Festival Flea Market Mall is an indoor flea market mall located in Pompano Beach, Florida. The established flea market used to be a Pompano outlet mall prior to its transformation into a flea market. Festival Flea Market Mall is now a private company established in 1991 and incorporated in Florida. Current estimates show this company employs a staff of approximately 50 to 99 employees.The mall opened as Pompano Outlet Mall in 1986, and was put into foreclosure only two years after it opened. By 1989 the original outlet mall had closed entirely save for a movie theater. After a failed attempt to reopen it in 1990 under the name Broward Crossing, it was purchased by Shooster Properties and reopened in 1991 as a flea market mall.Festival Flea Market Mall is located at 2900 West Sample Road, two miles west of I-95 at the Florida Turnpike. The mall itself is over a quarter-mile long and features over 800 stores with name brand merchandise at below outlet prices Festival receives visitors from all over the world and is housed in a 400,000 sq. ft. building that features booths and kiosks that sell designer jewelry, electronics, clothes, and shoes.

Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park, more commonly known simply as Pompano Park, is a standardbred harness racing track and casino in Pompano Beach, Florida. It is billed as "The Winter Home of Harness Racing," as its tropical South Florida location makes it an ideal alternative for horsemen, when most of the racetracks to the north are subject to racing in snow, ice and bitter cold conditions. The track operates its live racing meet for about ten months out of every year, with a short break during the last half of June through the second week in August. Like most racetracks, Pompano simulcasts horse races from all over the US and Canada, allowing its patrons to wager on racing approximately 363 days per year. Pompano Park is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment (formerly Eldorado Resorts). The track has been converted into a racino with slot machines. It currently offers live poker games, under betting limitations imposed by Florida law. In 2018, Eldorado announced a joint venture with the Cordish Companies to develop the area surrounding Pompano Park with a mixed-use project including retail, dining, office, residential, and hotel elements.In 2022, it will be renamed Harrah's.

Westview Community Cemetery is a historic African-American cemetery in Pompano Beach, Florida. It was created in 1952 during segregation when African-Americans could not be buried together with whites in Florida. the land for the cemetery was donated by Paul Hunter, Sr., a local businessman, to accommodate the interment of African-Americans in Pompano Beach. It is the final resting place of Esther Rolle, actress famous for the 1970s sitcom Good Times and her sister Estelle Evans, from the 1962 movie To Kill a Mockingbird.

The Promenade at Coconut Creek is a 23-acre (93,000 m2) open-air upscale shopping center in Coconut Creek, Florida, a suburban city in Broward County. This LEED pre-certified development opened in November 2008.Notably, a 75,000-square-foot (7,000 m2) Class A office building exists on the site with tenants that include Allstate Insurance, which occupies 33,810 square feet (3,141 m2) of the building. In addition to numerous available parking spaces, the center also has two parking garages, one two stories tall, whereas the other has three. The center also offers one EV charger.

Palm Aire, Florida was an unincorporated census-designated place in Broward County, Florida consisting of residential property, commercial businesses, and four golf courses. Palm Aire describes both Palm Aire Village, a collection of single-family houses, and Palm Aire Country Club, a 5,000-acre (20 km2) property with condominiums, villas, estate homes, and four golf courses. It is now part of the cities of Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach.

Monarch Hill Renewable Energy Park, colloquially known as Mount Trashmore, is a 225-foot high (69 m) landfill site located in an unincorporated area of northern Broward County, Florida, bordered by the cities of Pompano Beach, Coconut Creek, and Deerfield Beach, alongside the east side of Florida's Turnpike between mile markers 69 and 70. It is owned by Waste Management, Inc. The trash mountain is just a hoax. There is no trash under the hill and it is filled with only dirt and soil. It currently takes in an average of 3,500 tons of trash daily and has the capacity to accept 10,000 tons of trash daily. The site has long emitted foul odors into the air of neighboring Coconut Creek. Complaints from the city in the 1990s resulted in Waste Management being fined for violating air standards. The company attempted to alleviate the problem by covering the garbage with extra dirt and spraying deodorizer from 55-gallon drums.In 2008, Waste Management withdrew its application to increase the height of the landfill from 225 feet to 280 feet. In 2011, Waste Management renamed the site the "Monarch Hill Renewable Energy Park." In 2010, after Coconut Creek threatened a lawsuit, Waste Management agreed that particularly odorous trash, such as food and other materials that decay, would no longer go into the landfill after three years. After Waste Management received a series of warnings from Broward County in 2012, it also agreed to place a cap over 10 acres of the landfill, spread 18 inches of soil over trash instead of the required 6 inches, employ greater use of odor-neutralizing chemicals, and pay over $100,000 in fines and costs. Nevertheless, by 2013, Waste Management had accumulated $1.6 million in fines, and Coconut Creek was still plagued by foul odors from Monarch Hill.In 2011, Monarch Hill was used as filming location for the film Rock of Ages (2012). Doubling for Mount Lee in Los Angeles, a 20-foot tall replica of the Hollywood Sign was built on the southwest area of the hill for the filming of a scene from the film. The set was taken down after filming concluded.
