Holland Villas Road

The Embassy of Georgia in London is the diplomatic mission of Georgia in the United Kingdom. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were originally established in 1919, effectively terminated after 1921, but restored in 1992 following dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Holland Road is a road in Kensington, London, which connects Kensington High Street with the Holland Park roundabout. The southernmost section is one-way (northbound only, returning via Addison Road) and forms part of the Kensington/Earl's Court one-way system.

Addison Road is a road in London, England, which connects Kensington High Street with Notting Hill and Holland Park Avenue and runs nearby to Holland Park.

Addison Avenue is a street in the Notting Hill area of London. Located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, it runs northwards from Holland Park Avenue to St James's Gardens and St James' Church, crossing Queensdale Road about halfway along. Norland Square is located to its east while Royal Crescent is a little way to the west. A broad, tree-lined avenue, it is largely residential with some commercial properties at the southern end. The smaller Addison Place mews street runs off the western side of the road, looping northwards until it meets Queensdale Road. Addison Avenue is in the wealthy London area of Holland Park.The street, like nearby Addison Road to the south, is named after the early 18th-century writer and politician Joseph Addison who lived at nearby Holland House. The Holland Estate was gradually redeveloped for housing although Addison Avenue was actually built on the adjacent Norland Estate. It was developed during the 1840s by the architect and property developer Robert Cantwell. It was designed with a vista towards St James' Church at the northern end of the street, which was built at the same time.A number of buildings in the street are now Grade II listed, including all those north of Queensdale Road. The houses in the northern part of the street are attributed to F.W. Stent. The street is part of the Norland Conservation Area, designated in 1969. Among the notable former residents was Hugh Carleton Greene (1910–1987), Director-General of the BBC during the 1960s, who is now commemorated by a blue plaque.

Kensington (Olympia) is a combined rail and tube station in Kensington, on the edge of Central London. Services are provided by London Overground, who manage the station, along with Southern and London Underground. It is in Travelcard Zone 2. On the Underground it is the terminus of a short District line branch from Earl's Court, originally built as part of the Middle Circle. On the main-line railway it is on the West London Line from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction, by which trains bypass inner London. The station's name is drawn from its location in Kensington and the adjacent Olympia exhibition centre. The station was originally opened in 1844 by the West London Railway but closed shortly afterwards. It reopened in 1862 and began catering for Great Western services the following year. In 1872 it became part of the Middle Circle train route that bypassed central London. The station was bombed during World War II and subsequently closed. It reopened in 1946 but the limited service to Clapham Junction was recommended for withdrawal in the 1960s Beeching Report. The main-line station was revitalised later in the decade as a terminus for national Motorail, and upgraded again in 1986 to serve a wider range of InterCity destinations. The station's Underground connection after World War II was limited to a shuttle service to and from Earl's Court. With around 0.04 million passenger journeys recorded in 2020, Kensington (Olympia) is the 267th busiest station on the entire Underground network.

Debenham House (or Peacock House) at 8 Addison Road is a large detached house in the Holland Park district of Kensington and Chelsea, W14. Built in the Arts and Crafts style by the architect Halsey Ricardo, it is a Grade I listed building.

Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is a Roman Catholic day secondary school in Holland Park with approximately 950 students.

Tortoises with Triangle and Time is an outdoor bronze sculpture in Holland Park, Kensington, London, England, adjacent to Abbotsbury Road. The work is by the sculptor Wendy Taylor and was created in 2000 to celebrate the Millennium. It features two tortoises and a large triangle that forms a sundial. The sculpture is 549cm height × 660cm width × 619cm depth. It was commissioned by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Sculpture at Goodwood.

Norland Place School is a co-educational independent preparatory school for boys aged 4–8 and girls aged 4–11 in Holland Park, London. The school was founded in 1876 by Emily Lord.

The High Commission for the Republic of Cameroon in London is the diplomatic mission of Cameroon in the United Kingdom.A protest was held outside the embassy in 2013 following the murder of Cameroonian gay-rights activist Eric Lembembe. This led to several more protests in Cameroon, especially in the southern regions.

The 1976 Olympia bombing was a bomb attack on 27 March 1976 carried out by the Provisional IRA at the Olympia exhibition centre in west London. A 2 lb (0.91 kg) bomb exploded in a litter bin at the top of an escalator inside the centre, which at the time was crowded with 20,000 people attending the Daily Mail's Ideal Home Exhibition. 85 people were injured and 4 people lost limbs. One casualty, 79-year-old Rachel Hyams, died from her injuries 21 days later. Police said they received no coded warning from the IRA, but the Sunday Mirror in Manchester said it received a call from the Provisional IRA's “Irish Brigade” claiming responsibility. Due to the outrage caused, the IRA temporarily halted its bombing campaign in Britain.
