Har Gilo (Hebrew: הַר גִּלֹה, lit. 'Mount Gilo'; Arabic: هار جيلو) is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank, organized as a community settlement, located about 2 kilometers west of the Palestinian city of Bethlehem and 5 kilometers south of Jerusalem, in the northern Judean hills. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.

Gilo (Hebrew: גִּלֹה) is an Israeli settlement in south-western East Jerusalem, with a population of 30,000, mostly Jewish inhabitants. Although it is located within the Jerusalem Municipality, it is widely considered a settlement, because as one of the five Ring Neighborhoods built by Israel surrounding Jerusalem, it was built on land in the West Bank that was occupied by and effectively annexed to Israel following the 1967 Six-Day War and 1980 Jerusalem Law.The international community regards Israeli settlements illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this. Israel also disputes its designation as a settlement, and it is administered as part of the Jerusalem municipality.

Al-Walaja (Arabic: الولجة) is a Palestinian village in the West Bank, four kilometers northwest of Bethlehem. It is an enclave in the Seam Zone, near the Green Line. Al-Walaja is partly under the jurisdiction of the Bethlehem Governorate and partly of the Jerusalem Municipality. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the village had a population of 2,671 in 2017. It has been called 'the most beautiful village in Palestine'.Al-Walaja was depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, in October 1948. It lost about 70% of its land, west of the Green Line. After the war, the displaced inhabitants resettled on the remaining land in the West Bank. After its occupation by Israel during the Six-Day War, Israel annexed about half of al-Walaja's remaining land, including the neighborhood Ain Jawaizeh, to the Jerusalem Municipality. Large parts of the land were confiscated for the construction of the Israeli West Bank barrier and the Israeli settlements of Har Gilo and Gilo, one of the Ring Neighborhoods of Jerusalem.

The murder of Ori Ansbacher (Hebrew: רצח אוֹרי אַנְסְבַּכֶר, also known as the Ein Yael attack) was a terror attack on 7 February 2019 during which a Palestinian man raped and then murdered Ori Ansbacher, a 19-year-old Israeli woman from Tekoa.

Jerusalem Biblical Zoo railway station is a defunct Israel Railways station on the Jaffa-Jerusalem railway, located in the southwestern part of the city next to the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. The station saw limited service; with only 26,445 passengers recorded in 2019, it was the country's second least-used station, ahead of only Dimona railway station. Service to the station has been suspended entirely since March 2020 due to poor usage combined with the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2021, the whole rail section between Beit Shemesh railway station and Jerusalem is inoperative until either a replacement is found for the decommissioned IC3 trains, or the line undergoes a massive renovation.

Beit Jala (Arabic: ) is a Palestinian Christian town in the Bethlehem Governorate of Palestine, in the West Bank. Beit Jala is located 10 km (6.2 mi)10 km south of Jerusalem, on the western side of the Hebron road, opposite Bethlehem, at 825 meters (2,707 ft) altitude. In 2017, Beit Jala had 13,484 inhabitants according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. About 80% of the population were Christians (mostly Greek Orthodox) and about 20% Muslims. Saint Nicholas – the inspiration for Santa Claus – is the patron saint of Beit Jala, where the Church of Saint Nicholas was built over a crypt where it is believed he lived for a couple years during his time in Palestine.

Talitha Kumi - German Evangelical Lutheran School (Arabic: طاليثا قومي), is a German international school in Beit Jala, West Bank, in the State of Palestine. The school, located in proximity to Bethlehem and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Jerusalem, serves Kindergarten, and primary school through senior high school level. Students may obtain the Tawjihi and/or the Deutsche Internationale Abiturprüfung (DIAP). The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land operates the school. The name "Talitha Kumi" originates from Aramaic words which mean "Get up, girl!" or "Little girl, I tell you to get up," a phrase stated by Jesus Christ when he resurrected Jairus's daughter. As of 2015 Rolf Lindemann is the principal of Talitha Kumi.The Talitha Kumi Community College is a post-secondary community college for hotel management operated by Talitha Kumi.

The Gottesman Family Israel Aquarium is a public aquarium in Jerusalem, Israel that was opened on June 19, 2017. The aquarium focuses on Israel's marine environment - the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Sea of Galilee, and the Dead Sea. The aquarium was built by the Tish family, and is located next to the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem.

The Tisch Family Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem (Hebrew: גן החיות התנ"כי בירושלים על שם משפחת טיש, Arabic: حديقة الحيوان الكتابية في أورشليم القدس Ḥadīqat al-Ḥaiwān al-Kitābīya Ūrushalīm al-Quds), popularly known as the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, is a zoo located in the Malha neighborhood of Jerusalem. It is famous for its Afro-Asiatic collection of wildlife, many of which are described in the Hebrew Bible, as well as for its success in breeding endangered species. According to Dun and Bradstreet, the Biblical Zoo was the most popular tourist attraction in Israel from 2005 to 2007, and logged a record 738,000 visitors in 2009. The zoo had about 55,000 members in 2009.

Givat Massuah (Hebrew: גבעת משואה, lit. 'Beacon Hill') is a new neighborhood in the southwest outskirts of Jerusalem, overlooking Malha and Emek Lavan Valley. It has a population of 1,100 families, mainly secular and Orthodox Jews. Givat Massuah was established in 1996. Givat Massuah is built in a modern style and has many parks, trees and playgrounds. Services offered in Givat Massuah include a grocery store, barber shop, bakery, two medical centers, several kindergartens, elementary school, three Orthodox synagogues, a Bnei Akiva and Scouting branch.

Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA) (Hebrew: בית הספר התיכון הישראלי למדעים ולאמנויות) is an Israeli boarding school for gifted high school students.

Al-Khader Stadium is an international football stadium in the Palestinian town of al-Khader near Bethlehem. It was inaugurated on August 6, 2007 with a match between local team Shabab Al-Khadr, and Maccabi Ahi Nazareth, an Israeli Arab team from Nazareth. The stadium was constructed with funding from Portugal through the Portuguese Institute for Cooperation for Development. Al-Khader Stadium cost roughly $2 million to build and could host over 6,000 spectators. It is the home stadium of Shabab Al-Khadr. In addition to football, the stadium hosts the annual al-Khader Festival of Arts and Culture and the grape festival of the town.
