Lake Las Vegas is a 320-acre (130 ha) reservoir in Henderson, Nevada with a 3,592-acre (1,454 ha) developed area around it. The area is sometimes referred to as the Lake Las Vegas Resort. It is being developed by 5 companies including Lake at Las Vegas Joint Venture LLC.The area includes three resorts including the Aston MonteLago Village Resort, the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort, and the Hilton Lake Las Vegas.

Reflection Bay Golf Club is located in Henderson, Nevada, United States. It is a public resort golf course in Nevada personally designed by Jack Nicklaus. It hosts the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge tournament benefiting the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The Par- 72 course goes back to 7,261-yard and makes its way through the desert while providing views of Lake Las Vegas.

Tuscany Village is a golf course community located in Henderson, Nevada. It was originally proposed by developer Jim Rhodes in 1995, under the name Palm City. The project was proposed for the former site of the Stewart gravel pit. The surrounding area initially sparked concern about the location's suitability, due to various environmental issues at the time. The site was located near sewage ponds and a longtime manufacturer of chemicals which had contaminated the land. Groundwater was also found to have high radioactive levels. Rhodes graded the property in the late 1990s, but never began construction. His lender became insolvent and he sold the property in 2000 to Commerce Associates, which renamed the project Tuscany Hills. The property and surrounding acreage were designated by Henderson as a redevelopment area, making the project eligible for city funding. After various delays, the Tuscany Golf Club opened in 2003. It is 150 acres (61 hectares), and was designed by Ted Robinson. Rhodes subsequently took back ownership of the course and the undeveloped residential land. Home construction was underway in 2005. Rhodes filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy four years later, and Tuscany was turned over to creditors. At the time, 700 of 2,000 planned homes had been built. Ownership changed several more times, and the golf course was renamed Chimera Golf Club in 2015.

Las Vegas Wash is a 12-mile-long channel (an "arroyo" or "wash") which feeds most of the Las Vegas Valley's excess water into Lake Mead. The wash is sometimes called an urban river, and it exists in its present capacity because of an urban population. The wash also works in a systemic conjunction with the pre-existing wetlands that formed the oasis of the Las Vegas Valley. The wash is fed by urban runoff, shallow ground water, reclaimed water used on parks and golf courses, and stormwater.The wetlands of the Las Vegas Valley act as the kidneys of the environment, cleaning the water that runs through it. The wetlands filter out harmful residues from fertilizers, oils, and other contaminants that can be found on the roadways and in the surrounding desert. Near its terminus at Las Vegas Bay, the wash passes under the man made Lake Las Vegas through two 7-foot pipes.

Basic Academy of International Studies also known as Basic Academy and Basic High School, is a public high school with an embedded magnet high school that is part of the Clark County School District. It was the first high school in Henderson, Nevada, United States.

Las Vegas Bay is a bay at the western edge of Lake Mead in the U.S. state of Nevada. The bay is located within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the northeast of the city of Henderson, Nevada, near the junction of Lake Mead Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard. A public campground and boat access are available in Las Vegas Bay. Low water levels of Lake Mead have rendered the marina there inoperable, and it has moved to the Hemenway Boat Harbor, in the south end of the Boulder Basin. The launch ramp there has also been closed due to the water levels. The bay is the natural discharge point for the Las Vegas Wash.

Gypsum Wash is an ephemeral stream or wash in Clark County, Nevada. Gypsum Wash was originally a tributary of Las Vegas Wash before the formation of Lake Mead which submerged their confluence under Las Vegas Bay. Due to the lowering of the reservoir over recent years Gypsum Wash is once again a tributary of Las Vegas Wash, now exposed at 36°07′04″N 114°50′54″W at an elevation of 1085 feet. When Las Vegas Bay is at its full level, Gypsum Wash flows into Lower Gypsum Wash Cove at 36°07′43″N 114°51′26″W at an elevation of 1,204 feet (367 meters).Gypsum Wash has its source in the Dry Lake Range, at 36°20′45″N 114°52′08″W at an elevation of 3,120 feet (950 meters).

The River Mountains are a mountain range in Clark County, Nevada that demarcate the Las Vegas Watershed from the Lake Mead Watershed.

Clark County Museum is located in Henderson, Nevada and is owned and operated by Clark County. The museum includes the Anna Roberts Parks Exhibit Hall and Heritage Street which contains eight historic buildings from the county. The museum focuses on the history of the southernmost county in Nevada with emphasis on the early Native American inhabitants such as the Paiute people, as well as mining, the impact of the railroads, and gaming. Exhibits include several historic houses as well as a recreated ghost town.

St. Rose Dominican Hospital – Rose de Lima Campus is a 220,000-square-foot (20,000 m2) 10-bed non-profit hospital owned and operated by Dignity Health in Henderson, Nevada. It provides emergency care, diagnostic imaging, and limited general medicine and surgery in-patient care services.

The Water Street District is a redeveloped portion of downtown Henderson, Nevada. It includes stores, restaurants, and office and residential space. It also hosts numerous annual events, including festivals, parades, car shows, and a farmers' market. The area is also home to Henderson's city hall and justice facility. Water Street is the main road in downtown Henderson. Its name is derived from a water main that runs beneath the street; both date back to 1941. Retail in downtown Henderson gradually declined in the 1980s, as other parts of the city saw new development. The Henderson Redevelopment Agency was formed in 1995 to revitalize older areas of the city, with Water Street as the primary focus. In 2002, the city branded the downtown area as the Water Street District. Visitation began to see an uptick in the late 2010s, following various redevelopment projects. The district runs along a one-mile stretch of South Water Street, from the intersections of Ocean Avenue at the south end to Lake Mead Parkway at the north end.

The Pass Casino, formerly the Eldorado Casino, is a casino in the Water Street District, located in downtown Henderson, Nevada. It is owned and operated by DeSimone Gaming. First opened in 1961, it was owned by Boyd Gaming from 1993 to 2020. The casino has over 350 slot machines, 6 table games, and a sportsbook.
