will take. It serves: much of Oakland Park, Sea Ranch Lakes, a portion of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, sections of Fort Lauderdale, a portion of Tamarac, and a portion of North Lauderdale east of Florida's Turnpike.
