Silberhornstraße station

SM U-1, also known in English as the German Type U 1 submarine, was the first U-boat class of the U-boat series of submarines produced for the German Empire's Imperial German Navy. Only one was built. The U-1 was constructed by Germaniawerft in Kiel and was commissioned on 14 December 1906. When World War I began in 1914, the U-1 was deemed obsolete and was used only for training until 19 February 1919, when it was struck by another vessel while on an exercise.

The Nockherstraße is a road located in the south of Au-Haidhausen, the 5th district of Munich, Germany. The former suburb of Au is located in the original flooding area of the Isar. The 500-meter-long road runs between the end of the Ohlmüllerstraße (beginning of the street Am Nockherberg) and the Kolumbusplatz at the foot of the Isar river terrace. About 400 people live in Nockherstraße.

Nockherberg is the name of a small terrace on the slope of the eastern bank of the Isar in Munich, situated in the urban district of Au. An annual beer festival rich in tradition takes place there in the Paulaner Brewery - the Salvator-Ausschank auf dem Nockherberg The name of the raised terrace is often used synonymously for this festival or its opening event, the tapping of the first barrel of a strong, seasonal beer (Starkbieranstich).

Städtisches Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße (also known as Grünwalder Stadion and Sechzger Stadion) is a football stadium in Munich, Germany. It was built in 1911 and was the home ground for 1860 Munich until 1995. Local rival Bayern Munich also played in the stadium from 1926 until 1972, when they moved to the new Olympiastadion. It is the home ground of the second teams and the U–19 teams of Bayern and 1860. As of the start of the 2013–14 Bundesliga season, FC Bayern Munich (women) also play their home matches at the ground. Since 1860 Munich was relegated from 2. Bundesliga (second tier) to Regionalliga Bayern (fourth tier) at the end of the 2016/2017 season, the senior team returned to the stadium and have played there ever since. For the 2018/19 season, 1860's first season back in the 3. Liga following promotion from the fourth tier Regionalliga Bayern, the stadium’s capacity was 15,000. 1860 regularly sell out home matches in what is regarded as the club’s spiritual home at ‘Sechszigerstadion’ and the stadium is easily accessible on public transport from Munich city centre. The stadium is known for its curved western terrace known as the Westkurve where currently 9,000 1860 fans stand creating an impressive atmosphere. Bayern Munich II also play at the stadium but only open the covered seated Nordtribune to home fans for matches. Following their promotion to the third tier for the 2019/20 3. Liga season, Bayern Munich II are now in the same league as 1860, leading to the first Munich city derbies in several years. In 2020, Türkgücü München announced they would become the third 3. Liga tenants to play at the stadium should they secure promotion which is likely to cause fixture congestion in the future. The largest crowd was 58,560 in 1948 at a game between 1860 Munich and 1. FC Nürnberg. The 15,000 capacity Grünwalder Stadion no longer meets the requirements for the 2. Bundesliga meaning that tenants may need to move to the Olympiastadion or another ground upon promotion from the 3. Liga. The Monty Python sketch The Philosophers' Football Match, though pretending to be in the Olympiastadion, was filmed in this stadium.

Untersbergstraße is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U2 and U7. It is located in Giesing.

Paulaner is a German brewery, established in 1634 in Munich by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au cloister. The mendicant order and the brewery are named after Francis of Paola, the founder of the order. Paulaner is one of the six breweries who provide beer for Oktoberfest. Paulaner ranks number six among Germany's best-selling beers.

Wettersteinplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1. The station is also served by routes and of the Munich tramway.

Au is a district in the south eastern plain tract of the German city of Munich in Bavaria. Au extends from the Deutsches Museum in the north and along the Isar up to Wittelsbacherbrücke (Wittelsbacher Bridge) in the south. In the centre of the area the Auer Dult takes place three times a year on the Mariahilfplatz, which is the largest annual market in Munich. Bordering boroughs of the city are Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt and Altstadt-Lehel on the western side of the Isar, Untergiesing-Harlaching in the south and Giesing in the south-east. The Haidhausen district lies to the east and along with Au, forms the Au-Haidhausen borough of the city. Au was first documented on 12 December 1340 as "Awe ze Gysingen", with Awe meaning "Land on water". In 1808 Au was made a town as Vorstadt Au ("Suburb of Au"). In 1818, along with Untergiesing (what the settlement at Nockherberg had been referred to as), Au formed its own urban municipality. On 1 October 1854 the district was incorporated into Munich. Hans-Georg Schwarzenbeck, a 1974 World Cup champion has operated a stationery shop in Au for over 20 years. The operatic soprano Clara Vespermann (1799–1827) was born in Hau.

The Ostfriedhof (Eastern Cemetery) in Munich, situated in the district of Obergiesing, was established in 1821 and is still in use. It contains an area of more than 30 hectares and approximately 34,700 burial plots. The buildings were constructed between 1894 and 1900 to plans by Hans Grässel. In 1929 a crematorium was opened. The bodies of thousands of opponents of the National Socialist régime were cremated here in the years between 1933 and 1945, and their ashes mostly disposed of without memorial. These included people executed in Stadelheim Prison, victims of the concentration camps Dachau, Birkenau and Auschwitz, and of the Aktion T4 campaign. In 1946 the bodies of several of those condemned to death at the Nuremberg War Crimes trials including Hermann Göring were cremated here, and the ashes scattered.

Candidplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1 line of the Munich U-Bahn system. The station is named for the Flemish mannerist painter Peter Candid, who entered employ in Munich in 1586, producing notable artworks for the Munich Residenz. The station is notable for the decorative scheme applied to the outer walls, which evoke a rainbow.

St.-Quirin-Platz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1 line of the Munich U-Bahn system.
