Via Manzoni, is a busy and fashionable street in the Italian city of Milan which leads from the Piazza della Scala north-west towards Piazza Cavour. Notable buildings include the Museo Poldi Pezzoli, the elegant Grand Hotel et de Milan, which was the place of Giuseppe Verdi’s death in 1901, and several fine palazzi. Via Manzoni was originally called Corsia del Giardino before the crossroad with Via Monte Napoleone and Corso di Porta Nuova up until Piazza Cavour. In 1990, when the Montenapoleone station was opened, a fountain designed by Aldo Rossi was placed in Via Croce Rossa, as a monument to Sandro Pertini.

Porta Nuova (pronounced [ˈpɔrta ˈnwɔːva]; literally "New Gate"; Milanese: Pòrta Noeuva [ˈpɔrta ˈnøːʋa]) is one of the two medieval gates of Milan that still exist in the modern city (together with the medieval Porta Ticinese). It is sited along the ancient "Navigli Ring" on the perimeter of the medieval walls of the city. Originally built in the twelfth century, Porta Nuova was restored in the nineteenth century with the insertion of two lateral passages next to the two central arcs and the addition of some ancient Roman steles on the external facade of the gate. The external facade, overlooking Cavour square (Piazza Cavour), preserve the original appearance with a marble shrine of the Madonna and Child with Saints.

Montenapoleone is a station on Line 3 of the Milan Metro which opened on May 3, 1990, as part of the inaugural section of the line between Duomo and Centrale. The station is located on Via Montenapoleone at the intersection with Via Alessandro Manzoni, in the city centre of Milan. It is located right in the center of the fashion district of Milan, near La Scala and Museo Poldi Pezzoli. The station, like all the others on Line 3, is underground. In the first projects of the line, the station was to be called Manzoni.

The Quadrilatero della moda (Italian pronunciation: [kwadriˈlaːtero della ˈmɔːda]; literally "fashion square"), or Via Montenapoleone fashion district, is a high-class shopping district in the centre of the Italian city of Milan, characterised by the presence of numerous boutiques and related retail outlets which represent most of the world's major fashion houses.The sides of the square, located to the south of the arches of Porta Nuova, are formed by Via Montenapoleone (SW), Via Manzoni (NW), Via della Spiga (NE), and Corso Venezia (SE). Streets inside this area include Via Borgospesso, Via Santo Spirito, Via Gesù, Via Sant'Andrea, Via Bagutta, and Via Baggutino. The zone extends in practice also to the north-west of Via Manzoni with Via Pisoni, and to the south and west of Via Montenapoleone with Corso Giacomo Matteotti (this last meets Corso Venezia at Piazza San Babila), Piazza Meda, Via San Pietro all'Orto, and Via Verri.

The Centro Svizzero Milano (English: Milan Swiss Center) is an early skyscraper and a landmark in Milan, Italy. Built in 1949-51 to replace the Hotel Cavour, it was Milan's highest building until 1954, when it was overtaken by the so-called "Breda Tower". The tower is situated at Via Palestro 2-4, near the center of Milan, and has a height of 20 stories (80 m). Its construction by architects Armin Meili and Giovanni Romano was initiated by the Swiss Association of Milan as a replacement of their former headquarters that were destroyed by a 1943 bombing raid. Nowadays, it also houses among others the Swiss General Consulate, the Swiss Institute of Culture and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, as well as offices of Switzerland Tourism and Swiss TV and Radio. The building is owned by the Swiss Federal Authorities.

Palazzo Gavazzi is a Neoclassical palace in Del Monte district, Milan, Italy. It is typical of the mansions built during the Restoration period, designed by Luigi Clerichetti in 1838 for the wealthy Gavazzi family. Each floor bears its own decorations; Doric columns on the ground floor and various pilasters on the first and second floors, rather than the huge decorative works which were popular at the time. The symmetrical facade, covering three levels, is centred on a portal with four Ionic half-columns supporting the first-floor balcony. The residence was the home of Carlo Cattaneo from 1840 to 1848.

Valentino S.p.A. is an Italian luxury fashion house founded in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and part of Valentino Fashion Group. Since October 2008, the creative director is Pierpaolo Piccioli. Via Monte Napoleone, also spelled Via Montenapoleone, is an upscale shopping street in Milan, Italy, and Europe's third most expensive street (2019). It is famous for its ready-to-wear fashion and jewelry shops, and for being the most important street of the Milan fashion district known as the Quadrilatero della moda, where many well-known fashion designers have high-end boutiques. The most exclusive Italian shoemakers maintain boutiques on this street. In 2009, architect Fabio Novembre designed a months-long art installation, titled Per fare un albero, ‘To make a tree’ in conjunction with the city of Milan's Department of Design, Events and Fashion and Fiat — featuring 20 full-size fiberglass planter replicas of the company's 500C cabriolet along Via Monte Napoleone.In 2002, the Street Association started a media project including the Radio and the Portal, in order to relaunch the Made in Italy brand. Sponsored by the Department of Fashion, Tourism and Major Events of the Municipality of Milan, Italy Fashion System, and Assomoda, today it is the first instrument of revival and information on Made in Italy worldwide.
