Kaiser Creek

Buckhorn Creek is a 2.1 mile long creek in Contra Costa County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It gets its name from the Buckhorn family who settled on the creek in the late 19th century.

The San Antonio Formation is a middle to late Pleistocene (Irvingtonian in the NALMA classification) geologic formation in California. It preserves fossils.

Upper San Leandro Reservoir is an artificial lake in Alameda County and Contra Costa County, California which provides water for the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD). It is impounded by the earth-filled San Leandro Dam on San Leandro Creek, located at the southeast end of the lake. Although it receives some runoff from its local watershed, most of the water is imported via the Mokelumne Aqueduct. The reservoir has a capacity of about 42,000 acre-feet (52,000,000 m3), though its normal volume is about 30,250 acre-feet (37,310,000 m3). The reservoir name includes "Upper" to distinguish it from Lake Chabot, several miles downstream, which was originally known as "Lower San Leandro Reservoir".

Anthony Chabot Regional Park is a regional park in Oakland, Alameda County, California in the United States. It is part of the East Bay Regional Park District system, and covers 5,067 acres (2,051 ha) in the San Leandro Hills adjacent to Oakland, San Leandro and Castro Valley. Popular activities include hiking, cycling and horseback riding. A gun range operated by the Chabot Gun Club was shut down in 2016, following complaints about pollution. The terrain of the park is often steep, consisting of grasslands, chaparral, and eucalyptus groves.

Redwood Creek is an approximately 4 mile-long perennial creek in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is named for the East Bay Redwoods forest where it originates.

Rocky Ridge is a 2,020 ft (620 m) ridge in the Inner Coast Ranges in western Contra Costa County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Being the second-highest mountain in the county, it is visible from much of the surrounding area. The ridge is a very prominent feature in the geography of the towns of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda, California.

The San Leandro Hills are a low mountain range of the Southern Inner California Coast Ranges System, located on the eastern side of the San Francisco Bay. Geologically, they are a southern continuation of the Berkeley Hills on the north. They run along the southeastern city limits of Oakland, extending southeastward above the city of San Leandro and the unincorporated community of Castro Valley. San Leandro Creek drains the canyon along the eastern slope of the hills.

The Oakland Open was a golf tournament in California on the PGA Tour from 1937 to 1944. It was played in Oakland at the Claremont Country Club in 1937 and at the Sequoyah Country Club from 1938 to 1944.At age 25, Ben Hogan was nearly broke and on the verge of quitting the tour in early 1938; he finished sixth at the Oakland Open in late January and continued.

Sequoyah Country Club is an 18 hole, private equity, member-owned golf course and country club in Oakland, California. Founded in 1913, it hosted the Oakland Open from 1938 to 1944 – one of the premier professional golf tournaments on the Pacific coast, which featured prominently in the early golfing careers of Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Jimmy Demaret, and others.

Sequoyah Heights is a smaller part of the Oak Knoll neighborhood that runs alongside the southeastern part of the Oakland hills. The neighborhood borders San Leandro. Sequoyah Heights is one of East Oakland's safer and more well-to-do neighborhoods, and features a religious preschool and the Sequoyah Country Club. Sequoyah Heights neighbors the Grass Valley neighborhood, home of the Oakland Zoo, the Seminary neighborhood and the site of the now closed Oak Knoll Naval Hospital.

Lake Chabot Regional Park is a regional park located in the southern Berkeley Hills in Alameda County, California. It is part of the East Bay Regional Parks system. Lake Chabot is a reservoir located in the park. The northern part of the lake and park lie within the boundary of the City of Oakland, while the southern part lies in an unincorporated area of Alameda County adjacent to Castro Valley and San Leandro. The dam and reservoir's water are part of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) water system.

Las Trampas Peak is a 1,827 ft (557 m) peak in the Inner Coast Ranges in western Contra Costa County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
