De Kroon (English: The Crown) is a residential and office skyscraper in the Center of The Hague, Netherlands. It is 131.5 metres (431 ft) tall and contains 41 floors, making it the sixth tallest building in the city. It contains 6 floor of office space combined with 13 floors of public housing, and 27 floors of houses for sale. Construction of De Kroon started in 2008 and ended in 2011. It was designed by architectural firm Rapp + Rapp and built by MAB Development BV.

The Hoftoren (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦɔftoːrə(n)], Court Tower), nicknamed De Vulpen ([də ˈvɵlpɛn], The Fountain Pen) is a 29-storey, 141.86-metre-high (465.4 ft) building in The Hague, Netherlands. It is the third-tallest building in the city, and the eighth-tallest in the country. The Hoftoren was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in New York City, and built by Heijmans Bouw BV, and is home to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (the latter having taken up temporary residence in the Hoftoren in 2012) of the Netherlands.

The Dutch Senior Civil Service (Dutch: Algemene Bestuursdienst, ABD; lit. 'General Administrative Service') comprises the top civil servants of the government of the Netherlands. The managers at director level and above from all ministries are part of the ABD. These include, for example, the secretaries-general (SG), the directors-general (DG), the inspectors-general (IG), and all directors with "integral final responsibility" for people and resources.The ABD Office (Dutch: Bureau ABD) is responsible for the recruitment and selection for managerial positions and for the development of managers and their mutual cooperation. The ABD Office offers development programs to talent within the government and is the point of contact for managers from outside the government who are considering a career within the government service.

The Monumental Clock [Dutch: Monumentale klok], commonly known as the Zebra clock [Dutch: Zebraklok], is a street clock and work of public art on the Bezuidenhoutseweg street side of the Koningin Julianaplein square, next to Den Haag central railway station in The Hague, Netherlands. It is a local landmark and popular as a meeting-place for people arriving or departing the city by train.It was installed in 1977 by artist Jaap Karman. It stands 8 meters tall, it has three matching sides with moulded plastic faces of black and white stripes indicating the position of the hours, and is internally lit. It has been destroyed by fire and restored twice - a few months after installation and again in 1985. The clock was temporarily removed from 1997 to 2002, and again from 2008 to 2011 for renovations to the square and station precinct.

The Nationaal Archief (NA) is the national archives of the Netherlands, located in The Hague. It houses collections for the central government, the province of South Holland, and the former County of Holland. There is also material from private institutions and individuals with an association to the Dutch government or the political or social history of the Netherlands. The Nationaal Archief holds the Archives of the Dutch East India Company from 1602–1811, which were, along with related records held by South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme Register in 2003 in recognition of their historical value. Recently, the photographic archives of Spaarnestad Photo were included in the Nationaal Archief. It has been announced that Wikipedia will receive user rights over many photos from these archives.The Netherlands Antilles had a separate Nationaal Archief, which was dissolved when the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles took place. The entrance links to a walkway leading to the sister organizations housed in the same building. The large complex comprises a large apparatus to keep documents stored in optimum conditions, which the NA maintains (with government subsidies) for its sister organizations. The New Babylon is a high-rise residential complex in The Hague, Netherlands. Built between 2006 and 2013, the complex consists of two main towers standing at 141.8 m (465 ft) tall with 45 floors (City Tower) respectively 101.6 m (333 ft) with 31 floors (Park Tower), with the tallest being the 4th tallest building in The Hague.

The Royal Library of the Netherlands (Dutch: Koninklijke Bibliotheek or KB; Royal Library) is the national library of the Netherlands, based in The Hague, founded in 1798. The KB collects everything that is published in and concerning the Netherlands, from medieval literature to today's publications. About 7 million publications are stored in the stockrooms, including books, newspapers, magazines and maps. The KB also offers many digital services, such as the national online Library (with e-books and audiobooks), Delpher (millions of digitized pages) and The Memory (about 800,000 images). Since 2015, the KB has played a coordinating role for the network of the public library.

The Hague City Hall (Stadhuis) is the city hall of The Hague, Netherlands.

The Kinderboekenmuseum (Children's Book Museum) is a museum in The Hague, Netherlands, dedicated to Dutch language children's books. It opened in 1994.

The Netherlands Institute for Art History or RKD (Dutch: RKD-Nederlands Instituut voor Kunstgeschiedenis), previously Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie (RKD), is located in The Hague and is home to the largest art history center in the world. The center specializes in documentation, archives, and books on Western art from the late Middle Ages until modern times. All of this is open to the public, and much of it has been digitized and is available on their website. The main goal of the bureau is to collect, categorize, and make art research available, most notably in the field of Dutch Masters. Via the available databases, the visitor can gain insight into archival evidence on the lives of many artists of past centuries. The library owns approximately 450,000 titles, of which ca. 150,000 are auction catalogs. There are ca. 3,000 magazines, of which 600 are currently running subscriptions. Though most of the text is in Dutch, the standard record format includes a link to library entries and images of known works, which include English as well as Dutch titles. The RKD also manages the Dutch version of the Art and Architecture Thesaurus, a thesaurus of terms for management of information on art and architecture. The original version is an initiative of the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, California.

Het Plein (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɦət ˈplɛin]; English: The Square) is a town square in the old city centre of The Hague in the Netherlands. It is located adjacent to the Binnenhof, the meeting place of the States General of the Netherlands; the entrance to the House of Representatives can be found on Plein 2. The Mauritshuis art museum is located on Plein 29.Het Plein was originally a garden, forming a part of the Binnenhof castle, residence of the Counts of Holland. It was used to grow vegetables for the court. The garden was surrounded by a ring of canals and intersected by ditches. As a town square, Het Plein was constructed in 1632 and was inspired by the Place des Vosges in Paris. A statue of William the Silent, made by Dutch sculptor Lodewyk Royer, was installed in the centre of the square in 1848.

Malieveld (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmaːlivɛlt] (listen), literally "pall-mall field") is a large grass field in the city center of The Hague, Netherlands, located opposite the central train station. The field is widely known in the Netherlands for being the location of many large-scale demonstrations. It is also used for festivals, funfairs, concerts and other big events.
