The Osaka Maritime Museum (なにわの海の時空館, Naniwa no Umi no Jikūkan) was a maritime museum in Osaka, Japan. It was opened by the Mayor of Osaka City on 14 July 2000 having started on site in March 1998. Designed by architect Paul Andreu with engineering design by Arup and Tohata. the museum was built on reclaimed land in the Bay of Osaka at a cost of 12.8bn yen, with a replica Edo period trading ship, the Naniwa Maru as its centrepiece. The requirement of the dome to resist seismic, wave, and wind loads and its successful completion, led to the building winning a Structural Special Award in 2002 from the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK.The museum was closed on 10 March 2013 because of financial problems, and because the number of visitors had greatly reduced after the museum's initial popularity.

Kongo Gakuen Elementary, Middle & High School (金剛学園小学校・中学校・高等学校, Kongō Gakuen Shōgakkō Chūgakkō Kōtōgakkō, Korean: 오사카금강학원 Geumgang Hagwon) is a South Korean international school in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan. The school was established in 1946. It is recognised by the government of Osaka Prefecture as a private school under Article 1 of Japan's School Education Act.

Yumeshima (夢洲) is an artificial island in Osaka Bay. It is part of Konohana-ku (此花区), one of the 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. It is near the mouth of the Yodo River. When all the landfill is completed the total area will be 390 hectares (960 acres). It will be the site of Expo 2025, a World's Fair to be held in 2025.

Cosmosquare Station (コスモスクエア駅, Kosumosukuea-eki) is a metro station on the Osaka Metro Chūō Line and Nankō Port Town Line (New Tram) in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan. This station serves as the starting terminus of both lines. This station is the westernmost station of the Osaka metro system as of 2024.

Trade Center-mae Station (トレードセンター前駅, Torēdosentā-mae-eki, lit. "In front of Trade Center") is a train station on the Nankō Port Town Line (New Tram) in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan. The station serves Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building (formerly Osaka World Trade Center Building or WTC Cosmo Tower), the third tallest building in Japan, from which it got its name from.

The Yumemai Bridge (夢舞大橋, yumemai ōhashi) is a floating moveable bridge in Konohana District, Osaka, Japan. It spans the North Waterway connecting the man-made islands Yumeshima and Maishima of Osaka Port.It comprises a floating bridge over the waterway, transitional girder bridges on both ends of the floating bridge, and approach bridges on Yumeshima and Maishima. The bridge is supported on two large steel pontoons. Ordinarily, the bridge allows a navigation passage width of 135m. In the event that the main waterway is out of service, the bridge is swung by tugboats to widen the passage width to 200m or more, enabling the passage of larger vessels.

Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences (森ノ宮医療大学, Morinomiya iryō daigaku) is a private university in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan, established in 2007.

The Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building (大阪府咲洲庁舎, Ōsaka fu Sakishima chōsha) or Cosmo Tower (コスモタワー, Kosumo Tawā) is the second tallest building in Osaka and the third tallest building in Japan. Until 2010, it was known as Osaka World Trade Center Building (大阪ワールドトレードセンタービルディング, Ōsaka Wārudo Torēdo Sentā Birudingu) or WTC Cosmo Tower (WTCコスモタワー, Daburyūtīshī Kosumo Tawā). It is located in Nanko Cosmo Square, near the Osaka harbor, in Suminoe-ku. The skyscraper rises 256 m (840 ft), the same height as the Rinku Gate Tower Building in Izumisano. It contains three basement floors, a museum, restaurants, office space, a conference room, a skylobby and an observation deck, which is located in an inverted pyramid at the top of the structure. The building houses the working office for the governor of Osaka Prefecture.

The Osaka-Lake Biwa Marathon (大阪マラソン, Osaka Marathon) is an annual marathon road running event for elite and non-elite men and non-elite women over the classic distance of 42.195 kilometres which is held in late October in the city of Osaka, Japan. There is also a "challenge run" with a distance of 8.8km. In 2019 edition of the race, a new race course was introduced where it starts near to and finishes at the Osaka Castle Park. The event is jointly hosted by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and Yomiuri Shimbun, a Japanese national newspaper. The first edition took place on October 30, 2011. In total, 27161 runners started the marathon race and of these 26175 finished the full distance.The 2020 edition of the race was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.In 2022, an organisational change by JAAF meant the race was merged into the Lake Biwa Marathon. The elite men's race is now the Lake Biwa Marathon.

The Maishima Sports Island (舞洲スポーツアイランド, Maeshima Supōtsu Airando) is a park with sports facilities in Maishima, Konohana-ku, Osaka, Japan. The official name in the Osaka City Ordinance is Osaka Port Sports Island (Osakakou Sports Island). The facility is owned by the city of Osaka, and is operated and managed by the Mizuno Group (a joint venture of Mizuno, Nankai Building Service, Japan Panause, and Hobby Life) as a designated manager.

Maishima (舞洲) is an artificial island located in Konohana-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture Japan. The area is about 220 hectares.One of the three artificial island districts that was the subject of the "Technoport Osaka" plan formulated in 1988 with the aim of developing a new city center.

INTEX Osaka (インテックス大阪, Intekkusu Ōsaka), officially known as International Exhibition Center, Osaka (大阪国際見本市会場, Ōsaka kokusai mihon-ichi kaijō), is a convention and exhibition center in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. The center is located on the Business Creation and Information Transmission Zone of Cosmosquare District in Sakishima Island, a planned business exchange and trading district in Osaka Bay area. With 72,978 square meters of exhibition area, the venue ranks third in the nation, behind Tokyo Big Sight and Makuhari Messe in terms of total exhibition space. The abbreviation "INTEX" stands for "INTernational EXhibition center."
