The Osaka-Lake Biwa Marathon (大阪マラソン, Osaka Marathon) is an annual marathon road running event for elite and non-elite men and non-elite women over the classic distance of 42.195 kilometres which is held in late October in the city of Osaka, Japan. There is also a "challenge run" with a distance of 8.8km. In 2019 edition of the race, a new race course was introduced where it starts near to and finishes at the Osaka Castle Park. The event is jointly hosted by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and Yomiuri Shimbun, a Japanese national newspaper. The first edition took place on October 30, 2011. In total, 27161 runners started the marathon race and of these 26175 finished the full distance.The 2020 edition of the race was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.In 2022, an organisational change by JAAF meant the race was merged into the Lake Biwa Marathon. The elite men's race is now the Lake Biwa Marathon.

The center is located on the Business Creation and Information Transmission Zone of Cosmosquare District in Sakishima Island, a planned business exchange and trading district in Osaka Bay area. With 72,978 square meters of exhibition area, the venue ranks third in the nation, behind Tokyo Big Sight and Makuhari Messe in terms of total exhibition space. The abbreviation "INTEX" stands for "INTernational EXhibition center."

The Osaka Auto Messe (大阪オートメッセ) is an annual auto show that is held at Intex Osaka in Osaka, Japan since 1997. It focuses on modified car and car after parts. It is one of the biggest auto shows in Japan. Usually, it is held for 3 days on a weekend on the middle of February. More than 200,000 people attend it almost every session. In an ordinary year, most of the famous car makers, parts makers and tuners bring their latest demo-cars to the exhibit.

This station serves as the starting terminus of both lines. This station is the westernmost station of the Osaka metro system as of 2024.

The school was established in 1946. It is recognised by the government of Osaka Prefecture as a private school under Article 1 of Japan's School Education Act.

The Osaka Maritime Museum (なにわの海の時空館, Naniwa no Umi no Jikūkan) was a maritime museum in Osaka, Japan. It was opened by the Mayor of Osaka City on 14 July 2000 having started on site in March 1998. Designed by architect Paul Andreu with engineering design by Arup and Tohata. the museum was built on reclaimed land in the Bay of Osaka at a cost of 12.8bn yen, with a replica Edo period trading ship, the Naniwa Maru as its centrepiece. The requirement of the dome to resist seismic, wave, and wind loads and its successful completion, led to the building winning a Structural Special Award in 2002 from the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK.The museum was closed on 10 March 2013 because of financial problems, and because the number of visitors had greatly reduced after the museum's initial popularity.

Soai University (相愛大学, Sōai Daigaku) is a private university in the city of Osaka, Japan. It was established in 1888, initially as a women's university. Famous people with ties to Soai include alumni Hideo Ishikawa, Haruko Okamoto, Mihoko Shuku and Yasuhito Sugiyama.
