The Hoftoren (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦɔftoːrə(n)], Court Tower), nicknamed De Vulpen ([də ˈvɵlpɛn], The Fountain Pen) is a 29-storey, 141.86-metre-high (465.4 ft) building in The Hague, Netherlands. It is the third-tallest building in the city, and the eighth-tallest in the country. The Hoftoren was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in New York City, and built by Heijmans Bouw BV, and is home to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (the latter having taken up temporary residence in the Hoftoren in 2012) of the Netherlands.

De Kroon (English: The Crown) is a residential and office skyscraper in the Center of The Hague, Netherlands. It is 131.5 metres (431 ft) tall and contains 41 floors, making it the sixth tallest building in the city. It contains 6 floor of office space combined with 13 floors of public housing, and 27 floors of houses for sale. Construction of De Kroon started in 2008 and ended in 2011. It was designed by architectural firm Rapp + Rapp and built by MAB Development BV.

The Monumental Clock [Dutch: Monumentale klok], commonly known as the Zebra clock [Dutch: Zebraklok], is a street clock and work of public art on the Bezuidenhoutseweg street side of the Koningin Julianaplein square, next to Den Haag central railway station in The Hague, Netherlands. It is a local landmark and popular as a meeting-place for people arriving or departing the city by train.It was installed in 1977 by artist Jaap Karman. It stands 8 meters tall, it has three matching sides with moulded plastic faces of black and white stripes indicating the position of the hours, and is internally lit. It has been destroyed by fire and restored twice - a few months after installation and again in 1985. The clock was temporarily removed from 1997 to 2002, and again from 2008 to 2011 for renovations to the square and station precinct.

The Hague City Hall (Stadhuis) is the city hall of The Hague, Netherlands.

The Battle for The Hague (Dutch: Slag om Den Haag) was a battle fought on 10 May 1940 during the Battle of the Netherlands. German Fallschirmjäger units were dropped in and around The Hague to capture Dutch airfields and the city itself. After securing a bridgehead, Nazi Germany had expected the Netherlands to surrender that day. The Germans, however, failed to achieve that objective since their forces had been unable to hold onto their initial gains. That is because the Dutch regrouped and then launched effective counter-attacks. Isolated pockets of German troops, led by Hans von Sponeck, retreated to the nearby dunes, where they were continually pursued and harassed for five days, when Henri Winkelman, the Dutch commander-in-chief, was forced to surrender by major setbacks on other fronts.

The Hague Tram (Dutch: Haagse tram) is a tram network forming part of the public transport system in and around the city of The Hague in South Holland, the Netherlands. Opened in 1864, as of 2018 the network has twelve tram lines, three of which were built to light rail standards and currently operate under the RandstadRail brand. It consists of 117 kilometres of rails and 241 stops, and has been operated by HTM Personenvervoer since 2002, being the successor of N.V. Gemengd Bedrijf Haagsche Tramweg-Maatschappij (01-01-1927 - 11-06-2002) and N.V. Haagsche Tramweg-Maatschappij (HTM) (01-05-1887 - 01-01-1927).

Malieveld (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmaːlivɛlt] (listen), literally "pall-mall field") is a large grass field in the city center of The Hague, Netherlands, located opposite the central train station. The field is widely known in the Netherlands for being the location of many large-scale demonstrations. It is also used for festivals, funfairs, concerts and other big events.

Het Plein (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɦət ˈplɛin]; English: The Square) is a town square in the old city centre of The Hague in the Netherlands. It is located adjacent to the Binnenhof, the meeting place of the States General of the Netherlands; the entrance to the House of Representatives can be found on Plein 2. The Mauritshuis art museum is located on Plein 29.Het Plein was originally a garden, forming a part of the Binnenhof castle, residence of the Counts of Holland. It was used to grow vegetables for the court. The garden was surrounded by a ring of canals and intersected by ditches. As a town square, Het Plein was constructed in 1632 and was inspired by the Place des Vosges in Paris. A statue of William the Silent, made by Dutch sculptor Lodewyk Royer, was installed in the centre of the square in 1848.

The Nationaal Archief (NA) is the national archives of the Netherlands, located in The Hague. It houses collections for the central government, the province of South Holland, and the former County of Holland. There is also material from private institutions and individuals with an association to the Dutch government or the political or social history of the Netherlands. The Nationaal Archief holds the Archives of the Dutch East India Company from 1602–1811, which were, along with related records held by South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme Register in 2003 in recognition of their historical value. Recently, the photographic archives of Spaarnestad Photo were included in the Nationaal Archief. It has been announced that Wikipedia will receive user rights over many photos from these archives.The Netherlands Antilles had a separate Nationaal Archief, which was dissolved when the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles took place. The entrance links to a walkway leading to the sister organizations housed in the same building. The large complex comprises a large apparatus to keep documents stored in optimum conditions, which the NA maintains (with government subsidies) for its sister organizations. The Koninklijke Schouwburg (literally translated: Royal Theater or Royal Playhouse) is a theater in the city center of The Hague. The theater was built in 1766 and has been in use as theater since 1804. From 2017 it is one of the theaters in use by the national theater company Het Nationale Theater, but also other companies perform in the Schouwburg.The main room of the Schouwburg is relatively small for current standards, and can seat 680 people in total with the main room and three balconies. The stage has a 1929 antique revolving stage that is still functional but no longer in use. It is considered one of the most prestigious theaters in the country.

The Royal Library of the Netherlands (Dutch: Koninklijke Bibliotheek or KB; Royal Library) is the national library of the Netherlands, based in The Hague, founded in 1798. The KB collects everything that is published in and concerning the Netherlands, from medieval literature to today's publications. About 7 million publications are stored in the stockrooms, including books, newspapers, magazines and maps. The KB also offers many digital services, such as the national online Library (with e-books and audiobooks), Delpher (millions of digitized pages) and The Memory (about 800,000 images). Since 2015, the KB has played a coordinating role for the network of the public library.

The House of Representatives (Dutch: Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal, pronounced [ˈtʋeːdə ˈkaːmər dɛr ˈstaːtə(ŋ) ˌɣeːnəˈraːl] (listen); commonly referred to as the Tweede Kamer, literally Second Chamber of the States General) is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, the States General, the other one being the Senate. It has 150 seats, which are filled through elections using party-list proportional representation. Generally, the house is located in the Binnenhof in The Hague, however, it has temporarily moved to the former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Bezuidenhoutseweg 67 in the Hague while the Binnenhof is being renovated.
