Spoorwijk is a residential neighbourhood in the Laak district of The Hague, Netherlands. Its name, literally rail neighbourhood or track neighbourhood, originated from the fact that the area borders the Amsterdam–Haarlem–Rotterdam railway on the west. The neighbourhood has 4,161 inhabitants and covers an area of 33,3 ha.

Rijswijk is a railway station located in Rijswijk in the suburbs of The Hague, Netherlands. The station was opened on 3 June 1847 and is located on the Amsterdam–Rotterdam railway, between The Hague and Rotterdam. It was later enlarged, and then closed in 1938. In 1965 it opened in a different location. The station has been in a tunnel since 1996, with four tracks and four platforms. The northern entrance is a modern glass pyramid protruding from the ground, not unlike that of the Louvre, while the southern entrance, on Winston Churchilllaan, is combined with a local bus and tram station. In May 2016, traveling organisation Rover held a survey in which Rijswijk came in as the most uncomfortable railway station in the Netherlands.

Den Haag Moerwijk is a railway station in the Moerwijk district of The Hague, in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. The railway station was opened on 2 June 1996.

Imko Binnerts is a defunct restaurant located in the Grand Winston Hotel in Rijswijk, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in both 2005 and 2006.Head chef of the restaurant was Imko Binnerts. He is a chef specializing in fresh fish and seafood. Binnerts left the restaurant in 2006, because he was not feeling in the right spot. He moved to "Schmidt Zeevis", a major fish supplier in Rotterdam.Before starting as an employee at the Grand Winston Hotel, he had his own restaurant Imko's in IJmuiden that went bankrupt in 2004.

The Needle of Ryswick or Rijswijk (Dutch: Naald van Rijswijk) is an obelisk in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, commemorating the Treaty of Ryswick (September 1697). The monument is at the location of the Huis ter Nieuwburg, the palace where the peace treaty was signed. It was built of materials from Huis ter Nieuwburg in 1792 to 1794. The palace was demolished in 1790 due to neglect.

Rijswijk (Dutch: [ˈrɛisʋɛik] (listen)), formerly known as Ryswick ( RIZ-wik) in English, is a city and municipality in the Western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Its population was 53,467 in 2019, and it has an area of 14.49 km2 (5.59 sq mi), 0.53 km2 (0.20 sq mi) of which is water. The municipality also includes the former villages 't Haantje and Sion, currently also known as Rijswijk-Buiten.

De Broodfabriek (English: The Bread Factory) is an exhibition and convention center in the Dutch city of Rijswijk. It was founded in 1996 by Henk van der Straaten (co-founder of the former Konmar supermarket chain) as the Darling Market, a recreation of the Paddy's Markets in Haymarket, near Sydney's Darling Harbour, which he encountered during a trip to Australia).In later years it became known as a venue for many fairs such as the Gothic & Fantasy Beurs (English: Gothic & Fantasy Fair) which is held there since 2003 (as of October 2018 renamed Fantasy Fest.) Since 2019 the festival has expanded from one to two music stages that host international folk artists. The main stage, is Fantasy Fest Stage, presenting larger amplified acts. The smaller stage is the 'Friendly Folk Stage', sponsored by local record label, Friendly Folk Records, it serves as a podium for smaller acoustic acts. The exhibition part of the venue later became known as Expo Rijswijk and after that Beurshal Haaglanden. The current name refers to the building's previous use as a bread factory of Meneba.The Darling Market was discontinued in 2010.

Paul van Waarden is a defunct restaurant in Rijswijk, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 2002 and retained that rating until 2012. The loss of the Michelin star for 2013 was a real shock for the restaurant and they requested a discussion with Michelin. The restaurant closed due to a bankruptcy.For 2013, GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 13 out of 20 points.Head chef of Paul van Waarden was Paul van Waarden.Originally, the restaurant was located in Wassenaar and traded under the name De keuken van Waarden. In 2001, the restaurant moved to Rijswijk and changed its name.

The Netherlands Patent Office (Dutch: Octrooicentrum Nederland) is the patent office of the Netherlands. It is an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. The agency is located in the premises of the European Patent Office (EPO), in Rijswijk, near The Hague. The Netherlands Patent Office grants patents in the Netherlands and deals with European patents validated in the Netherlands. It assumes its functions from the rijksoctrooiwet (Royal Patent Act). Johannes Bob van Benthem was President of the Netherlands Patent Office from 1968 to 1977. Before March 24, 2005, the Netherlands Patent Office was known as the Netherlands Industrial Property Office.

The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Dutch: De Haagse Hogeschool), abbreviated THUAS, is a university of applied sciences with its campuses located in and around The Hague in the Randstad metropolitan region in the west of the Netherlands. The city is the Dutch seat of government and home to many major international legal, security and peace institutions. Since the university was founded in 1987 it has expanded to four campuses in the near-side cities of The Hague, Delft and Zoetermeer. The main campus in The Hague is located behind The Hague Hollands Spoor railway station by the Laakhaven Canal. The Hague University of Applied Sciences is known for the international characteristic of its student population with around 124 nationalities represented on campus. It operates partnerships with companies, public bodies and other organisations in the Haaglanden region, as well as international institutions. The university also offers English proficiency training through its English Language Preparatory School, work placements and international exchanges as part of its international remit. Research activity is high with a range of postgraduate and continuing professional education courses. There are two types of universities in Dutch higher education: traditional research universities and universities of applied sciences. The Hague University of Applied Sciences falls under the latter category. Research universities are mainly responsible for offering research-oriented courses, whereas universities of applied sciences offer courses that focus on the practical application of arts and sciences with a focus on training and career preparation.

Laak (Dutch pronunciation: [laːk]) is district of The Hague, Netherlands. With a population of 40,222 and an area of 4.3 square kilometres (1.7 sq mi), it is the smallest and least populous of the city's eight districts. The district is officially divided into three neighbourhoods: Laakkwartier, Spoorwijk and Binckhorst. The Hague University of Applied Sciences can be found in Laak. The municipality of The Hague bought the area from the municipality of Rijswijk in 1844. The Amsterdam–Haarlem–Rotterdam railway was constructed in this polder, together with the railway station Hollands Spoor. In the period between 1915 and 1935, the municipality developed a residential neighbourhood in Laak, designed by Dutch architect Berlage.

Den Haag HS (English: The Hague HS), an abbreviation of the original name Den Haag Hollands Spoor (The Hague Holland Rail), is the oldest train station in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands, located on the Amsterdam–Haarlem–Rotterdam railway.
