Imko Binnerts is a defunct restaurant located in the Grand Winston Hotel in Rijswijk, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in both 2005 and 2006.Head chef of the restaurant was Imko Binnerts. He is a chef specializing in fresh fish and seafood. Binnerts left the restaurant in 2006, because he was not feeling in the right spot. He moved to "Schmidt Zeevis", a major fish supplier in Rotterdam.Before starting as an employee at the Grand Winston Hotel, he had his own restaurant Imko's in IJmuiden that went bankrupt in 2004.

The Netherlands Patent Office (Dutch: Octrooicentrum Nederland) is the patent office of the Netherlands. It is an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. The agency is located in the premises of the European Patent Office (EPO), in Rijswijk, near The Hague. The Netherlands Patent Office grants patents in the Netherlands and deals with European patents validated in the Netherlands. It assumes its functions from the rijksoctrooiwet (Royal Patent Act). Johannes Bob van Benthem was President of the Netherlands Patent Office from 1968 to 1977. Before March 24, 2005, the Netherlands Patent Office was known as the Netherlands Industrial Property Office.

Rijswijk is a railway station located in Rijswijk in the suburbs of The Hague, Netherlands. The station was opened on 3 June 1847 and is located on the Amsterdam–Rotterdam railway, between The Hague and Rotterdam. It was later enlarged, and then closed in 1938. In 1965 it opened in a different location. The station has been in a tunnel since 1996, with four tracks and four platforms. The northern entrance is a modern glass pyramid protruding from the ground, not unlike that of the Louvre, while the southern entrance, on Winston Churchilllaan, is combined with a local bus and tram station. In May 2016, traveling organisation Rover held a survey in which Rijswijk came in as the most uncomfortable railway station in the Netherlands.

The Biomedical Primate Research Centre (BPRC) is Europe's largest primate animal testing research centre. It is a scientific research institute that performs research that contributes to the identification and development of new medicines against deadly diseases. It is located in Rijswijk (South Holland) and employs about 110 people. The BPRC is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Before it became an independent foundation on December 7, 1994, it was part of the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research. The main research areas are Immunobiology, Parasitology, Virology, Ethology and Alternatives for Animal Research. The BPRC houses rhesus macaques and marmosets to be used in biomedical research involving AIDS, malaria, hepatitis, tuberculosis and auto-immune diseases. In 2002 the Dutch government forbade any further testing on chimpanzees, though it allowed trials already in progress to end. In 2015, BPRC was reported to use about 200 monkeys a year for experiments. The Needle of Ryswick or Rijswijk (Dutch: Naald van Rijswijk) is an obelisk in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, commemorating the Treaty of Ryswick (September 1697). The monument is at the location of the Huis ter Nieuwburg, the palace where the peace treaty was signed. It was built of materials from Huis ter Nieuwburg in 1792 to 1794. The palace was demolished in 1790 due to neglect.

A business conflict with his parents, also part owner of the restaurant, forced him to leave. After a stint at De Librije, where he had trained before, he opened Niven in the building that used to house Michelin starred 't Ganzenest. The official opening was performed by then mayor of Rijswijk mrs. G.W. van der Wel-Markerink on 11 May 2011.Niven was the first Michelin starred restaurant in the Netherlands to land a deal with discount-website Groupon. Besides being highly successful for chef Kunz, he sold 3500 covers in ten hours, it paved the way for other Michelin starred restaurants to land deals with Groupon.On the first of April 2020 it was announced that Niven went bankrupt. This happened during the COVID19-Crisis in 2020 although the crisis and its subsequent lock-down didn't cause Niven to go bankrupt it was the straw that broke the camels back.

't Ganzenest is a defunct restaurant in Rijswijk, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1994 and retained that rating until 2002.The owner and head chef of 't Ganzenest was Harry Visbeen.The restaurant was formerly located in The Hague, at the addresses Groenewegje 75-a and Groenewegje 115. It moved to Rijswijk in 1999.The restaurant closed in 2007, due to financial troubles and the threat of bankruptcy caused by a recession.

The Tuinbouwschool Huis te Lande was a horticultural school in Rijswijk, Netherlands, founded in 1907 by Jacoba Hingst. It was the first and only horticultural school for girls and women in the Netherlands to give girls the opportunity to learn how to grow flowers, fruits and vegetables, as the existing horticultural schools of that time were not accessible to them.

Its name, literally rail neighbourhood or track neighbourhood, originated from the fact that the area borders the Amsterdam–Haarlem–Rotterdam railway on the west. The loss of the Michelin star for 2013 was a real shock for the restaurant and they requested a discussion with Michelin. The restaurant closed due to a bankruptcy.For 2013, GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 13 out of 20 points.Head chef of Paul van Waarden was Paul van Waarden.Originally, the restaurant was located in Wassenaar and traded under the name De keuken van Waarden. In 2001, the restaurant moved to Rijswijk and changed its name.

De Delftse Pauw was a pottery factory from the 17th century located in the north of the city Delft (in the Netherlands) on the Delftweg (close to the Schie). It was one of the few pottery factories which carry on the tradition of handpainted Delft pottery. It was taken over by Heinen Delft Blauw on 1 July 2018, but was declared bankrupt in September 2020.De Delftse Pauw attracted around 135.000 visitors annually.
